In what was “the biggest challenge of (their) lives”, in February 2020, Austrian drum & bass duo Camo & Krooked collaborated with the legendary composer Christian Kolonovits to mix electronic music with symphonic sounds and perform live with a 74-piece orchestra. After several months of dedication the result was ‘Red Bull Symphonic’, premiered with two exclusive shows in an even more exclusive location, Vienna’s Wiener Konzerthaus, a first-choice venue for the world's leading classical composers.
Needless to say, the result was spectacular and now alongside Red Bull’s documentary of the project, Hospital Records are releasing the full showcase as a 22-track live album Featuring the pair’s biggest and best-loved hits all performed by the 74-piece orchestra, this is a drum & bass album like you’ve never heard before. This really shows how hard that orchestra is working to play at 175 bpm. Impressive considering they played for 75min live
lol, fold fiddle players play faster for longer. Not soooo impressive. Although, they are all very, very good.
I play saxophone and can confirm it's hard work at that speed if it's a busy song. The hardest part of playing tunes like these is the keeping the repetition consistent and always at the same dynamics. Climax would have been a killer!

Just because somebody did it better that doesnt make this less impressive... This obviously took a lot of work and a long time to make and deserves all the the praise it can get

please repeat the performance sometimes in the Czech Republic (or atleast in Austria)...maybe do a little Tour with it hmm? I would love to see this live, as it is absolutely EPIC even on the videos...I didn't know that something like this was in the making in January, otherwise I would have definitely visited Vienna :( also the Q&A idea one comment above me sounds nice!

Playing together live over internet is generally not possible because of the latency, dictated by physics (although doable in "lab" conditions). And the sheer bandwidth, in this case. So this is just everyone recording their part on an iPhone watching the same video of the conductor moving to the studio recording. And then the editor, as shown, syncs it all together and has fun with the placement of those squares at his leisure :D
