  • I return to Alaska exactly one year after starting this trip to ride through Canada and fill in the missing "Gap"
    I am currently cycling from Alaska to Argentina on the Pan American Highway and trying to climb the highest mountain in every country on the way.

    Joe Kerr was killing it at the end. Joe definitely needs a raise. Love the series with wit, humor, learned-lessons, imagery, and ideas. Who knew sledding on the black volcano was a thing?

    I've watched all of your videos, and this one is my favorite. Chicken-stock, getting back and starting to re-finish the ride... all strong, good stuff. Know you have long life ahead of you with many of other types of adventures (marriage, family, more cycling / climbing, etc.), and hope you film and share them all.... Most of all, you have great style!

    It was great when we rode to the Arctic Circle we'd see these guys and girls in the middle of nowhere with their spandex on riding their bicycles. I can't even imagine how they talk their wife into the adventure sweetheart you're going to sit on a bicycle seat for 8,000 miles you're going to pee in the woods you're going to sleep in the mosquitoes I can't imagine how that discussion went

    Yo Marshal!! Awesome and fun video. The ending was very funny and we understand your frustration about Canada. While we did enjoy taking the ferry from Valdez down to Bellingham, WA last summer, it was very expensive. We too plan on returning to either Fairbanks or Anchorage or heck maybe go all the way back to the start in Deadhorse to complete the ride through Canada, but first we do plan on finishing the ride to Ushuaia. Maybe our paths will cross somewhere before Ushuaia and we can finish together since we nearly started last June in Deadhorse at the same time. Also, CONGRATS on hitting 1000 subs!!! Well done and thanks for the motivation to work on some more videos ourselves. Your friends Ron & Petra

    I enjoyed your beautiful panoramic shots of Alaska and thought the moose sightings were hilarious. It reminded me of my own bike ride around the Golden Circle last July. But I was chagrined at your diatribe against Trudeau. He imposed a ban on travelers without vaccinations.
    Why didn't you just get vaccinated?
    ps Yes, he is guilty of racism but two shots in blackface was over the top.

    • @fatnomad

      I was vaccinated, this was before the borders were opened, even to vaccinated travelers. And the jokes are all in fun.

    Down tube shifters are superior.

    • @driftwood4458
      @driftwood4458 Год назад

      The bike requires a wrist shifter to be compatible with the rear geared hub.

    • @jantelliquawallace355
      @jantelliquawallace355 Год назад

      @driftwood4458 why is that? Grip shift just coils the cable the same as a friction shift down tube lever. Fill me in. I need to know. I often ponder a hub but I love down tube shifters.

    Just finished first two episodes of your journey and thought I'd jump straight into this episode since it's back to Alaska. Not to sounds generic, but I hope you are doing OK bud. There were definitely less smiles and positive energy in this one vs the start of your travels. Not sure what happened or maybe it's just me but thought I'd comment to say this - If you are tired or not into this whole thing any longer it's totally fine to stop and do something else... After all you should be the one who is enjoying it with no obligations to others... Anyways just wanted to put it out here.
    P.S when watching 2nd episode after seeing this one I was expecting to see Trudau stupid face when you was hiking down that dirt road, was half disappointed to see an actual bear, haha!

    I’ve loved your videos. But you lost me at the anti-Canadian comments. It was a global pandemic, I, like many others, also had to alter my bike tour, which was a bummer but I rolled with it. #glass houses (Trump, among some other questionable leaders)…
