Maybe I am overprotective but my child would not be allowed to wonder ahead or lag behind me anywhere I go. People are too lax.
My daughter is almost nine and I still keep eyes on her any time we’re out in the wilderness.
Well said,I live in New Zealand and it's pretty safe here.. But I get angry when I said young children walking footpaths and around town with no adults..anything could happen!!!
Ditto
People are very different today than we were 30 or 40 years ago when we were kids or teenagers…
I'm the same way with my kids that's why I believe that maybe his father had something to do with him "disappearing"...
I told my kitty Steve said hi! She purred! 😊
Just your nice voice that made him purr 😻😊
Poor derricks family. Looking for him alone as husband and wife for years after. Relationships broken. The guilt you would carry. And anger toward everyone else. Such a sad story ;(
It’s so sweet hearing Steve’s voice again! I couldn’t find him for a while!!
The depth of Crater Lake gives me the heebie jeebies! 😱 It’s really sad about the breakdown of relationship between that boy’s father and grandfather. These tragedies are so compounded when they happen.
1000 ft. deep 😬
Poor bastards.. can you imagine being the adult that allowed these nippers to run off.. you'd never recover from that guilt
IT MUST BE QUITE A FREAK OUT!!!
Not to mention, the quilt😢
@@michelleduplooymalherbe2837 Mountain lions stalk and kill children and shorter women as well. They drag the bodies to the bush afterwards.
So glad to hear your voice again!
This is my NEW and IMPROVED channel! Welcome Home!
I have a grandson in Nevada and another in Wyoming. I have never been out west so it's now top of my bucket list. But you bet your sweet self that I'm gonna be prepared and not alone. I've learned plenty on here so thank you so much Steve ❤❤
Good for you and have a happy and safe journey. Remember to always have a backup for anything critical.
@@badwolf7367 I sure will 😀 Thank you!! I've met such kind people on here !! But I'm not naive, the world is a scary place!
Seriously this channel is AMAZING!! I’ve watched almost every creepy stories channels every episode!! I watch them to fall asleep but the voice of the teller makes or breaks a story for me. I can’t do those automated voices drives me crazy lol your voice is absolutely incredible 👏
If it's in the voice for you, you are going to love this channel!!! ❤
Very good point I can't listen to the channels that sound like robots lol
Needs the creepy music in the background, though. 😉
Crater lake is absolutely amazing to visit if you're ever in the area, but staring down into the deep blue gives you such a mysterious feeling. The drive can be treacherous just getting there depending on the time of year, and somewhat terrifying at night.
Can you camp there ?
Oooo I have never been there at night I bet the vibe is extremely creepy. Also be sure to stop at Becky's their food is amazing :)
Crater Lake is incredibly beautiful. And a bit haunted, cursed, etc.
Yes, it's so beautiful there. 🥹😍
Have you ever noticed how beauty and trouble seem to go together?
I visited Crater Lake 25 years ago. I was alone. I thought it was incredibly beautiful, but creepy. Normally I love staring out over water for hours, but I couldn't wait get away from there. I found it a very unsettling place.
@@scallopohare9431 You mean wilderness and trouble.
@@RideAcrossTheRiver I'm okay with both sets!
In the late 1970's I I enjoyed a friendship with a woman who's Mother was a Native American. My friend, (I'll call her Sue), grew up traveling up and down the west coast, with her Mother and a group of other Native Americans, harvesting whatever produce was in season, This would have probably been in the 1940's, give or take. When she was in her early teens, a man, who was living with her Mother, molested Sue, and beat her badly. Sue crawled to a near by cabin, where they took her in and took care of her. When she returned to her Mother, the man was gone and he was never mentioned. A few weeks later a police officer arrived at the cabin and spoke with Sue's Mother, telling her that the man's car had been found at, near by, Crater Lake. Her Mother maintained that she didn't know anything. That he had left one night and never returned. When the harvest was finished, in that area, they moved to the next. But, the last night they were there, Sue's Mother went outside, and Sue peeked out of the window and watched her Mother retrieve a gun, from under the near by wood pile. Years later, when her Mother died, a close friend told Sue that, "her Mother had taken a terrible secret to the grave with her, because, Crater Lake, never gives up her dead." Take this for whatever it's worth, but, she didn't have any reason to make this up. Because of this story, Crater Lake, gives me the chills. I enjoy your channel, take care and God bless.
*Salute mom!*
That's what a mother does when her child is assaulted!! I would easily do the same for my son!! The police are useless and I'm not putting my child through a trial where everyone now knows your business and there's always someone who will call your child a liar!! Nope, not right, not right at all!! Anyone who hurts a child in any way shape or form does not get to pass go or spend time in a cozy cell with meals included like their at a resort... Nope, not right in my opinion!!
@@LTJC70 I totally agree, Tara. They did not come big enough nor bad enough to touch one of mine. I think that with some of us Mother's, God sprinkled in a touch of Momma grizzly bear DNA.
