    Love your videos bro!

    Really enjoy these videos!
    Too bad it's not an M50B25NV, I'm really looking for a good non vanos video.
    (Especially the oil & wiring part, because these NV OBD1 ECU's don't really work for boost & there's not a lot of Pnp stand alone solutions)

      If you are willing to spend the money, link makes a great ecu and there are pnp adapters!

    • @8KGarage
      @8KGarage 6 месяцев назад

      @@aco.b Their pnp solution doesn't support the M50B25NV on the standard OBD1 harness. (Is what they speak of on their product page)
      Only supports M50TUB25, which has me questioning if I could run it if I swap over to that harness & sensors, etc.

      @8KGarage checkout pnpecu they make an adapter for the non vanos engines

    Clock the turbo 180* and angle the 90 boot forward and I think you can get rid of a lot of that piping

      This was the first orientation i tried, unfortunately it hits the front tub section of the wheel arch with this manifold. Would require having to cut it out and have the piping sit close to the wheels turning radius. It is definitely a potential option down the road if i run into any issues with the current setup.

    Update the ecu to ms41.3 it has afr reading instructions of factory o2 and change the dual channel o2 to single and the ecu will run off the wideband

    Look up Rk tunes vidoe on turboing e36's better use vibrant vacuum hoses. And also vibrant fuel hose at the pump.

    What engine management system/ software are you using?! Thinking about getting in to the bmw game but tuning is what worries me the most.

      @aco.b  5 месяцев назад +1

      Just stock ecu (MS41.1), there are plenty of videos online on how to tune it or you can pay for a remote tune service (from rk tunes, chaos calibrations, etc)

    I think your turbo drain is on too much of an angle and you might get smoke, you could try clock it the other way and use a Cummins oil drain ( flexible metal ones).

    • @aco.b
      @aco.b  6 месяцев назад

      Wont work in any other direction with the manifold and wastegate in the way, yes the cummins metal drain is on my list if I have any issues with this one

  • @Driftlife36
    @Driftlife36 6 месяцев назад

    Shouldn’t the drain be above the oil level in the pan? By having it at the bottom you are going to have oil in the drain and the turbo oil won’t have anywhere to go

    • @Driftlife36
      @Driftlife36 6 месяцев назад

      I wouldn’t do this brotha, that material they use on the an fittings won’t withstand multiple oil changes if it doesn’t back up the oil from being at the bottom of the pan

    • @aco.b
      @aco.b  6 месяцев назад

      Yep, above the oil level is ideal. Like i said, ive seen others do this without issue so thought id give it a try to see for myself. In theory the level of oil in the drain wont exceed the level in the pan, if it doesnt work out ill just weld a bung higher or in the timing cover.

    Can you just get an aftermarket ecu for a tune ? Hurd it's hard to tune the ecu on these or nobody around me wants to do it

    • @aco.b
      @aco.b  6 месяцев назад

      Not too difficult on the stock ecu, plenty of videos online if you want to do it yourself. There are also a few companies that offer remote tuning on stock ecus (rk tunes, chaos calibrations etc)
