This is proof to the industry that Bobby Lee has serious talent.
This as well as out of love it's another short on RUclips with Bobby if you enjoyed this you'll enjoy that one he's so fucking good as an actor.
The Slept on King.
@@Zarzavane I’ve seen it as well! Very good!!
I concur
Always has been
Man Bobby’s scene where he starts laughing and instantly switches it up was so fantastic. My only complaint in such a great short film was they should’ve casted Santino as Bobby’s mom
🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂
I just died! 😂
Someone will edit it in 😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Genuinely cried. A good cry. Made me realize how much unprocessed grief I hold--for those I've lost, those still here, and for myself, knowing that death comes for us all.
we gon be alright mane
This 15 minutes felt like a whole film and I mean that in the most complimentary way possible. Had the depths of any movie at a fraction of the time
Not only that, at the end when Bobby starts crying, he almost made me cry with how realistic the story and his cry were... And people said he can't do cry acting.. Ludicrous
Badger as Death is the most left field casting of the year, well done
Hahahahaha exactly! I only first recognized him through his voice, it's so him that it cant be missed.
He's looking great as well!
You mean Badger of Death Inc. xD
I was literally about to type these exact words
ohh i was trying to figure out where i knew him from
“so this is what it feels like… being alive.” going from despair, to delight, to despair, and delight again and again, is being alive, being human, finding joy in the sunrise and childhood ramen during the darkest night. ahhh ❤
The attachment to life not knowing the afterlife is a never ending dance party
While I ate Ramen, one thousand calories per day, for three months, I found God.
@@PrescientHope😂😂😂
that was so on point. well said
I'm just in dispair what does that make me?
I don't know why it took me so long to finally watch this, I'm sorry it did. Bobby should be so proud of this project. The ending caught me off guard as well as the message behind it. Simply amazing Bobby
Same. I was just waiting for the moment to feel right and I'm very glad I finally watched it. Incredible. I need more asap
So did he make it to heaven or something? I don’t fully understand it
a form of afterlife it seems, yeah@@markbisson6166
What is the message, please?
@@Tito_The_Alien “don’t count your chickens before they hatch.” Or maybe it was “dont put all your eggs in one basket.” It was definitely something chicken-related.
I need this as a whole series on Netflix as an anthology, where each episode is something different. I haven’t watched something this unorthodox in a long while, it gave me that feeling of existential melancholy I love so much. Fantastic work Mr Ji 👏🏾
How amazing of a show would that be. Each episode for someone different that dies and each episode with a strong message
@@koovvvI agree!
Like a moody short with bony lee as a different character each episode or different people with death?
Tf is bony lee
Right? Destroyed me and brought me right back up… I do like that Bobby Lee.
To be able to get this kind of performance out of Bobby is incredible. You really took him to that dark place. Beautiful work. The whole cast deserves their praises.
He IS dark. In his honest moments on Bad Friends and Tigerbelly we see this side of him, but like many dark artists, comedy hides & protects the soft underbelly. I was so happy to see him cast like this
@@abbyz13 Of course but that doesn't mean that's who you get when they're acting. It takes a fantastic director to get these kinds of performances out of actors.
Bobby is cool and all but come on. The line reading/performance was not very good. Fun watch though. Reaper is good actor
I’m not that impressed. Sorry
Performance? They just told Bobby hey we are coming over with a camera and a friend.
Bobby Lee needs more credit for his acting... This was phenomenal ❤
Bro have you seen out of love with Bobby? It's a short check it out trust me he fucking crushes it so good dude.

This moved me in a way that not many things can. Depression has had me in a vice grip since a very early age. I've only recently gotten to a place where I'm not obsessing over death. For years, not a day passed that I didn't think about ending my life. I just never could muster up the courage to do it. The closest I got were the nights I tested my limits with opiates and alcohol, but never quite crossed that line. Thank you for this, Tiger Ji and crew. The world is a little less lonely when you realize others relate so strongly. We love you, Bobby. You did great.
For those of you having similar experiences, I hope you find a way to care about/for yourself. Even if we are depressed, we can still bring love, joy, and a helping hand to others. I like to think that's worth sticking around for.
Man, this is so eye opening. I feel like the industry never let Bobby get an actual shot at getting a serious role and was always typecast as the "goofy asian guy", he's even talked about this in his podcasts. This shows how legitimately talented he is and I hope he gets more opportunities in the future to play characters that he wants to actually play because Bobby deserves the best!!
I hope Bobby reads these comments and realises how much we all back for him to have a massive movie career, he deserves every bit of success and recognition after such an amazing performance. Thank you @tigerji ❤
i totally agree its hard being a prolific little asian in a white world yet here he is captivating the soul with a bit of his wit. sometimes he can gett a bit nutty but hes going to therapy so lets just hope he doesnt end up with a handler or like britney or sumthing crazy like what they do to ppl tht would not be cool either. much love great piece
The delivery is there but the facial expressions aren't. His acting is good enough but not great.
Bobby's charm are his facial expressions as they are, anything else and it is fake.
@@JohnDoe-fq2sr What the fuck... YOU clearly need therapy.
Hopefully bobby reads my middle finger correctly
I have literally been waiting for this for like at least a year. Bravo to all involved, this feels special.

