I just started doing solo dates and watching you is definitely helping , although I do still get anxiety a little, i started going to sit down to eat in little places like cava or chipotle, haven’t done big restaurants yet!
I like going shopping alone or trying new food spots by myself. The options can be so overwhelming sometimes and I find it much more enjoyable when I can take my time and figure out what I like without worrying about how that might affect someone who’s with me🙃

Being socially awkward and having social anxiety is so real. That is me on a daily basis. I can't function when I'm around a lot of people it's bad.

Literally you and me are the same when it comes to doing stuff alone. Like I can do it but it takes some time to do it 🥲. I’m planning to actually take a solo birthday trip to New York in July and this video is definitely a sign that I’m not alone in the feeling of doing stuff alone. Ugh I appreciate you posting this so much, so relatable 😭💗
You and marvel movies alone is me and art galleries alone. I CAN go to galleries with others but it hits completely different by myself. Get dressed up and be beautiful while looking at some beautiful work and romanticizing my existence 😌😌😌

Also! When going to parties or like networking events by yourself, it is definitely daunting. I would recommend of course knowing as much as you can going in, and IMMEDIATELY just going up to someone that looks kind and safe and start talking. Be honest with them like “hey, this is my first time here. Mind if I hang with you?” It’s awkward and scary, yes, but it really takes some of the edge off.
This is such great advice!!! I do the same thing! If I’m going to the movies, a basketball game, a cafe, etc. by myself, I look up parking, what I am going to order, but my tickets in advance, everything. The key to successfully going out alone is to remove any factor that will cause disruption and/or anxiety!! And live your best life!

gurlllll the momment you said the text back rant i literally screamed cuz this is MEEE! my brain isnt wired for txts so as i gre older i realised i require phone calls/facetime as it wont be something i can avoid, i struggle to date also cuz i'm not a texter and guys loose interest quick BUTTTTT you will find men who also hate it and also prefer different modes of communication. its not something i could changeover night but i've gotten better like setting reminders to reply to text a couple times a day etc...
