I remember being on VIA’s Skeena in 1998 going from Prince Rupert to Jasper. Our train was only three cars long. Going through the Yellowhead Pass, the young conductor, who knew I was a railfan, invited me up into the dome of the dome-observation car. There we passed VIA’s Canadian. I was floored… 25 cars long!! What a beauty!
I've always admired the Canadian way of fixing passenger cars from the 1940's and pulling them with locomotives from the 1970's; it's like a railroad museum except the equipment is still in service.
Mind always blown when I watch your videos. And your backdrops and amazing. Wish I had a artistic talent to paint that ,but instead I spent a bunch of money on pictures of trees.
Grant, it is almost impossible to see your layout as an N scale layout, it looks so real. All the cars and loco run flawlessly, no wobbles or bumps as they move along. Video and photos have a tendency to show every flaw in track and running. Gratz on a job well done.
Another excellent video, Grant! Each scene is so realistic and well done and the train operates very smoothly at a prototypical speed. First class train in a first class video! Mike
I've read all of the comments and as true as they are none of them even come close in describing how truly magical your layout is............and my comments will also fall on the weak side. Grant you should be knighted for your contributions to the art world. Regards tones1957 (New Zealand)
Great running train through great scenery, kinda wish that VIA would occasionally detour a #1 or #2 across the Crowsnest pass... Oh yeah, you need more Manors in the consist. 🙂
Thanks Jon. Rode behind 2816 over the Crow but a dome seat would be another level. Love to have more Manors. I suggested to the Rapido crew that 2 or 3 pack Manor add ons would be a good idea for N scalers that want to model an accurate modern train. Silence…….
Thanks Ron. I have seen those Saudi 70's, neat looking units!. QNSL units also have a familiar feel... The basic sar paint scheme has been around for almost 40 years... Makes me wonder if the proto guys saw something they liked!!! Cheers. -grant

It is a cool experience riding on equipment from the 50's in regular service. It sure beatst Superliners!!
Simply superb Grant ... impressive, most impressive!
Thanks AJ!

Grant, very nice again. There is no better way to set the RAPIDO Train in the scene.😎
Thanks! It is s great looking set. I would love to have a few more Manor cars to flesh it out a touch more!
SPECTACULAR
Thanks!
Very well done scenery New here looking forward to more OVR sent me over. Great video via 👍🏻🚂TSM
Thanks for stopping in for a look Mike. Cheers. -grant
Stunning!!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Very Nice! How do the Rapido cars look at night with the lights on?
I modified mu set with fine scale wheels which negated the lighting. I was never happy with the lighting anyway. Kept turning on and off at random….
Awesome video and song My friend
Thanks Chris!
Excellent
Thank you David! Cheers. -grant
Straight awesome 😎
Thanks!
Great video!!
Thanks a bunch!
Fantastic as always, Grant!
Where do I book tickets??
Thanks again!
Thanks John!
Another gorgeous glimpse of your 1:160 world, Grant! Is that a Rapido set? (I'm so out of touch since my store days!)
Yes it’s the Rapido set with the Prestige add on. Thanks for watching. -grant
Grant, Beautiful layout as always.
BTW, have you ever seen the Saudi Arabian SD70ACS paint scheme?
Close to yours. Check it out.
