Hi, thanks for the video is in-place archive storage is free ? and is in place archive storage is different from 50 GB space what we get with mail box ? can we archive(.pst ) on local PC ? what's the purpose of moving mails to archive , when its is in the same storage using 50GB Mail box ?
I'm sorry for not getting back to you sooner. Q1: In-Place Archive is a premium feature with an Exchange license. I have a Business Std License. It is unable to Personal and Family Plans. Q2: In-place archives eliminate the need for PST files AND allow users to store messages in the Archive mailbox. Q3: Per my license, I have a total of 100 GB. 50 GB of Archive capacity is shared with the primary mailbox. Once I enable the setting, the remaining 50GB is reserved for In-place archives. Q4: Usage: I personally do not use the Archive folder. To me, it is no different from a custom "misc" folder. I like In-place archives, which move and backup outdated items from folders to a separate mailbox to reduce folder clutter. However, I want to export these older emails on my external device.
