Im always happy to see a fellow Canadian racing. I'd love to see him do more cup racing. He had a few good runs at Montreal and Road America driving for Penske years ago. It would be cool to see him in a half decent ride full time or at the very least be in reliable equipment for the road course races.

I’m Canadian as well & when i seen that Vellenuve would be in the 500 I was excited! DJ Kennington a few years back made back to back 500’s driving for the “Gaunt Bros” team in the #96 Toyota. With this new car & with Jacque Vellenuve being a road course pro i think the road courses that Nascar runs now & having added more road courses such as the Charlotte road course & i think the new Texas road course plus riverside road course in the Exfinity series but with this new car having much better braking which is 30-40% better I’ve heard & when Jacque drove the #22 Dodge Challenger in the Exfinity series for Roger Penske among other Exfinity & Cup rides, Jacque was very hard on brakes with really pushing the car under braking into the corners to pass people & was well known for losing his brakes near the end of races & lost a few races by losing his brakes & that comes from his “F1” & “Indy Car” days where you can obviously drive those cars very deep into the corners with the way better braking so I’d be super excited to see Vellenuve run a few road courses in the new cup car with the much better brakes among other improvements :-)

Villeneuve did very well, was concerned about him at the start considering he went a lap down early. He did impressing well and finished 22nd.

I'd love to see him race some more in Cup for sure. I'd really love to see him get a ride for the INDY 500 again after so many years. He's really a versatile driver.

He was in a modest car. Imagine if he was to drive for a top team. Congrats to him and his team just the same for a great effort .
