Totally understand what you mean with these regrets. When I started buying sneakers in 2020 I wanted a whole bunch of pairs and thought I’d wear them all but it’s impossible to have 20-50+ pairs and wear everything so I’m trying to sell off like 5 or 6 pairs so I can get some money back and tighten up the collection with pairs I really love and will wear a lot
I took a break from sneakers in 2016 or so and since I've come back, I tried to follow the old school sneakerhead way of tracking down releases I missed that I really liked. The feeling of hunting it down feels so good.

This happened to me and the Strawberry Milk dunks, they were suppose to be a Social Status Store exclusive so I paid around $400 for them and 2 weeks later they released everywhere.
I have those shoes as well. In the process of selling some of them. I actually got that same pair of 380s for like a $100 under retail off StockX. It was a fantastic deal.
My man, hold those Yeezy Compact Slate Red another year and you'll be wearing them all the time. Do yourself the favor and buy a vintage Russell Athletic hoodie in Red to fit with it now. The red Russells go for the absolute lowest right now, pity all I look for are grey or black lmao

If you’re only paying for what you hit on retail, given 2 years time your collection must be pretty weak. I’m not saying to spend crazy money on resell but any serious collector has to pay over retail to build a nice collection
Those OW 5s are some of my favs hands down but I can't bring myself to pay what they are going for on the resale market after running thru my OG pair that I copped for retail
I don’t buy sneakers at resell, but the pair I regret buying was the KAWS blazer low I the team red colorway. I don’t really mind the shoe, it’s just a little busy and can look like a clown shoe at times. I also bought the dark marina blue Jordan 1 and it’s still sitting in the box DS. I thought I could sit on them for a while and they would have decent resell value, but I was sorely mistaken lol. Might just have to put them on feet if I can find a fit to wear with them.

I use to have this issue all the time then I started cutting back on how many i bought as well as selling my collection. I love sneakers more than alot of things but at the end of the day they just sit and collect dust. I love money more so i sold all 98 pairs and restarted. Now I set a max of 10 pairs so when I get to 11 i just sell 1 or 2 and get some new ones in the rotation. Ive never been happier
98 is a crazy number and so much money. Only someone with money or maybe if you collected them over ten years I can see them affording it. That’s crazy but congrats you are able to have such a high amount of shoes.
Nike air force supreme in the wheat colorway,, thought they were cool but not my style,, worst part is supreme sent them to me in a replacement nike box for whatever reason and now I can't even sell them with everything OG because they are missing the OG box

My most regretted sneaker was the 2 pairs of yeezy 500s I bought and, unsurprisingly, sold at a loss. I went TTS on the first pair, then a half size up on the second they still felt too snug. Not to mention it's honestly just not a wearable shoe above a size 10 and I probably would have never worn my 12.5 bone whites regardless. My 350s however, I simply couldn't live without. The comfort and simplicity of the V2s more than makes up for their arguably gaudy, somewhat dated design.

My recent regret is the NoTwoWays Lacuna. I don’t regret the shoe it self but the size I bought. Sized up not knowing their sizing when I needed to go down. Way to big which is a shame because the shoes are dope looking.
i bought off white presto's in black for 1.2k€, when virgil passed, with the same thought you had. now they are back to 750-800€ish and i also had the jordan 1 black patent, even doubled up on them, thinking i might wear them to special occasions, at the end i sold them for 40€ loss each.

I bought a pair of Simpson vans when they first came out I had 2 but sold one but the pair I currently own I just don’t like I have the slip ons with everyone on them and I just don’t like wearing them mainly because I don’t like vans shoes like that and they just don’t fit what I wear

I would suggest you buy some crease protectors if a crease makes you buy another pair of shoes.

Black metallic gold is fire if you wear them right. But ya they are not for daily wear and is a bit stiffer than normal

I sold my Alien 2 380s I wish I’d kept them, I just wasn’t wearing them but I sold them on for the cash but I miss the look of them.
