9:01 This...this man is a psychic.
Right down to the being wiped out of existence thing as the reason.
I laughed so hard coming back to this.
WHAT THE FUCK
Yes
"No one want's to look up to you anymore Superman. They don't want to strain their necks."
Kickass line
Why does Lex Luthor make such a Valid Point?!
There must've been someone from Marvel Studios who watched itsjustsomerandomguy.
9:03... oh god that hurts more now.
... he's physic.
Even the same situation of being erased. O.o
Told you psychic.
TheDisneyLover58 I know right. And like before Spider-Man is that last hero to go.
@AJG 11 to be exact but yeah, quite a foreshadowing indeed.
The original “Mr. Stark... I don’t feel so good”
Alltimesuper
No joke, it legitimately spooked me a bit
Couldn’t the Russo brothers have made a little tribute to Random Guy?
@@hrufnsvart Tom improvised the line. He's probably a fan.
Steel Xcaliber we should go to him then. He will probably confirm it. Jeez that’s so awesome!!
I swear Randomguy just knows these characters inside and out and knows just how to write for them. I mean Lex's motivation gave him just the right amount of moral ambiguity.
But then he wouldn't be making funny RUclips videos about them...
He's probably too busy doing whatever he's been doing instead of making videos to do that. Besides, he'd have to get a job at Disney or WB and the movie industry is NOT an easy one to get into.
mattwo7 look at it now he's still here.
@@mattwo7 It isn't. But it doesn't seem like talent is required.
@@ginge641 No, it's mostly about having both the basic qualifications and the right connections. The later is the hard part.
OH. MY. GOD.
ItsJustSomeRandomGuy predicted the Spider-Man line nearly eleven years in the past!
Which line?
@@tayl2991 9:03 "I don't feel so good."
@@Renagade2332 thank you
@@tayl2991 no problem
"Irrelevance did it for me".
Man, what awesome writing.
“Guys? I don’t feel so good...” 😭😭
Future Itsjustsomerandomguy sent me here
Same! He must be so proud of himself!
@@TheGuardDuck He probably audibly gasped when he heard the line.
9:02 Wow, I didn't know you could predict the future
3:47-5:44
this scene between luthor and superman was amazing. the dialog was incredible. the way luthor explained it to superman just made one of the greatest scenes i have ever watched in my life.
BRAVO!!! Great Job RamdomGuy
I came for the comedy but stayed for the awesome storyline that actually made we rethink how I evaluate comic book characters, causing me to feel conflicted. Also, nice Blazing Saddles reference!
wait a diddly darn second 9:00. Tom Holland you mad man
*SPOILER*
Holy shit! This video predicted Spider-Man's death in Infinity War!! 😢
I REALLY enjoy these. Great parody of commercials has morphed into an epic examination of superhero genre that culminated superbly into Lex's contrast between Superman and the Marvel hero. "You don't have to look up to our heroes. You just have to relate to them. And now we have an entire generation that thinks they're just fine, and how dare anyone suggest they improve themselves."
Wonderful put.
Indeed. What’s scary is that the relevance of Lex’s spiel has multiplied by a millionfold since this series was made-in all the worst possible ways. How far things have fallen. It’s incredibly distressing and exasperating.
@@Armaldo468 EXACTLY;
it's STILL Relevant 2 years after you posted this comment!! and I'm surprised how Well Luthor's Speech had Aged due to how true the points he makes in this speech are!!
9:03 wait a damn minute! Tom Holland you have explaining to do!
Damn. Luthor is making so much sense.
And that's the point where you KNOW something is seriously wrong.
Not exactly. Relating to someone and looking up to someone are not in any way mutually exclusive things. Conflicted characters don't just overpower super-villains, they struggle with themselves. And that's the point. The example is not in being perfect, but in struggling with your own imperfection and showing the ways that you can win or lose in this struggle.
WhiteScorpio2 Yes, but Superman is a different hero altogether. He was supposed to be someone you always try to be like but never could to ensure people never stopped trying to be better.
@@ShadyDoorags Why bother Trying to be better; when there's only so far you can improve and a peak that's Impossible to reach for any human?!
@@WhiteScorpio2No they are mutually exclusive things. Struggling with yourself is not interesting
9:03 "Mr Stark... I understood that reference."
