I remember that our flight from Doha was delayed by 10 hours, so the airline per everyone stay in a 5star hotel, even the people that had booked economy class. They also upgraded all the children on the flight to first class, and gave us a lot of toys, which we got to keep. For a poor kid from Bangladesh, it was very nice 👌

Dulvin Abayasingha don’t make assumptions about people you don’t know. I’m not saying it’s bad by any stretch of the imagination. But compared to a number of airlines it’s a very basic seat.

Nice, I just flew the same route on Qatar's first class last month. I purposefully plan long layovers at Doha Airport cuz I love the Al-Safwa lounge and they have free hotel rooms in the lounge
Do the same in SQ lounge at Changi. Redeem miles on a two leg regional flight, ie in Manila Singapore Denpasar, making the most of fewer krisflyer points per mile flown. Opt for at least 12 hrs in Singapore, sleep in the Silverkris lounge terminal 3 and enjoy the facilities to the fullest, full buffet service, drinks and a shower, at peak times try your luck getting into the private room, I've done it successfully. Best use of minimal miles, do it at least once a year and SQ has good award availabilty for regional routes on rather new equipment, the B787 and A350.

The Business Class QSuites on Qatar Airways has been so successful that it is making their First Class product seem rather underwhelming.

Qatar Airways may have the best fleets, but offers the worse customer service, they have NONE. Try their 24/7 phone, Facebook and Twitter direct messaging and they will not reply while you have purchase their business class tickets and paid extra to select your seats, not many honest reviews anywhere on RUclips by anyone on Qatar Airways.
i completely agree. similar menu, similar travel case with toiletries just as comfortable bed with lower price point.

Weird that the qsuite offer more privacy.
Qsuites do seem nicer than the 1st class. That is odd.
The QSuites came out when Qatar Airways decided to do away with First Class but by that time Qatar Airways already had 10 A380s that are set to be taken out of service by 2024 , there was no point updating a plane ear marked for being sent to be spare parts .
IIRC Qatar claimed that the survey they performed on their passengers to seek opinions for their 1st class design revealed a preference for a more open cabin

I so miss Doha, I worked at Al Udied, AFB for three years after retiring from the USAF. QATAR is a wonderful country with great people! Doha was building the FIFA World Cup stadiums the year before my contract ran out. Loved the ice skating rink in the mall!

Amazing Dan, i fly Qatar all the time and once they upgraded me to busness class, then at Doha i was called to the checkin desk and they upgraded me further to first class! I could not believe it and probably never in my life get to fly first class again, truly wonderful on the A380.
I got upgraded from business to first on an Emirates A380 flight to Bangkok. It was better than Qatar in my opinion. I had a totally private suite to myself. There were 8 people with me, but never interacted with them or saw their faces. 🤣

(I know they may have updated the first class) even though there's more space and probably more service, I still prefer their business class Qsuites because with the door and more privacy, it just gives it that "suite" feel.

UPDATE: I can finally say that after 2 years of waiting, I will make my trip back to Indonesia. Now even though ticketing messed up my flight and booked me from main economy instead of PE with AA going to Indonesia but hey who cares I like AA and Qatar. I will get to use both on my inbound and outbound flights. Though my opportunity was taken from me. I will be able to experience a premium seating at another time. Just happy to be able to see my husband again. Ayo Indonesia!!!

I have to tell you that your video about A380 singapore arlines first class and business class was fantastic for me as i have never flown long haul and didnt no which airline to choose , so after watching your videos i have booked for next year from sydney to seoul , however i live in nz so have to fly to sydney in the morning to catch the Singapore plane that has the suites..and juat yesturday singapore airline have announced they are flying auckland a380 in the new airbus with suites lol ,, so changing my flight home to direect singapore to auckland ..thanks dan look forward to new videos ... i need to go see what airline to fly seoul to tokyo as i want to go visit thwir for a few days as well .. any recommendations ?? business classs only

Glad I came across this. My husband wants to go to Dubai for our anniversary and the round trip 1st class tickets are a lil over $20k each! He said we only live once but Qatar is only $3k and this video seems like the flight will be just as good! I could not fly that long without it being first class or business the minimum. Shoot I fly 1st class 2hrs from Fl to NYC bcz it just nice to do.

Especially in countries like the UAE and Qatar which are both on relatively good terms with the Western countries. It would be highly unlikely that a citizen of a country in the EU or US would be arrested for such a petty incident.
Wonderful job Dan though I'm curious cos you said in the video that you've tried all of QR's business class cabins but have you tried the obscure QR A319LR cabin that we get here at NCE during the winter season ? Not sure if it's any different to their A320 cabin though...
Matthew Tasker / The Business Class seat on the A319 Is the same as the one found on some A320s. ( The lie-flat bed seat )
However , the economy seats are different, most QR A320s have IFE screens and good legroom In economy class, which unfortunately Is not found on the A319.

I upgraded my brother using my points. His flight is the only flight on Christmas eve to Manchester with QSuites, I'm praying they don't do an equipment change

My only concern is when the ticket was booked the aircraft on QR27 showed QSuites on a 777 about 8 weeks ago, but when I just randomly checked this evening it is showing the 2-2-2 on the the same flight. He is flying form Singapore so maybe I should have saved my miles for that leg as it would be more guaranteed to be Qsuites. I did ring up and explained this and the customer services said it is still showing as Q-Suites. Its just strange a new booking online for business class on that same flight is now showing 2-2-2 on the 777
