Glad we could show you inside some of these stunning boats, and you’re right that some of the prices are eye wateringly high now! We are glad we managed to get a foot on the narrowboat ladder before the prices went crazy! 😊
I took my time to thoroughly enjoy so many gorgeous boats! Each more spectacular than the last. Well done and thank you for the herculean effort. The flamingo shower. The full bathtub. The variety of placements of appliances. Did I correctly note that not one boat used an incineration toilet? Wow, wow, wow! Leigh
Glad you enjoyed it Leigh! It was a bit of a mammoth task but we know how much we enjoy watching boat tours ourselves, especially when we were planning our own boat, so it’s our chance to give back. So many wonderful features, which always get us thinking about our next boat, if there ever is a next boat! That flamingo was great wasn’t it! It’s so good to see so many different designs, layouts, storage ideas and the like. The new Russell boat (our boatbuilder) Enchantress has a Cinderella incinerator toilet. I think k that was the only one. Enchantress is the first tour in the video 👍😊
What an amazing vlog and how many beautiful boats were there at Crick. Love how different they all are. You deserve an award for all that editing, superb job 👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thanks so much 😊. Knowing how obsessed we were with watching boat tours when we were planning our boat, it’s our chance to give back! So happy we could feature your beautiful Lerryn! Looking forward to seeing you out of the cut soon 😊
What a brilliant video to wake up to and watch whilst I had my breakfast - the perfect start to the day - thank you for taking the time to properly review all of the vessels and to Pete for acting as the props man looking into all the nooks and crannies. Cheers Swanny
Glad you enjoyed it Swanny! We know how useful boat tours were for us when we were planning our boat from afar, so it’s our chance to give back! And isn’t Pete the perfect door opener 😂
Excellent coverage, that showed what you can get for money, what you can achieve, and take away a lot of ideas, from a plethora of different designs on all levels.
Much appreciated! When we were looking for a boat and our preferred layout we were quite obsessed with finding boat tours on RUclips, so it's my chance to give back to others that love looking inside lots of boats 😊
Oh my, we’re spoiled for choice here. You do need a very healthy budget but great to see the variety in design etc. Not sure if i would want to make the beds in the bow, what a backbreaking task to change the bedding there, i think i prefer a crossbed. This vlog will give us hours more fun for future references, lol. Thank you, guys!❤❤❤❤
Glad you enjoyed it Eric! We know how useful boat tour videos were for us when we were trying to plan our boat from afar, and it’s our chance to give back now! We love our king size cross bed, and sort of like the idea of the bed in the bow, but would have to figure out a way of making the bed! It’s solves the problem of one of us having to climb over the other one I guess 😊
All the lovely, lovely boats. Some things I loved and some things I would definitely pass on but everything is worth considering. When everyone is trying to stand out from the crowd is when you get the great ideas. Great video. ❤
It was great to see Ethan again 😊 Seems to me forward fixed double beds, some without access to the welldeck seem very popular. It was great to see some original innovative ideas form the different builders, these will trickle to the next years models, I love how narrow boats are evolving. Thanks for another great Vlog, this one was something special - 5⭐'s
Thanks so much Gordon! We know how much we valued the online boat tours when we were planning our boat from afar, and it’s our chance to give back! We said the same about the bed in the bow being the thing at this year’s show. We quite like the idea of not having to climb over anyone, but not sure if we would like to lose the well deck space. There’s always some sort of compromise with any choice! 😊
It seems that Victron solar gear is the industry standard for narrow boats.. I've just put all Victron gear into our new caravan.. no regrets, it's great stuff!
Hi there American here just discovered these awesome boats just wondering if there are any travel or canal restrictions for the boats that are 12 ft wide?
Glad you found us, and welcome aboard! The canal network across the country is different, with some wide and some narrow stretches often depending on who the building company were back in the 1800s when they originated and their specific uses. Here’s a great summary of widebeam versus narrowboat together with a map showing which canals and rivers are accessible in a boat wider than the standard 6ft 10 narrowboat www.lakelandleisureboatsales.co.uk/blog/widebeam-vs-narrowboat-a-summary. Thanks for watching
Hi Graham, for heating we have our multifuel stove (coal or wood) and central heating radiators via a diesel Ebersbacher. We rarely use the central heating as we get plenty of heat from the stove which we keep lit all winter. For cooling we bought an evaporative cooler from TotalCool. (totalcool.co.uk/shop/activity/portable-12-volt/12-volt-portable-air-coolers/totalcool-3000-white-grey/?_gl=1*14lk9qi*_up*MQ..). On really hot days we close the blinds and insert bungs in our portholes, that does help a lot. Hope that helps? 😊♥️
@@onedaymoreaboard thanks for the info Pete - we’re considering all the options for our build - like the idea of the TotalCool portable - bit cheaper than having mains aircon…….
Yes they do make diesel electric hybrids… these are the “parallel hybrid” boats, typically Beta engines with a large close coupled motor/generator. We noticed Canaline have also brought a similar unit to market this year too. 😊♥️
Not sure what you mean about not wanting the experience? Surely anyone who owns or rents a narrowboat is having a narrowboat experience? Thanks for watching 😊
Thanks for taking the trouble to put together this video just showing us the boats. They all look wonderful - each in their own way.
So glad you enjoyed it! We said the same, so many wonderful ideas 😊
Wonderful vlog for those who didn't go to crick. Great your putting the price of them too. The prices are serious money in many cases
Glad we could show you inside some of these stunning boats, and you’re right that some of the prices are eye wateringly high now! We are glad we managed to get a foot on the narrowboat ladder before the prices went crazy! 😊
And yes pete is just the perfect door opener😂

I know there are so many people just like us that love have a nosey around so many boats! Exciting times for you 😊

Oh if you could just take this bit from one and that bit from another. The bath and cottage was so wonderful! Thank you for the video. Well done!
Oh we have said exactly the same Lisa! Infact the owners of Enchantress did exactly that to come up with their layout! Thanks for watching 😊
Thanks for the videos.
You’re so welcome Mike! Thanks for watching 😊
Amazing review of the boats!!
Many thanks! Some stunners weren't there 😊
Great viewing thanks
You’re so welcome, thanks for watching 😊
Lerryn was lovely 😊 super swish
Oh we loved Lerryn too! If there was ever another boat in our future we would use their bedroom design 😊
All the boats! That last one was amazing but the price!! Thanks so much!
Yes we said the same Justine! You certainly get what you pay for 😊

Lovely Vlog showing us all the boats thanks. Did not see an Oakums Boat this year, was Laim not at the show this year?

Do they make hybrid narrow boats? Electric/ diesel? Should have waited to ask this, another beautiful boat.
Yes they do make diesel electric hybrids… these are the “parallel hybrid” boats, typically Beta engines with a large close coupled motor/generator. We noticed Canaline have also brought a similar unit to market this year too. 😊♥️