Holy crap random guy called the end of infinity war even the i dont feel so good
*Marvel Studios referencing Itsjustsomerandomguy.*
This is the Infinity War series before the actual Infinity War
You know, what with Spidey's line @9:05 and the ending, this became suddenly more relevent
Oh my god Spider-Man saying “guys, I don’t feel so good” as he disappears from existence 10 years before Infinity War
3:48 through 5:09 is an absolutely amazing soliloquy by Lex. Congratulations on a social commentary disguised as an arch-villain's plan for domination as he confronts his heroic counterpart. An elegant argument against mediocrity through the lens of a wonderfully entertaining storyline. Thank you for all your effort in putting these together.
still love to come back and hear LL speech to Supes
"I don´t want to go, Mr. Wayne..."
Looks like Infinity War took some took some inspiration for Spider Man's death
Indeed! I was wondering why "The Dustening" scene in I.W. didn't hit me with the surprise I thought it would, I had basically seen it all before!
You know, its funny seeing this scene after watching Infinity War...
love how Spider-Man said I dont feel so good, years before the movie came up with it. 😁
9:02 HE KNEW
I feel like man of steel's writer should have listened to Lex's speech
+Noel Mercado XD
You will give them an ideal to strive towards
i love man of steel
This is freakin' beautiful. The characterizations are spot-on, the commentary is insightful, and the dialogue is that perfect mix of irreverence and drama.
You, sir, have Won The Internet.
Wow...this man really did predict the future...
What he wrote for lex to say to superman is what the super hero world is missing nowadays! He was ahead of hid time.
Infinity War was partly inspired by Randomguy. I'm sincerely not surprised.
Wow, hearing Spider-Man say “I don’t feel so good” gave me chills.
You did it first!!!!
Rewatching this, I can't help but think about how much a Batman/Spider-Man film would be amazing.
I'd watch that
ihtfg287tgwef8bifqw if there ever could be one, it has to be this: ruclips.net/video/G1mhr1Gb5sY/видео.html
How about Superman and Spider-Man?
this man predicted infinity war 11 years before it came out
9:02 Wow... And this video came out one year before the MCU...
Wait, did Spider-Man get erased from existence 12 years before the time he actually did???!!! Oh. My. God
Like a true Randomguy fan, I'm watching this again in Feb 2019 because Randomguy told me to.
My god... it is true. Random guy is a time traveler!
that "i don't feel so good" prediction.
Wait...... just putting it out there without any context (but some people will know what I mean) this series sort of predicted the future
Exactly what I was feeling when I heard that line.
Or maybe Kevin Feige has been secretly watching these
YUP;
Lex Luthor's Speech REALLY Aged much better than IT REALLY SHOULD'VE!!
"I don't feel so good." was and ad-lib by Tom Holland right? you think he was doing the reference on purpose or it's just a big coincidence?
I know others have said it but RANDOM GUY WROTE INFINITY WAR
Omg did Spider-Man just say I don't feel so good so we could have a Marvel and DC crossover movie.
9:03
I got mind crushed
Marvel owes you money
I do not doubt that the writers for Marvel movies have watched these videos... Now if only we could get DC's movie writers and Marvel's comicbook writers to watch these as well.
Spidey:Mr.Stark I don't feel so good
We gonna breeze past the fact this dude called spideys death In infinity war
Rewatching this in 2019 I remember when it was brand new
9:03 holy shit man you predicted a marvel meme!
ladies and gentlemen, here it is, the reason I love Superman, Lex's speach here and all that is what made me realize I love superman more than any one else.
That was quite possible the single GREATEST dialog between Superman and Lex Luther...ever. It defines who they are as characters, and makes for great Marvel/DC super hero theory debate. LOVE.
@3:56-4:49
Lex Luthor: The Marvel Universe has corrupted everything you stand for all in the name of high drama. Think about it Kal-El. Your job is to be an inspiration for people, someone they can look up to, someone they can aspire to be like; in steadfastness, in character, in ideals. And what did Marvel offer? They said "Don’t worry; You don’t have to aspire to anyone in our books. You just have to relate to them." And now we have an entire culture that thinks that who they are is just fine and how dare anyone suggest they can improve themselves? Why aspire to be Superman when it’s so much easier to relate to Spider-Man? No one wants to look up to you anymore, Superman. They don’t want to strain their necks. Instead they look straight ahead at the compromised heroes in front of them and say "That’ll do just fine".
Honestly. . . I Love this line! I can't help but feel that Lex Luthor makes a Valid Arguement here. . .
This series is what started My RUclips Love. I love coming back to appreciate the humor, storytelling, quips, and HILARIOUS unintentional foreshadowing of this series Much respect!!
"No one wants to look up to you anymore, Superman. They don't want to strain their necks."
