You're right. The reason there's no sound in that last one is that the Labour party who were in opposition at that time did not savage the government on any issue whatsoever. They were practically in-audible. Contestant's name is funny because Albury and Wodonga are a pair of cities either side of the Murray river (which is also the border between the states of New South Wales and Victoria). They are effectively one and are often referred to as Albury/Wodonga. As for the sound of money being a board meeting of a Sydney water company. I don't live in NSW but this is my understanding of the issue. The State government owned Sydney water contracted a private company for various works. Upon scrutiny it appeared that they paid a lot of money for what they got. There were legal moves to recover monies. It was settled out of court. But yeah possible corrupt dealings - I'm a bit Sgt Schultz on it really.

Much later, but there are a series of twin-towns on the Murray River, Albury-Wodonga (NSW-Vic), Yarrawonga-Mulwala (Vic-NSW), Echuca-Moama (Vic-NSW) and then Renmark and Paringa (SA-SA). Each of them grew up around a major crossing point on the river.
