Every car is not for all, that's why I always said that please share your requirements... Creta petrol is for good for a person not mean diesel will be a good choice same with Astor, seltos, kushaq, taigun, hyryder and grand vitara.

Yes my dear the moment battery is unable to support the 90 ps petrol engine with 120 nm torque will struggle too much to take you uphill with 4-5 people in the vehicle

However I have not heard of tata EV catching fire. Also I read about Li-ion batteries more prone to catch fire if exposed to high temp. Some people say that cars have some cooling system for these batteries. Summers in north can go upto 50 degree C hence the worry.

1. Engine will start whenever the car feels you need more power or your battery is getting drained out, it has nothing to do with speeds in at least the 0-100 range. You can drive on EV Mode if you're cruising at 40 or 60. 2. About 2-2.5 Kms at best.
@@varun8765 The battery recharges itself on braking and the engine first charges the battery which powers the tire during normal speeds 0-100. Above 100 the engine while also charging the battery, gives some power directly to the wheels as well. But this is not necessarily the situation, it might do that whenever you press the paddle hard. This whole system will get you a better mileage but yes you're right, solely on EV mode you won't drive long distances, but then you're not buying an EV vehicle, you're buying a Hybrid.

Then it would be a plug in hybrid car you have to charge the battery externally
This is not possible as changing the battery with mg set and internal circuitry is will be a problem. They are available as plug in hybrid.