Luthor's monologue in this is fucking amazing, and I think this is the best line in the whole series!
I Can't help but feel like he makes a valid point about society & how they no longer want a paragon to aspire to be like; and how people now just want characters that they can relate to them due to having flaws like they do!
You know when I was like 12 or 13 these videos were just entertaining content. But now I see why these hold up really well. Because the writing of these videos is really well done. :)
"Did you really believe I wasn't prepared for your treachery?"
"Did you really believe I wasn't prepared for your preparation?"
Great dialogue! Can't stop laughing.
I’m convinced the writers of infinity war watched this
9:03 has Tom Holland seen this?
Best Villain speech ever!!!!
"I didn't have to. Irrelevance did it for me." Wow. That's some pretty decent writing/dialogue there. And as always, I'm amazed at how accurate the Joker sounds. It's like the guy's channeling Mark Hamil.
9:02 HOLY CRAP! 😲
How does he do it
Dude, your writing is incredible. What you said about Superman vs. the Marvel Universe was so true. Keep up the good work!
Dude, time after time, you turn dolls and action figures into some of the best entertainment out there right now, and I *LOVE* your Batman! Keep up the good work.
Holy crap! 3:55, that is some genuine Lex Luthor evil dialogue right there. "No one wants to look up to you anymore, Superman... They don't want to strain their necks."
and the sad thing is; HE'S MAKING A VERY VALID POINT!!
Who the hell doesn't look up to spiderman he's just as heroic and he actually has to try relatablity makes it easier to look up to someone
Isn't that the point he's trying to make?
I mean HE DID Sell his Marriage to an unholy entity. . .
"No one wants to look up to you, Superman; they don't want to strain their necks."
DIABOLICAL! I find myself ... almost persuaded by Luthor.
Kudos.
wooow this was seriously amazing. You did a real nice work on this video. And the voice acting for Joker was great.
The conversation between Luthor and Superman was 5 stars
Whoa! Deadpool was right.
Genius! I've never heard a villain monologue as convincing as Luthor's.
IKR?
DC = Impossibly Flawless Idealistic Paragons
Marvel: Relatable Flawed Characters
"no one wants to look up to you superman....they don't want to strain their necks" that was preeeeeeeeetty badass
wow, what started off as just a fun aside turned into some great writing, awesome voice acting, and a genuinely entertaining story!
and all with action figures!!! Awesome job man, your story telling abilities are incredible
Am I the only one seeing this in a weird definition?
Nope! Been this way for at least 2 years!
I do too but I got use to it.
obligatory infinity war prediction comment
did you really think i wasn't prepared for your preperation?
god i love these!
You do such a great job with the story lines. And the voices are dead on! Keep up the good work!
O_O This actually sounds like Lex.
9:00 No way.
Dude..this part was awesome.
Lex and Superman's convo was great. I mean I've rofl at most of your videos, but this one actually made you sit and think. Damn good job.
I was impressed by how well you were able to pull of the serious scene in this episode and I liked the Blazing Saddles reference.
@5:40
Lex Luthor: Irrelevance did it for me;
WHY IS HE MAKING SUCH VALID POINTS?!!
What's weird is that even though he's only saying it to manipulate Superman, Lex makes a lot of really good points about the modern state of comics.
ikr? And this was 16 years ago; and IT'S STILL RELEVANT!!
I have to say that the scene of Luthor and Doom trying to one up each other was comedy gold!
seriously this is TOO EPIC. You are a genius!
OMG IT FUCKING HAPPENED IN A REAL FUCKING MOVIE AND THE SAME LINE!!!!!!!!(I mean I was thinking if its gonna happened in this video but wow this was like 9 years ago and you predicted spider-man's dead) MIND BLOWING!!!!!
Randomguy sent me here.
Awesome as always, funny as hell, and surprisingly deep. Well done!
Dude! I've been watching a few and my god these are awesome! Kudos! Please keep on making these. Amazing!
This is still relevant today specially 9:03
I have to agree with Lex there. It's sad how Superman is viewed today, his popularity is lower than ever before, even with the Man of Steel movie. I wish he could get more love again.
That was so amazing. XD I thought you were really spot-on with your parody of the characters' personalities. :)
I just wanna say I love the whole series so far. Brilliant writing and great voice work. I love the iMovie lightning effect too.
This is why Snyder's vision for DC doesn't work he is trying to Dark Knightify every character.
I cant believe they stole from you!!!!!!! Better demand your billions in royalties!!!!!!!!