I really hope Sues mom did what we assume, that man deserved nothing less. Women are tougher than what they're given credit for, a lot of us would do well to remember that (us men that is 😅)
HERE YOU ARE!!!!❤ I wondered what had happened to you! I am glad you're still with us!
Greetings, Leutia! Welcome Home! This is my NEW and IMPROVED channel! Let's walk and see...
@@TalesUntoldYT You have helped me so much with your work on your channel. I love ya! Let's walk :)
I think my dog thinks you’re a friend of mine who he knows, because I always tell him Steve said hi and he gets excited
Tell him hi! I'm a friend to all animals!
Crater Lake is an amazing place. I've only driven near it, but it's kinda frightening
Curious, how?
It’s absolutely gorgeous! No picture can ever do it justice. The light that filters through the surrounding forests gives a lot of ppl heebie jeebies.
THERE'S STEVE! 😀 Glad I found you! I've been wondering why I hadn't heard you on MPM lately. I was hoping you hadn't become a missing 411 victim. Happy to hear your voice again. 😁👍
Welcome Home! This is my NEW and IMPROVED channel!
Steve why did you leave the other channel? We had a tough time finding you again. Now we are enjoying both channels. Take care.
no doubt an argument over money
Both haven’t said but the other channel said they “couldn’t “ talk about it yet so I’d imagine there’s some kind of battle or maybe talks on some sort of settlement going on between them. We may never know. I’m just glad I found Steve again!
There’s a video called “Elephant in the room” on Steve’s 13 Past Midnight channel that explains
@@Midnight_Society is the video still up? I'm struggling to find it.
OMG I found you Steve. I've been going crazy trying to find your new channel. Thank God. Your voice literally calms me..
This is my NEW and IMPROVED channel! Welcome Home!
It sure is good to hear your voice again.
To reiterate the prior comment I left on this video, those who experience autism are typically not terrified of sound but instead have a repulsion to particular sounds, ie that of abrasive sounds versus rounder tones and harmonies, softer noises. This is because the sound can, due to hypersensitivity, actually cause physical pain within the individual, to the extent where it can render them immobilized until the sound goes away. The individual themselves may have a differing level of tolerance depending on the sound and volume but other circumstances such as mood and energy levels can also impact the tangible levels of neurological sensitization.
Why blame search and rescue. Parents are responsible for their children.
gosh it's good to hear your voice again, Steve. Glad I found you :)
Thia ia my NEW and IMPROVED channel! Welcome Home!
I love hearing you!!!! I couldn't find you for a minute. But here you are. Thank you !!!!!!
Thank you, Steve! I really enjoyed listening to you. It was a true pleasure.
THANK YOU, ROBIN!
SO VERY GLAD to hear your voice again Steve. ❤️
I live in Roseburg and have visited Crater Lake several times even hiking once to the waters below (it was beautiful but not a fan of the treck back up. Thank you for giving me something to think about whenever I visit again. 😳😎
So glad I found you again
Loved all the information in the first few minutes! What a fascinating place!
I’d love to hear some West Virginia tales and/or disappearances. Much love!

Hi from Scotland! How about some Scottish stories ?
So glad I found you again Steve! Love your vids
Steve!!! We found you again.
Yes indeed! Welcome Home!
Glad you are back Steve, I seriously can't listen to anyone else narrating.
What happened to that last channel? Found both the ppl and see they have diff solo channels.
Totally awesome to hear from you!!
Hey, thanks!
Such a beautiful area, and one of my favorite places. One interesting note I made some years ago. A Mr. Devore a tall skinny lanky dude, carried more outdoor gear than any human being that I have ever seen carry on their back. Equal to a Pack Mule. On his way to Crater Lake to Play Guitar. I guess that can be considered not strange or unusual. He said, The acoustics were perfect.
I decided to accompany him on Harmonica.
He was right, the acoustics are perfect.
After any evening if playing Rodger Dodger,
Which is the name given to the well known and well respected Yard Bull Security Officer for the K.Falls Freight Yard. Caught out on the Freight into Redding. As for Mr. Devore he lives somewhere near Medford.
Always have had a wonderful time there.
Oh, one more thing, stay away from my Mine!.
As many others have stated, really happy to have found this new channel with you Steve. I love your voice and the stories you tell. I’ve missed you so!
I enjoy your narrations. Thankyou
God bless you Steve and I'm glad to see that your still posting videos.! Keep up your Great Works .👍 ❤🎉
Good podcast. I’m impressed with the way you explained everything.
Always remember too say I love you too the ones you care about before you go off hiking or just out.. ❤
I've been to Crater Lake as a child and an adult. It is an amazing place but I did feel creeped out there when I visited as an adult.
Well done Steve!
I’m so happy I found you again❣️ I love your voice…and I’ve missed it.
Steve, I’m so glad I found your channel! I love your videos, and your narration is incredibly soothing. Thanks for creating this great little corner of the internet! ❤
Steve!!! Where you been? I miss you.
