Glad you enjoyed it, Thomas. I’m glad there still exists appreciation for the aural arts, even if we can only gather to enjoy them here on YT. I can tell you in all honesty that playing bass on shows like this and on tour with Jon were the absolute pinnacle of my forty+ years of live performances. You might also enjoy some of the stuff from my Great Beyond CD, which features Jon on a track called “The Culprit” (also posted here). Or at jasonjennings.bandcamp.com, where you can find a track called “Let It Bang” with Jon and Matt LaPorte. Cheers! :)
Saw The Hall Of The Mountain King Tour back in the day.Savatage ,Nuclear Assult and Testament. What a show that was to see all 3 bands live.Once I got done seeing Savatage play, all original members,I was instantly a fan. From Jon's voice to Criss guitar playing.I knew then , this band is something special.Im so glad I got to see them play live for the Hall Of The Mountain King tour.I never will forget that tour.Such a great Era of Metal and to be young back then in a mosh pit was incredible. I'm proud to still be a fan of the band Savatage today. The music of Savatage will be forever timeless. It will inspire future generations to come.❤️ Long live Savatage and thank you Chris Olivia 🙏 for all the years of music you gave to the world.Your voice is amazing and you in my opinion, will forever be the true voice of Savatage !!!! Peace and ❤️👍
Happy to share! I’ve been jamming with Jon for over 35 years now, so it was high time I organized some of the odds and ends that I’ve collected. Check out some of Jon’s jams with my old band Doobius Arbuckle here on YT, or on my Great Beyond CD tracks.
@@PGGMusic I haven’t heard him in quite some time but I did see him with Savatage on the Poets & Madmen tour, back in ‘01. Also he was on the bill when I did the JOP 2012 tour and Storytellers in 2013. I only know him as an acquaintance, but he’s a very nice individual.
@@PGGMusic - I've known Jon (and Criss) since Avatar, early '80s. I've played bass on numerous projects of Jon's through the years (and he's done vocals on a couple of mine); I toured Europe and the UK in '12 (we played 'Hall of the Mountain King' in its entirety); the eastern USA in '13; and a one-off show at ProgPower in Atlanta in '14 (we played 'Streets' in its entirety). So yes, I met Damond some time ago. I've been around Tampa Bay show biz for forty years.
I ´ve just bumped into this video after years of not having paid much attention to them in particular . It is really impressive that Jon still maintains this level of performance , - mind boggling even ,considering how unhealthy and intoxicated he looks/sounds like ...as for Zak Stevens ,well , no need to say anything ,is there ? I hear potential for a new Savatage recording in here is basically what I´m trying to get at .
Jon and Zack are just wow amazing singers can't wait to hear the new Savatage album.
Still playing Savatage in 2023 #👍👍👍
Damn, Zak still has a killer voice.
Can we please get new Sav album?
Jon Oliva, The Mountain King, unsung Metal god, he’s my hero.
love both voices but john even in this age and health conditions still sounds magical.......
Jon Oliva rules!
Absolutely love the music of Savatage and Jon Oliva is magical. Amazing how well his voice has held up. Cool video Jason, Thanks for it!

@@jasongjennings Jason, thank you for your answer. I will definitely watch the videos. Thank you, I really appreciate it ❤️
Thank you for posting this!!
woooowww, so great to hear these two guys again.
Enjoy!
I remember Savatage playing in small rock clubs...man those were the days. TSO puts on a killer show, but I would love a new Savatage album.
Wow! Good times before this pandemic monster! Wish I could see this happening!
Alas, it's just a distant memory now, bordering on the surreal...
@@jasongjennings on a dark and lonely night, to a distant fading light...🤘😢still the orchestra plays...
Awsome vid . Thx for uploading . R.I.P. Matt
Glad you enjoyed it!
RIP Matt
What a cool video, thanks
Please enjoy!
RIP Matt Laporte 🙏📿
Jon and Zak singing a duet. They should do that on a new Savatage album!
Who knows-anything could happen! I’ve seen some pretty bizarre behavior out of that camp’s administration...
@@jasongjennings or an album with Damon. I've heard him for the first time last week. I was impressed by how his voice suits the Savatage sound.
