Loved it with the Susvara and Verite Closed. It brought the best out of the DCA Stealth. It really brings out the best in everything. I loved it so much I bought one.
@@duranxv - Loved it, which is why I bought it. I hae no need to tube roll, but when I do, I know it will change the sound. If the change is better or worse, that is subjective. What I can tell you, is I saw a lot of people try the Nautilus and with the stock tubes most people felt it was the best they've ever heard their headphones. I have a friend with the Cayin 300b and on the Naut his 1266's was the best he's heard it. I heard the same over and over again. So yea, it sounds great with the stock tubes.
From your point of view, given that you've reviewed some great tube amps, I was wondering if there are any lower cost options that are comparable to the Nautilus in terms of sound quality? I have a transparent Solid State amp that I plan to use a pre-amp for extra power, so I don't really need anything that's a powerhouse. I only really need extra tubeyness that would really make my ZMF VC shine without delving into the abyss of constant tube rolling. Any suggestions? :)
wow ampsandsound knocked it out of the park with this one! The nautilus and bigger ben can compete with the big boys from the major tube playas. Very cool to see what they can come up with.
It looks so bare.. Like they ran outta budget to either make is smaller and more compact, or to add more tubes across the tray. Look like a big kitchen counter with salt shakers on it. Pass. Don't care if it sounds amazing. Amazing sound has to go with some good looks for as much as this costs.
WTH $9,200.00 USD for an over priced headamp - the construction looks like pressed metal tin and there has to be a dozen other amps that would likely do much better - Eddie Current - Studio -0 @ $7K , The Woo Audio WA33 at $8K, Donald North Audio - Stratus @ $3K, HeadAmp - Blue Hawaii Special Edition at $6K, the Toolshed Amps - Darling for less than $4K which is a piece of art
Have you heard it? If you haven't heard it, don't you think commenting on what might be better is a bit presumptuous? Please try to keep your comments a bit more professional, please. If you don’t like the looks, you can say that without being mean-spirited, but if you haven't heard the amplifier, claiming other amps sound better is a bit of a stretch.
@@MarcelloRostagni yea your right Ill tone it down but when I see $10K for something using pressed tin steel I was ill... and youre right about hearing it first- my bad- but sometimes you dont need to drive the 2020 Karma to know it was going to flop the price was way too high for that and for this amp no matter the performance- it's not a Audio Note Ongaku we are talking about here (or maybe it is)