I found Steve and I am sooo happy!!!! 🎉❤
Hi midnight society! Hopefully you are doing well. Judy😊
Hi Judy!! I am doing great and hope you are, too! Thank you! 💕
Thank you Jesus .. “I found ya Steve!” I thought I’d lost ya forever after the other channel suddenly began narrating their stories by someone not you.. .. soo good to hear from ya again.. subbed n notified .. welcome home Steve , welcome home.. DB Ohio
It must be so horrible for the parents who lost their child.. i lost my daughter once but i found her after 30 minutes again.. i will never forget this 30 minutes again and everytime when we do something i remember it again and i am afraid that this happens again
Thank you for very informative and interesting video. I love your channel. Thanks for getting missing persons names out of the media. Great job. I’m glad I found you ❤❤❤❤❤
The difference between a horse and a mule is horse sense. The horse has none and relies on its rider to think for him. The mule will not carry a load too heavy for him, nor go in an area that is unsafe. He will balk. The smart man uses a mule or burro in rough land and pays attention to what the critter tells him. [student to student data]
You really do know your stuff , I love listening to this channel but I miss you on missing persons mysteries . Love from Scotland 💙🏴
Oregon native here as well. I absolutely love Crater Lake. I've been there a total of about 5 times and I'm likely going to visit it many times in the future.
What do they charge to get into the park now days? Last time I was there was over 50 years ago. Took the zig zag trail down to the boat docks. That trail was like a mile going down and the equivalent of 13 miles coming back up.
Such a beautiful place ❤
What a great video Steve. So happy to be a member of your great channel
Glad lao and skal have been getting along soo well 😂
I haven’t been up there in years, even though I grew up in the Rogue Valley, right near Crater Lake. Seems like everytime I’d go up there I’d break a bone somehow!! I know that the snow can be sooo deep and the lake itself is terrifyingly deep. I never knew all the stories of the lake and people missing, but there is an eerie feeling when you’re up there.
It is, indeed! Thanks for listening!
Great stories Steve and My Frankie G says hello back at you
What i think is; “Awesome”!!!!
Thank, Sky King!
In the 1990s a tour helicopter crashed in Crater lake. I don't believe there any fatalities but the helicopter was never recovered. in that depth, it's a hell of a time capsule in a couple thousand years
Happy to have found your channel. Have missed hearing your story narrations!
Thank you for all you do I replay crew a lot but I love the content
I just recently came across your Channel. It is AMAZING! It seems like every episode I watch they get better. Much Love from, Kentucky. Thanks again for the videos.
I just discovered this channel & i love it 🥰
Welcome Home!
Good job! Like your narration lots
Very professional, interesting and informative presentation. Complete story lines, well written and well delivered. Including the grisly fates of the obvious suspects was a really nice touch.
The trouble with all the scenic beauty is that it makes a person forget they are alone out in a wilderness away from the protection afforded by society by being near other people. And because it is outside the protection of society, it also attracts criminals and evildoers because it is far easier to commit a crime out in the wilderness and not be caught than a place with lots of people. In my experience, it isn't the 4 legged animals in the forest you have to be wary of, it is the 2 legged ones that look just like you and me.

Wow this was great Steve and beautiful pictures! Thank you for sharing information about your book I definitely going to get a copy. ❤ 😊 Books 📚

Love you content Steve! Keep up the good work!
Thank you for listening!
so glad I found you again
Absolutely love this channel, but it's sad at the same time. I have to say nature is beautiful and dangerous all at the same time. Thanks for sharing these true stories with us and keep them coming! Until the next time cheers!
Glad to have found you again! I was worried they had disappeared you.
What happened to the old channel?
All the bids and libertarians gone. Now only videos with a new narrator.
Awe! We have our name in lights 😂 ❤ thank you Sandy and Steve
I was surprised too
@@FastHemi very classy touch 👍
@@greywolf-lindsay As always
Do you also do the Appalachia trail videos??you have the perfect voice for these videos!
There is an Appalachian trail video. Very good . Check it out.
Broken Shin Bone is pretty difficult but lower leg fractures are not uncommon in a Snow covered wooded environment. But 2 broken Shin Bones is usually only seen in a fall from hight accompanied by other leg and joint fractures and injury. I don't see how someone could break both shins without a elevated fall where other leg injuries would be present. Especially in a bog covered by over 8 ft of Snow.
Someone broke those shins. That someone knows what happened to the rest of him.
The Crater Lake Monster 🦕 is an atmospheric movie. Unfortunately they couldn't film it at Creater Lake
Creepy, thank you!
I'm so excited, brother, to hear that the LDS and JW churches r going to be awoken!! I'm an ex jw, now born again believer Amen!! I have family and in laws in that religion , as well as lds! Praise GOD, HE IS SO MERCIFUL!! HALLELUJAH!!!
This was a good one! Thanks for the upload. I've never bern there before but Crater lake seems very pretty (photos).

Not a place to be in Winter,,goodness gracious 500 inches of snow,,this crater looks eerie
