The interviewer pretty much ignores the girls. I’d like to hear more about what they had to say. They all seem like nice kids though. Everyone has to have a hobby. This looks like it is as good as any.

Sign of the times. The men dominated. The women had no confidence to speak up.

Great kids. I grew up in the 80s and used to run into Teds from time to time. Always a hello. Never wanted trouble. Great times!
Went to Japan in the 90s and there were Teds everywhere. Rockabilly dancers at the entrance to Yoyogi Park in Harajuku.

All mean duds, I do not include the girls, I would be scared of those hard-rocking men, I would step off the footpath just to let them walk by, I would be shaking in my shoes, Only kidding all during my long life and many hundreds of jigs and concerts, getting to see some of the greatest bands big and small, I never came across any trouble, great music was what mattered. the people on this video all are very decent gentle music-loving people, Long may they Rock, long may the Roll all the way down the highway of their lives

They must have been delighted when Eddie Rockets opened a few years later, never out of the place I'd say.

How many different genres were there back then? I remember Rastas skins mods rockabilly heavy metal rockers new romantic punks. I'm 52 & I suppose there's about as many today?

Lou Walsh and Simon cowell have destroyed music it's almost impossible today for a young original band to succeed it's all about money and not about culture kids are way more cynical and want to be a celebredy more than to be original or rebellious and the days when music was important in terms of its ability to bring about societal change are gone .Still rock n roll helped to stop the shocking racial segregation in the USA and saved thousands of life's by hastening the end of the War or rather the policing operation as the USA government termed it in Vietnam and gave us the social freedoms we take for granted today but it's now history .Kids today are also more influenced by visual media rather than audio in general.
