You omitted the need for stropping. That’s not the consensus. Paper sharp is not razor sharp . I think that if you say knife sharpness is critical for success then test the knife on its ability to shave hair

Wettting a diamond block is not recommended by manufacturers. Corrosion in metal holding diamonds

Both razor and paper sharp are more than adequate for grafting purposes.
Need to sharpen some nail clippers too bud