Like literally!
For Bobby Lee to be so well known as a comedian, he is completely underrated as an actor and storyteller. It seems like his short films are different iterations of himself- different versions of himself in alternate universes with enough tragedy to break one's spirit but enough love and hope to make it all worth it.
This was a great short film. Bobby, please continue acting, your fans want to see it. And Tiger Ji, thank you for making this wonderful piece of art, and thanks to you or whoever’s choice it was to cast Bobby in this.
NOTHING would make me happier than to start seeing Bobby in movies. Dude’s talented and deserves it💯

I wish they made this a tv series.. I didn’t want it to end. fantastic performance by both 👏🏽👏🏽
Matt Jones would be perfect for a comedy tv series involving what it would be like being a new reaper
it really pulled at my heartstrings when he kneeled down next to his mother and she said "I'm bobby mudda"
Wow. I'm a diehard Bobby fan and this makes me love him even more. I was not expecting to cry, but here I am. What a powerful and beautifully done short film. Props to everyone involved!
lol its so weird your generation is so weird to hear another man, say they are a "die hard fan" of some other man lol.. such a trip
@@user-zv3iy4zo4p 👍🏼
Agreed, these younger millennials and gen z'ers are complete pusses. So many are like "I cried" watching this short flick. I remember laughing my ass off to him all the time on Mad TV, and I laughed my ass off during this too, not even close to crying. These youngsters need to lay off the soy lattes, tofu, and soybean oil in everything, and do some exercise or manual labor and finally sprout a pair lol.

Really was not expecting to tear up going into this. Bobby talking to his mom about memories then saying goodbye really got to me. Awesome film Bobby!
Same.
I imagined Bobby farting during that part
Him hugging death got me.
Same reaction. Was suprised to get choked up.
I lost my dad in April. One of the biggest regrets I have is not salvaging the relationship with him sooner. I wish I had forgiven him for his anger when I was younger but I didn’t until it was too late and he was already on his death bed. This short film captured the exact moment I had with my father before he passed. I wish he could have seen this. Thank you, thank you so much for capturing this kind of emotion. I cried so hard and hope this helps people in a similar situation. Beautiful short film, thank you to everyone involved.
I couldn't get through the first few lines without crying like a total. Yee. Love you homie that stuff sucks because I wanna say the least. But lost my Dad around the same time. Have a good day my Dawg.
I lost my dad too, but your pain is its own and no one could ever claim it. I hope you know that these energies go beyond what we understand, and what you feel will be pushed outward to this universe and maybe it’ll get to touch the particles of your dad. I hope you find peace
So you had kimchi ramen with ur dad?

This is a master piece. Not just because we’ve been fans of Bobby since we were young, and have wanted to see him taken seriously as an actor, but because it takes you through all the emotions in such a short amount of time. . I can watch it over and over and it still checks all the boxes. This is perfection
Man just found this short and i just want to say the music is....amazing. It's haunting, happy, sad all combined together in an up-beat tempo + synth.
Bobby Lee did amazingly as well as Matt being such a bro Death that only wants to comfort him and make sure he leaves with no regrets.
such a unique piece of work, i love how it has a sort of humor to it while keeping a serious tone the whole time, i’ll stand by saying bobby is one of the most underrated yet talented person doing this kind of stuff, definitely could watch a lot more of this
even death will remember you. Promise.
This was amazing. Seeing Bobby play this role really took me by surprise. I never knew Bobby could get in character with such a serious role. Great work guys
Oh wow , really took you by surprise, please tell us more
Are you going to reveal more as vinny2555332 requested?
Bobby is almost never serious. Plain and simple. So I didn’t think he’d execute this role as well as he did. His acting gave it so much quality.
You should see the other short film he’s in! It’s called “out of love”
terry pratchett meets quentin tarantino.. greatest short film I have seen in the last 2 decades. well done.
How Bobby wasn’t cast in BEEF is always going to be beyond me. He’s an excellent actor.
He unfortunately relapsed at the time and checked himself in otherwise the part was directly for him initially.
@@lou-AI I didn’t know that !

