Which will be faster? Elantra N vs GR Corolla at Weathertech Raceway Laguna Seca

Although I was about a second slower in my GRC in this video I most likely will be faster once I get more seat time in it. GRC's gear ratio and AWD driving characteristics threw me off a bit.
Both cars are super fun to drive on the track and I can't wait to take them out to the track more often!

Looks to me like the Elantra is a willing dance partner to rotate, much more than the GRC.

GRC had tons of grip and the rear never let go but it did have some understeer tho.

@@elantran managing oversteer (to an extent) is more fun than managing understeer hehe.

@nodrogkam The stock EN is surprisingly tail happy. Luckily the e-lsd is magical and can pull you out of some serious oversteer

Glad you are posting videos again and with your new GR. Love the split screen showing both cars at the same moment on track. Did you get the Core version with the Performance Package or the Circuit Edition? Also, how much over MSRP did they charge you? Are you going to Rally the GR? Having a great rally car (GR) and track car (N) is pretty sweet. How did you transport both to the track? Sorry for all the questions.

EN with the disadvantage (tires and pavement), but is still victorious. I never drove the old pavement, but seems like everyone is breaking records on the repave.
I really liked the 660s, but RE71s are definitely a faster tire
