Im loving firebot! You can use it to play a sound when a certain word is used so if anyone puts lol it playes Peter Griffin's laugh from family guy 🤣
If you're experiencing some lag with video alerts like I did, in OBS, go to 'Settings -> Advanced -> Sources -> Disable browser sources hardware acceleration'. Honestly not a big fan of disabling this since without hardware acceleration, it takes a toll on your CPU when rendering scenes but it is a fix I know of.

It's great you can add sounds to your alerts. What I'd like to know is if anyone knows a good site for sounds done by URL. So instead of using local files, I'd like to utilize sounds from an online source, preferably a free site.
Thoughts? I saw the URL option, just having difficulty getting the URL option to work.
Hey Brad, this should be a new feature that was released in a recent update. The biggest thing with sites hosting sounds, is that often the actual sound file isn't exposed easily. They might have a page that is like sounds.com/coolsounds/ohno, but in order for Firebot to play it, it needs to be to the actual MP3 or OGG (or other extensions) sound file.
quick question... I found out about this today and I am trying to transition from streamlabs. i know in streamlabs you have the option for creating alert variations. So if I made a handful of follow alerts and I want fire bot to trigger one of them at random. What would be the proper approach in setting that up?
This is definitely possible! One thing you could do, is if your alert variations are all in the same Folder, using the Play Video effect, you could have it choose a video within a folder at random!

I´m very new on this, but I couldn´t find a tutorial or help to know how can I link fire bot to my obs so the alerts and effect gif/images show on my obs screen.

If I setup alerts on firebot, should I just delete my streamlabs alerts?
You can keep your Streamlab alerts, but should remove (or hide) their overlay in your scenes. If Streamlabs issues an alert in Chat, either disable that and add to Firebot or do nothing.
Is there a way to do gifted subs? I wasn’t able to find the variable for that
What about host alerts? That's what I'm most interested in
Host alerts would follow the same idea! The difference would be your Event that triggers it. Instead of using the Follow event, you would use the Host event!
I keep rewatching this video and realize my firebot doesnt have that feed chat.
In Settings on my version it just has Enabled so it looks like the chat feature has been removed or something. I need to actually stream and test but wanted to comment so no one panics if they cant see the 2 options.
