One thing I also like is how riding can be sometimes therapeutic. I’m in my head a whole lot and being on my bike forces me to get out of my head and be in the moment.
😆 "instantly sexier!" I love it! Getting through traffic is fantastic...WAY better than a car or truck. Gas...lasts 2 to 3 days/avrg 200kms = more stops but still cheaper in the long run.
I am loving the motorcycle life. I have a honda 300 cmx and just bought the Harley Davidson Nightster 975 last week. It is night and day between the bikes and driving a car or suv. I love the parking too. I agree the 300 has better gas mileage but the Nighter is not bad either. I look forward to driving every day and sometimes in the rain.
What you save in gas you spend way more on maintaining the bike... tires alone cost more as they don't last nearly as long as a car and in Wisconsin we don't lane split so putting gear on makes the car much faster... all that being said motorcycles are just awesome and way more fun.
@@davidbreen4353 it doesn't matter what tires you buy, how many miles can you put on car tires now compare to how many miles you get on motorcycle tires...
FOLKs I just found your MotoChannel today and wanted to WELCOME you to our RUclips Motorcycle Family :-) Look like your living & Tiding in Edmonton.? I'm watching from Calgary ;-)
Ooh darn :-( At least you are still in Canada. I didn't see any MotoVloggers making comments on your videos, I wanted to introduce you to all the eTown MotoChannels I know-of. ;-)
How tall are you? I would say the rebel 500 is the best choice if you plan on doing much highway riding. The 300 will do but the 500 will be much better on the highway.
@@jaypolo1967 Rebel 300 will definitely work 100%. The Rebel 500 has a little more power and a little more rumble that you’ll definitely be wishing you had down the road. But at the end of the day the day the 300 will do the job and is the cheaper option. If you rarely do highway or go over 50mph then the 300 will be great.
good reason's, except #4. that sex appeal is crap, unless your 6' 2'' and ride a big harley. here in Florida, the chicks like either a crotch rocket, or harley. personally, i ride for me, not to pick up some chick, that want's to look cool. but i love my Rebel 500. it's 400 lbs. instead of 600 or more, and easily does 85 mph. anyway, carry on, be safe.
A 6th reason, insurance. Full coverage for my bike is 200 per year while the car is close to triple. Tax fees are far less too.

That’s very true!

5b - I love using the HOV lane as a passing lane!

It’s great! If you get one get the 500 or 1100!

In southern Ontario. This price is per litre.
What would you recommend is a good beginners bike? I was looking at the rebel 300 but I’m not quite sure since I’m attracted to looks than detail

I’m 6”0 , I’m from the city NYC, would you say the rebel 500 would be a good fit for my area? I’ll be using it just to get from A to B

@@CruisersCorner thank you ! I appreciate the advice
get the 500. great bike, good power without throwing you off the back, easy to ride. good starter bike, or good bike to cruise on for years.
