Hii Naomi! Just a little tip for the kumquats, since my grandmother grew them growing up! Most people eat them whole with the rind instead of peeling them, since otherwise they are incredibly overly sour. The outside part is completely edible, and adds sweetness, a bit of bitterness, and tones down the sour flavor of the flesh of the fruit a lot! 😊

Belizean Broccoli here! 🥦 (We're from the Caribbean!)
I have NEVER seen ANYONE eat a Soursop like that! It is new to me..
The way I'd advise for you guys to fully enjoy the fruit, is by making a popsicle (or ice-cream) out of it when it ripens. That one didn't seem too ripe in my personal opinion.
To know when it is ripened; it's color will change from the green it is now to a light yellowish-green color. It will also be soft to the touch!
Also! I do believe it can still ripen after cutting once it is sealed properly and placed in the fridge. But I'm not a 100% certain..
Sorry for my little rant! But I hope it helped!

I love soursop! I once bought a fruit for my birthday (it was 20$ CAD - also v expensive) and I bought it in advance because it had to ripen. The fruit y'all tried was definitely not ripe and I don't suggest eating a lot of it because until it gets mushy (also to avoid the seeds - those can be toxic). To me, when ripe, soursop tastes like a pear/pineapple/apple-custard flavour. Somewhat mild and definitely a bit exotic. But it is really good!

The starfruit you have is not ripe enough... it sould be orange in color (it called belimbing in indonesia). Soursoup called Srikaya and it has very sweet-sour taste, we usually mix it in a drink. Surprisingly Salak is also called salak in indonesia, it should be a little sour and the color should be a little whiter then yours (maybe your is too ripe). Mangosteen called manggis and it's kinda rare even here in indonesia

Starfruit is actually really good when it's ripe! It's look more so yellow when it's ripe and I personally like it with a little salt sometimes. As for the soursop, when it is ripened just perfectly, it is amazing. It is soft to the touch when ripe. Love that you all got a chance to try it tho! Loved the video ❤❤
