    I am or was a NASCAR fan. Don't many drivers walk away from crashes like that. I am truly grateful for his safety and whomever built such a great car to protect the driver.

      I think he had the pass had he stayed on the gas. But he locked up the breaks to avoid the lap car in front of him and that sent the right rear into Scott Bogucki

      Looked like the 87 was going to run middle and he expected the 10 to run the cushion. The 87 ran middle and the 10 started to run the cushion in entry then came down off the cushion. I think it was a racing deal.

    I always thought Reutzel is a dirty driver. Plus another tore up race car due to a failed slide job. I hate slide jobs to its just cutting someone off.

    I think Aaron wouldve cleard Scott had he just attempted a slider. But he hit the breaks to avoid the car in front of him and the right rear went directly into Scott. He shouldve just stayed high in 1 and 2. Then Scott wouldnt have gotten by him in the first place

      Yep. This hard for the young racer to grasp, especially but not always, when racing with someone is known to be careless at time. You are both hard into the turn. If he is inside AND has a wheel under you, give it up. Give it up! As the punt that will be coming won't be pleasant. Give up the spot and race back, not leave on the hook.

    87 didn't have him cleared but these cars both have throttles and brakes, when you see the right rear approaching your left front you have choices

      The rate of knots Aaron was heading, by the time Scott would have seen him, the result would have been the same (brakes from Scott that is) = Scott into the fence.
      One of the dumbest sliders I have seen. Expect it from a young inexperienced driver, but with the laps he has done, he should know better

    When you get fed a wheel, you have to hit the brakes. Was it a crappy pass? Yes. But Bogucki had a full clear view of what was coming and he didn't lift. Sometimes you have to give up a position to stay in one piece.

    Reutzel didn't know where Bogucki was in relation to Reutzel's car. Reustzel did slid up a bit, but Bogucki's car was also pinching Reutzel. Was Reutzel able to continue or was he sent to the back of the pack?

    2nd and 3rd time watching Reutzel didn't have Bogucki cleared as much as I thought the first time seeing it. That was close as it gets to cuttin' it too close. As every body says, it all happens really quick at those speeds and they were both goin' for it. YIKES, that was a big hit.

    That would be a shit happens moment, definitely not intentional, just a failed short slider. It has always been an inherent risk of open wheel racing and always will be. Don't like it. Go and watch a bunch of crybabies running with doors in Nascar.

      Slide jobs are great... the one car slides up in front of the other guy and if the other guy has to hit his brakes... that's racing. Aaron is an idiot that has no clue how to pull off a slide job. Not my car either, that's why I stopped putting lots of money in to racing is because of guys like that idiot. Between me and another guy we would have 2-4 more cars out there but my wife won't give me bale money anymore....

    I do not like Reutzels racecraft or lack thereof but the 10 should have backed out of it, in my opinion. As a driv3r you have to anticipate what is coming & it was clear a slider was coming. Sliders dont or cant work if the slidee runs into the back of the slider. This is all easier said than done of course. Sprint cars are just so fast & reaction times must be cat like or you are in trouble

    Just looked again.Aaron dipped down for the pass, and the car skated it wasn't on purpose. It was an accident. Aaron could have hurt himself also, but it was for second not first just take P-3 Aaron.

      Aaron sems to have these sort of "accidents" at a frequency greater than any 10 other drivers combined.
      At that frequency, it's no longer an accident. Once, accident. twice, maybe still an accident. Three times, it;s no intentional, and it's a pattern. I've seen him do that 6-7 times this year alone. Probalby more, not been keeping score.

      Maybe so, but I watched the Wild Child tear up a brand new car at the Bay. It was the new Penzoil 22, and he started about 6th and wrapped it up in turn, one on the drop of the green. It happens. I've seen worse. Some guys go through 4 or 5 cars a year. Sometimes, not even for the same car owner. But yes, he has had quite a few.

    I think buguski tried to send Aaron for a ride coming down on Arron’s right rear and it failed, Arron held his like and when buguski pitched his car sideways it hit Arron’s right rear, I’m not a fan of either one but that was more buguskis fault than Aaron’s… that’s how racing is you pass the car in front of you.. 10 car is at fault IMO go ahead and roast the shit out of me but my eyes don’t lie
