These guys were so amazing, absolute genius. As an American I almost never knew who they were talking about, and they could still make me laugh so hard I would be left gasping for air. Bullshit is truly an international language.
It's not the bullshit, it's because it's also English of a sort that they're speaking
One is speaking Strine, the other Nuzild.@@benjaminmllerjensen8705
Australian legends, sadly missed. Make sure you find the episode “the front fell off” !
@@rogerthompson1622Clarke was a Kiwi, you guys are always stealing our legends. You can have crowded house though, you’re welcome.
@@The-Real-Ando I willingly stand corrected.
That's the sound of the ALP...
Perfect.
LNP too...
"Is that someone letting some of the air out of George Brandis?"
Timeless wisdom, years and years go by, and nothing changes.
I like these warm old friends
as brilliant and as relevant as if it was a clip for today!!!
I’m not even in the same hemisphere, either way it’s cut; have no knowledge of the specifics of the content they’re covering, yet can appreciate the rapier wit
Missing John Clarke, don't see Mr Dawe much these days either
Aubrey Wadonga, just brilliant in every way.
Albury Wodonga
I miss you guys.
“Your special subject tonight is identifying sounds”
“I beg your pardon?”
Hilarious 😂
Perfect! :D
I'm in tears 😂 I havent laughed so much since they fucked up the military my grandad was in at his funeral. "Jim was a wonderful man 25 years at sea"
He was in the RAF lmfao 🤣
We still have lots of fully grown Friesians in South Gippsland…..;)
Hilarious, irreverent and unlike the bullshitters they lampooned....honest and right on point, everytime. Much missed.❤
Genius, as always.
I'm not sure about that last sound. They said it was the ALP, but I'm not sure that's correct. I think it's the sound of Malcolm Turnbull taking a strong, principled stand on an important issue.
Must have been listening to the background noise then?
don't you mean 'an important isyou' ? (apologies Brian)
LOL!
How's it compare to Scomo :D
No, it's correct. ALP do barely anything to counter LNP, and in fact align with them far too often.
these guys are hilarious
This is great.
And now the ICAC hearings are just as loud as that last sound.
Damn, I wish I understand australian politics and issues. I'm sure these would be hilarious.
collapse
No worries collapse, same old bribery and corruption as politics everywhere just a little more laconic. And yes, they are.
Don't worry, many Australians don't understand it either.
trust me, they are
You're right. The reason there's no sound in that last one is that the Labour party who were in opposition at that time did not savage the government on any issue whatsoever. They were practically in-audible. Contestant's name is funny because Albury and Wodonga are a pair of cities either side of the Murray river (which is also the border between the states of New South Wales and Victoria). They are effectively one and are often referred to as Albury/Wodonga. As for the sound of money being a board meeting of a Sydney water company. I don't live in NSW but this is my understanding of the issue. The State government owned Sydney water contracted a private company for various works. Upon scrutiny it appeared that they paid a lot of money for what they got. There were legal moves to recover monies. It was settled out of court. But yeah possible corrupt dealings - I'm a bit Sgt Schultz on it really.
Same politics in every country. Just change the names
Brilliant
I was sure they were going to put the sounds together in a way that sounded like a chainsaw cutting down a tree, which then fell and nobody heard it.
Watching in June 2022
I have no idea what they are talking about but they are funny
Intelligent stuff. Called having a go in Lancashire
Gold
I'd love to see these guys do bits on international figures...
John Clarke is no longer alive.
Some of their routines wereabout the UK, EU and US
"Human voice..." 🤣
Can anyone explain the name pun in this one? I usually catch them easily, but not this time.
Semyon Galtsev look up albury and/or wandonga two citys
Albury Wodonga are adjoining cities on the border of New South Wales and Victoria, Australia. (I am in a northern suburb of Albury, right now)
Thanks, chaps!
Much later, but there are a series of twin-towns on the Murray River, Albury-Wodonga (NSW-Vic), Yarrawonga-Mulwala (Vic-NSW), Echuca-Moama (Vic-NSW) and then Renmark and Paringa (SA-SA). Each of them grew up around a major crossing point on the river.
@aaronleverton4221
Interesting context, thanks for that. Not many twin-towns in North America, we mostly developed outposts on one bank of a river or where two rivers meet (until modern development & urban sprawl took over, of course).
I live in Wodonga, that’s a joke in itself.
Me struggling to remember the contemporary events of 2014.....
I remember ALP under Shorten not challenging PM Abbott on any of his bs because Bill was too busy licking the wounds of the ALP to come out strong on any issue. It was, strangely enough, left to Clive Palmer who held the balance of power in the Senate to hold the govt accountable.
No way, that was CLEARLY a Texas long horn.
Actually, it sounded more like a male bovine providing material for political promises.

orbrey widonga - can someone translate this one for me?
Albury wodonga is what his name is and it is a joke about towns of slbury and wodonga which are towns that sit acrross from each other of Australia's largest river and are often referred to as albruy-wodonga
Can anyone tell me the name of their introductory music?
Is that a Sydney Water reference?
Labor, quietly savageing since 2014.
Lol! In usa would be the sound of ..... crickets ...
Fukn Classic
Haha
Imagine what they would do with Donald thump
They did a brilliant one when he’s was running for President. But you’re right, they would have had a field day with him during his presidency.
i woulda loved to see the savaging they would have given biden..... The mainstream media treats him with kit gloves and covers up his corruption..... trump is too easy and was already taregetted by all media, so the jokes just turned into a political circle jerk.
There are too many boring and incessantly repetitive RUclips ads in your video.
Get adblock, it's free and really works. I don't get any ads.
If your Google search history was more interesting, they would give you better ads
@@poida66 You are hilarious
Sound 2: That will be a U.S. school shooter trying to reload his gun
I thought it was the sound of infanticide in China

Of coarse half the team was a kiwi ( John Clarke)
We prefer to call him Fred Dag.😂
They were so onto the absurdity of the political bs we're expected to believe is for our benefit
No, actually - They created the absurdity of the political bs we’re expected to believe is for our benefit! Anyone stupid enough to think otherwise obviously isn’t an Aussie, live in Australia - and putting up with the bullshit lies other people have made of our political system!
Stumbled upon these blokes from the other end of the earth. When they're good, they're great.
But am I the only one who thinks their few Front Fell Off/Tabloid Publisher type of banter/talking-over-each-other videos are absolutely brilliant, but these Q&A type videos - with Dawe always saying "correct" - are dull and monotonous?
It seems the longer they went on, the more they stuck to this formula. Curious what Australians think of it. Cheers...
I agree that it was overused and not their best. All their routines had elements that were current affairs and I think this format is even more confusing a decade after than their regular discussions.
Your thinking about it too much. How about you do better.
I gather this is suppose to be humour
I gather you don't understand humour.
Does anybody know the title of the intro music??
