Great review! I definitely see an A&S amp in my future... One area you could make your videos even better is those time stamps that integrate into the timeline. I know I sometimes like to come back to reviews and watch specific sections again (like comparisons as they're so useful!)
So this is your second Mogwai you've reviewed, I think? Can you detail a few of the differences? Jupiter caps were absent in the first one, ya? Also, great review as usual. Love the camera work. I too dislike listening to gremlins, although it was a great movie.
This is the only Mogwai I reviewed @Elnrik Jupiter caps are an upgrade from stock though and should be added in my opinion. Thanks buddy for your support!!

I'm going to be purchasing my first tube HP amp soon and have narrowed it down to: Mogwai Se, Cayin HA-6A, Cayin HA-300, Feliks Euphoria, Dragon Inspire IHA-1, Ultrasonic Oblivion, Auris HA2, Manley Absolute amp, DNA Stratus, and Moth si2A3. I'm leaning toward one of the Cayins or the Euphoria but Donald North sure does make some sexy amps. Have you had experience with this bunch and if so what would be your suggestion for powering demanding planars (HE6 SEv2, 1266 Phi TC, Susvara)?
Hey @Ace of Spades thanks for watching and your great comment/question. That is quite the list of Amps you have it narrowed down to. I have not personally heard many of those amps for any length of time to give you a solid recommendation from a sound perspective however, the Mogwai SE would be similar to the amp from this review as discussed in the review. Many of the amps you listed are fantastic according to a few friend's ears that I trust. However personally I can't comment yet. What I can do is get you 10% off on any ampsandsound amps with a special code for the channels subscribers if that helps sweeten the Mogwai SE for you? If you are interested let me know. :)

As you go up the price for their ampandsound, does the sound quality becomes better through diminishing returns ?
In my opinion it becomes better. However their more affordable amps are terrific too.

can you power a 1266phi with this?
I would reach out to Justin to double check. It was fantastic with the HE6seV2 but I didn't run the 1266phi with it when I had it.