This is really beautiful. Have been a Bobby Lee fan for a long time, was excited to check this out since first hearing about it. Congrats to all involved for such a great piece of art! I was moved and didn't expect to choke up like I did at the end.
Wait where'd you hear about it?
I had tears in my eyes at the end and wasn't sure why. Powerful.
@@Ilovetheskunk Bobby mentioned he was working on this project a long while back. Don't remember which pod tbh.
I absolutely love Bobby Lee's acting in this film; it is phenomenal!!
Round of applause for Bobby Lee for being who he is and doing what he does so transparently. Respect.
I've been living with a grade IV GBM in my brain for four years now. It was supposed to have killed me before the end of or by the end of 2020. It's essentially a death sentence, no matter what though. It's only a matter of when it starts to spread again, at this point. Movies like this really help to cope with death, reminding me that it's nothing personal, it's something we all experience, and that I should be grateful for every extra second, minute, hour, day, week, month, and year of life 've managed to steal. I love both actors, but I had no idea Bobby Lee could be so great at dramatic acting. Thank you, Tiger Ji. This is divine.
Hope you’re feeling good today, and tomorrow!!
you are so loved thanks for sharing glad ur still a live
Blessings on your journey. Thank you for your words.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us. Makes me feel like it's all going to be okay

Incredible. I have always been a Bobby Lee fan, but this might be my favorite thing he’s ever done. I felt his emotion in my soul. Matt jones always delivers. They had amazing chemistry together
Chemistry. I see what you did there
The fact that death took him to a rave as his resting place seems… iconically appropriate for any person.
To dance, eternally, into the night with other strangers… ❤️🔥 Truly a unique ending I didn’t expect. Well done, cast and crew! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Too often, people have to die or be near death in order to appreciate the preciousness and fullness of life. This film really portrays the essence of this theme. Bravo!!!
This was beautiful and ... dark, funny....and a bit haunting, it hit every note. Amazing acting from all three characters. I've wanted to see this for a while now. Bobby Lee is under rated as an actor. Very good.

Rewatching this for I don’t know what time as it inspired me to write my own short film on how we interpret Death. Bobby and Matt play these roles so well it’s like watching poetry in motion. This is so unbelievable and I can’t wait to finish writing, shooting, editing, and put out my own short film inspired by this
This shit hit me hard. I lost both my parents within months. Feeding my mom caring for her like she was an infant was brutal because she was such a beast in life. I feel death is knocking on my door….

I love the transition into Timmy's afterlife, dancing with Death to dancing with the dead, doing something that makes him happy/present but no longer alone. He's with other people that do the same thing to make themselves happy. Hell is other people AND heaven is other people.
Bobby kills it again! He really excels at these type of weird off center shorts. The chemistry between Bobby and Matt just fits too. Well done all around.
This is the best I've ever seen of Bobby... This is amazing...😢
Amazing!!!!!!! This needs to be a full movie!!!
Had me tearing up a bit 😢
That was really beautiful, Bobby is such a good actor, and as a tigerbelly/bad friends fan, i could see the honesty in his acting. GIVE THIS MAN A LEADING ROLE, NOSOTROS PAPAYA
I’m just taken back by how well this is was done. Bobby really did a few things that I was like “how is he this good” I mean honestly. I’ve never seen him play this type of role. Which I think speaks to him and maybe his connection to this short story. I’ve gone through some of the same things Bobby is going through and like the writing was like “damn that’s me”. That’s excellent writing. The cinematography was excellent good editing. The writing really was the winner. Shit made me cry.
They're being robbed on the views. Should have millions
It's the same w/ Adam Sandler. Comedy actors NEVER get taken seriously as people just sees them as the "Ha Ha Funny Guy."

I love that his afterlife was just dancing. I hope mine is.
Bobby needs more roles like this. He has proven himself time and time again.
I truly believe if Bobby dropped his need for humor and a laugh he could be an insanely good dramatic actor

This is where I write the most amazing commentary in the whole collection of comments on this short film. Are you ready for it? This was slightly more good than I thought it was going to be. I love kimchi so much. I love Bobby Lee and his raw humanity a little less and I love short ones on RUclips. Thank you for this devine break that made me feel sad like sometimes Bobby Lee feels in his personal life. And at the same time, he and his side-kick, Death, made me laugh and smile so hard. I do not relate to the suicidal tendancies the way this film does but I still got a lot out of it. The move down the streets up to the house and the window followed by the family sharing almost broke my heart. All of the moves were clearly non-negotiable and Death just worked with them. I liked that. OMG, I want kimchee now like I want to live! So good.
Bobby Lee has just became one of my favorite actors of all. Hes always been a comedic favorite, but damn. This had all kinds of emotions.
