Hi Mark, thanks for those kind words mate. Agree with most of that, Gino, Lossie & Jade definitely stood out. Under Control thought ran really well and dont think she'll have done her mark too much harm there although think she'll probably go Mares, JP doesn't seem to have an obvious representative there. Think on that running she'll be in the mix with Ashroe & Gala for a distant view of Lossie's backside and is a big price in comparison, could be really interesting in a without market maybe.
The campaign for Lossiemouth, pitching her into an open Gr2, Paul coming over for the ride, the fact that the Maestro has produced a Triumph winner in such good shape as a 5yo which is testament to his genius, the vibes from Ruby et al, the insistence that she wont be rushed......they know she is a truly great mare
I think this show along with Cheltmental are two of the most enjoyable podcasts out there.Really enjoy the simplicity no arrogance your personal view which i totally respect.Mark wondered if you could give your opinion about my planning for next years festival. Is this a good idea?. after about 30 years of love ❤️ doing ante post betting will be stopping after Gold cup day.My plan is to save from then after 52 x25 - 1,300 by March 10th 2025 and maybe have larger bets on the week before is this an idea you would consider Mark.
@Cheltenham-Chat Thanks Mark funny thing is Mark don't back now on the regular week racing even weekends. To much risk for me will have to be disciplined my wife will save it for me.A different plan ante post betting now is frustrating (the bookmakers take liberties great show.Backed Jade de grugy at 12s Mark you seem positive might not win but she looks classy keep the content coming enjoy the show.
Energumene lost the same race last year at odds-on through bad jumping and then won the CC. Henderson is in a bad patch atm so I could give him another chance espacially with NdB back up on the big day
Hendo is a hurdle specialist burde road is trained by someone I've never heard of. Sir Gino was always going to win but won't get placed at the festival
Maybe he won’t ride Jonbon again but he’s a good jockey and the horse jumped poorly. He’s won at Cheltenham but not at the festival. It’s all opinion but no matter who rides him I don’t think he’ll beat El Fabiolo.
I know all things tell ye jonbon won't beat fabiolo. Fancying jonbon makes no sense but I just can't get a jonbon win outta my head. Backed him at 5's on betfair
Jonbon was absolutely cantering before the last, then showed nothing, he may have won many races, but you have to take into account he is NOT a proper group 1 horse, when he meets proper group 1 horses. He will always be second best. Personally on Saturday his starting price was an ABSOLUTELY JOKE.
@ronaldmasters4031 is this the same Jonbon that already has won a grade 1 this season yeh? Talking nonsense, he didn't run well, for whatever reason. Still a very good horse, even if maybe not as good as El Fabiolo, who happens to be very very good.
why do people get offended when you say their selection and the price they chose is terrible? why would they not take on board information from someone who is sharper on the maths side? you said it mark, he is looking to back winners and not value (your words fella)
Don't blame the jockey jonbon is not that good if he couldn't beat a bunch of handicappers even with mistakes. He won't win at festival I doubt if he will even run Hendon will save him for aintree

I hope she will prove to be a star starting with the Mares.
enjoyed listening Mark
monkfish might be worth chancing 20/1 coral for the stayers be nearly fav if turns up on the day
It would be a great price if he got there and ran. That’s the risk.
You talk more sense about horse racing than perhaps anyone I’ve listened to.
Thanks Mark that’s very kind of you to say.
Good and fair assessment keep the videos coming

I think it’s all personal preference but saving every week is a great strategy.

What has energumene got to do with jonbon?
not much - just similar @@xWayne1991x
SIR GINO❤
He was fantastic yesterday.
Hendo is a hurdle specialist burde road is trained by someone I've never heard of. Sir Gino was always going to win but won't get placed at the festival
James Bowen .. the jockey on Jonbon .. will never ride him again ... Jonbon has won at Cheltenham btw ..

@@Cheltenham-Chatexactly, beaten 3 times all in grade one races at Cheltenham

No flies on him 14s in powers non runner no bet 16s best ante post back him in powers
I think he is a good horse. Next week will reveal how good.
I think no flies on him could be the supreme surprise... like you say nxt week will show
why do people get offended when you say their selection and the price they chose is terrible? why would they not take on board information from someone who is sharper on the maths side? you said it mark, he is looking to back winners and not value (your words fella)
Big risk with his injury record but if he ran it would be a great price.
Hi sorry earlier reply was for a Monkfish post. It is very much all opinion as to what is value.
i mean a novice against open grade 1 company is not value.. it wouldn't even be thin value. it's negative EV@@Cheltenham-Chat

I think Jonbon will go to Champion Chase. I just feel he will struggle to beat the fav.
@@Cheltenham-Chat you may be right but I just think he shows his best form on flat tracks and he's reached his peak he's no going to get any better
