I've been caring for kids since my first babysitting job at the age of 11. I never would have harmed that child, or any other child in my care. And my eldest child has been very challenging. It got to the point where we called child services for help and then took parenting classes to learn how to better parent for his behavior issues. An adult steps up to the plate when it comes to caring for kids. And if you can't do it, don't take on a babysitting job.

I had a babysitter when I was about 4 and I specially remember her pinching me and being mean to me. One time she wouldn’t let me run out to play with my siblings. I was holding a baton and when she reached close the glass door the baton went through it and broke the glass. My sister witnessed this and because of that my mother came home, fired the woman immediately. She knew very well I could go outside to play and there was no reason to keep me inside the house. I was so happy this woman was fired. I finally felt safe again. There are just mean people.

If the dad had just taken his child to the doctor to ask if all the bruises seemed normal, he would have found out exactly what the detective said about the location of normal childhood bruising.

Unless you are willing to literally die to save a child you should not be in a position to care for them. I cannot imagine the pain of trying to find a sense of normal with the loss of your child hanging over you and I personally don't think I could manage it.

Why is it that the murder of children is taken so lightly. A chance of parole after 15 years, REALLY! This isn’t a person or even human being, but a Monster. If nothing else, thank God her own child is safe from the same possible fate. The poor father. I can’t IMAGINE how he’ll be able to deal with the loss of his child in such a horrific manner. And now, in just 15 short years, he’ll have to relive this nightmare to try and keep this monster in jail, as opposed to parole.
