Some corrections. For Bardin, he didn't choose to leave he was banished and his family disowned him. Check some of the dialogue with Bardin as engineer, when he talks about his family. Also, the vampire whispers in Bardins talks more about his banishment- it's not exactly clear, but he failed in some way involving alerting everyone leading to the Skaven massacring Karak Ziflin, which would include many of his friends and his son. He was not forgiven for the failure, and chose to look for the fabled (likely non-existent) Karak Zorn as compared to direct exile, though they are functionally the same. For Kerillian, she received a prophesy (something along those lines), leading her to believe that Athel Loren would be devoured by the vermintide, and the only way it could be stopped was by the destruction of Ubersreik. Theres also some forest court stuff that I don't quite understand. Anyway, she killed a fair amount of the sentries in the city and reinforcements from nuln that went to help, leading to it's destruction- her curse is her guilt. Likely her actions have sped up the skaven attack on Athel Loren, and she also has fairly directly contributed to everyone's deaths there. The Marcus stuff is pretty spot on, though it is implied that it isn't the first time he's lead many to their deaths; also I don't think he was a soldier, I think he was always a mercenary in the service of the empire. For Victor, mostly right. He still feels very guilty about not saving the burgermeister's daughter. Fantasy witch hunters are generally much more reasonable than their 40k equivalents. Also theres a bunch of stuff to do with losing his eye, but I haven't figured that out. For Sienna, she definitely accidentally killed one of her teachers at some point, and has guilt over that. She also burned down some village as retribution for the local witchhunter killing someone over an accusation that they were something (evil, unspecified), except after the action it was revealed that the witch hunter was in fact correct and justified. Generally she has (had) temper issues, which always get worse when you can actually turn emotions into napalm. can check here: ruclips.net/video/0ASGR0ZIwZs/видео.html
These are some of the most dynamic and complex characters I’ve seen in any game I’ve played. VT2 is my favorite game because of this and the gameplay. Let’s hope we get a 3rd in a few years…
Love the lore on these characters. Victor and markus are my favs. I never played the 1st game, but this helped fill in some of the lore and some of the dialogue in the 2nd game
Hey, nativ german speaker here. You pronounced "Bürgermeister" pretty good. The "ü" is a little of, but compared to other pronunciations of english speaker yours was perfect.
I just discovered this game a few days ago. Have had no exposure to Warhammer before. Loving it so far. Great, now I have to learn a bunch of new proper nouns and nerd shit 😭
Same! I started playing the game recently with a friend and we're both blown away. We didn't expect that, we thought it would be a neat little hack and slash game but nothing special, however the game is extremely fun and the level and art design is excellent. We both never cared for Warhammer before, but we are huge LOTR fans, and this game feels more like LOTR than many official LOTR games, lol. I also love the late medieval twist to the fantasy formula. I guess it's time for me to start reading the novels. I always yearned for another cool universe to delve into besides LOTR and Star Wars, but nothing spoke to me like this one.
Victor, also known as the empires most tolerant and open minded witch hunter/witch hunter captain. Sienna, the empires most stable bright wizard. Bardin, The most untraditional Dwarf. Kerrillian, the most likeable, friendly and agreeable wood elf. Krubber, Bretonnia's smartests grail knight.
Zhufbar isn't lost you might be thinking of karak zorn which is somewhere in the southlands, which he is searching for he did serve as an ironbreaker at either karak norn or karak ziflin which are both in the grey mountains
Not that I'm an expert in any sense, but Victor claims that Sigmar teaches his followers to respect Dwarves, so I'd guess Sigmarites in general would consider Dwarves some kind of ally
Victor's absolute lack of chill is what makes him my favorite
Victor is actually taller then markus

Yes, but this video is from 4 years ago
This channel is suprising Gold. I'm glad to have found it.
thank you for the backgrounds and info on the characters, love this game i had to find out more about it!

You’ll have to update this when Cousin Okri is added as the 6th character.
Love the lore on these characters. Victor and markus are my favs. I never played the 1st game, but this helped fill in some of the lore and some of the dialogue in the 2nd game
I'm late to finding this, however it was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks, keep up the great work! :)
No worries! Thank you for the support.
I am 5 years late but your pronounciation of Bürgermeister was spot on lol
LMAO thank you. I still remember cringing at myself
Was just gonna comment the same thing lol
5 years late but this was a really good video so thanks! Also it’s nice to see a Warhammer RUclipsr who knows that dwarfs are the best
That means a lot still, and I have a lot of dwarf warhammer videos too!

Poohead189 here. That’s one hell of a flash bang

I thought it was Ferguson the first time I read Sienna’s name, too. A nasty habit to shake, that was.
Thanks for the info POOHEAD189, a true hero
Great video. Love the party and the extra law on Victor has actually clarified somethings and he is my second favorite now (Kerrilian is 1st)
What about cousin okri???
when people dont realise that siennas last name "fue-go-nasus" actually includes the spanish word for fire, fuego
In the game at taal’s keep bardin talks about serving as a ironbreaker at Zhufbar a lost dwarf hold
Is zhufbar a lost hold? I thought it was still well established
Frog Punx it’s lost to the Dwarves cause they don’t receive letters of the dwarves living there it’s well established just not known
Isn't that hold near vampire territory?
@@mrnobody7348 not really last time I checked on the maps it’s near the tomb Kings and lizardmen
Zhufbar isn't lost you might be thinking of karak zorn which is somewhere in the southlands, which he is searching for he did serve as an ironbreaker at either karak norn or karak ziflin which are both in the grey mountains
Thank you for this
amazing, thank you
Burgermeister means mayor
good video! I love this game
Seconds 1-3 of this video are legendary
Great info video thank you
Glad you enjoyed it
i think victor is taller than kruber but other than that very cool video
Thanks!
Hey you may not ever read this but you shoud totally maybe make a lore vid about the dlc classes
Ferguson you watch ufc huh😂😂🔥
Bürgermeister ist the german word for Mayor :)
Bei dem Wort Mayor krieg ich immer Bock auf Pommes mit Mayo. Genauso wie ich bei Washington immer an Schinken denken muss.
How did you find out all this cool lore for vermintide
A lot of it is on the website for the game itself. There's also twitter and TV tropes, and of course small in-game info you can glean from playing
"lumberfart"
Is there going to be an updated video with more information?
I might make a new one soon.
I know I'm late, but the way you said Bürgermeister is almost correct. The r was too English, but other than that it was fine.
Do WitchHunters accept dwarfs as allies
Not that I'm an expert in any sense, but Victor claims that Sigmar teaches his followers to respect Dwarves, so I'd guess Sigmarites in general would consider Dwarves some kind of ally
"He could have killed her then and there."
Come on... you know that isn't true.
Yet the man still leads the way for other 4 - including centuries old wise elf, former ironbreaker and undying mercenary
Saltzpyre is a chad. He defo could’ve.

Imagine, Vic Salter is considered anomaly amongst his organization because he is the least racist WH
