I love how there's a giant landship with more firepower than the HMS Leander and something that's literally a pickup truck with gun on this same contest lol
It's going to get even wackier in the upcoming three videos in this series. We'll see Covenanter SPGs, another pickup truck with a gun, multiple derp gun tankettes, an Among Us, and alot of other fun stuff appear in future rounds.
Plus there’s literally 8 people in that assumedly 2-seater pickup
The official prompt for NnoDragonEclipse's Eq194 Clydesdale (the pickup truck) was to have 6 crew members. While it probably would have more IRL, here it's just 6.

I'm dying for Sproket to add AI vs AI battles to get a more accurate representation of the vehicles capabilities.
It's actually possible in the current state. Start a custom battle, press P to enter photo mode, and press the up arrow 10 times to get the vehicles in motion.

@@thewonderwaffleofficial Why is this game or sim or w/e so bad at showing whether a vehicle is destroyed or not? Even you were getting confused by this. Is that intentional?
More or less intentional. Sprocket will make it obvious if you blow up the ammo, but not knocking out their crew.
In a sense it’s more realistic than, say, War Thunder, where your whole tank turns brown even if just the crew is knocked out.

No kidding, some of these vehicles had wacky names and designs to fit. There's still 3 more videos to go in this series.

Some really nice vehicles.. but it feels like it is more about what vehicle type the AI is not completely hopeless
Maybe to get more fair results you will add additional tank on player side and just stay at spawn so AI wont see you and the battle will be actually AI vs AI

Yep, way more boring, and the AI is very inconsistent, so this method gives each vehicle a chance to be played by a human at least once.

The Fennec has potential, but the tires are the biggest issue. On a street, it would be fine, but offroad it clearly needs different tires.
Yeah, it wasn't very fast either.
I do like that the way this testing is done each tank performs as well as you can make it, and it is a pretty fair fight.
I think the SA55 vs mini Tiger were pretty inconclusive though. I would like to see the SA 55 get an honourable mention, or even be shown mercy and allowed to recontest for it's valiant performance. Either way I enjoyed this. Cheers.

I've seen this in WoT and WT too where someone parks a gun inside another tank and then blows it up. I hate it. I want clipping on my guns. If it makes it more awkward, good, that's part of the challenge. It's cheap to drive up to something, put your gun 3 metres inside the target and then blowing them up.

Jai-902 Fennec is probably my fav vehicle in this contest.
VK 18.04 (J) is just a mini Tiger 1 but the battle was really indecisive with the SA55 120 Pircer, both are equally goo I feel like.
Also the title is a bit misleading cuz it sounds like an AI created the tanks.
Yeah, unfortunately RUclips prefers shorter titles, so I had to trim a small bit of the information out of the title.

Its all based on tactics. No matter how good or how bad a tank is it wont really matter if the tactics arnt good. I think certain vehicles won because he was playing them himself, he has tactics and ai just doesnt.
That’s why I played two rounds for each matchup, as the AI is in pretty bad shape right now and desperately needs improvement. It’s impossible to get perfect results unless we had a perfectly symmetrical map with at least 16 AI-controlled tanks per team.
@@thewonderwaffleofficial yeah i agree. They need to make custom battles a lot more customizable, i hope they’ll at least add free cam or something so its just ai fighting. Although idk how exciting that would really be.

I think my favorite vehicle of this one is the Jai-902; it kind of looks like a Cold-War-era version of the Mako from Mass Effect.

You clearly do better in tank destroyers where you are forced to keep your heavy frontal armor facing the enemy versus the turreted Creations which you frequently leave your flanks exposed.
That m9 mountain car would have been much better if the guns weren't tandom firing

Just reached 11 minutes in and man, going up against those "No" tanks was like putting down a dog.
The M43e5 Currassier looks more like an IS6 than it does a T55 or Sherman. That turret does resemble an IS6 more as well.
Not too surprising, considering how wacky some of these builds are

I've been really wanting to play this game but I saw that they plan on updating the game with like volumetric interior to show where the crew would be to force you to work around ergonomics so I've been holding off until they put that update out if they get that update out I'd buy it

KV-15 would have likely been designed KV-2S. Since its essentially the same turret, slightly better modifications with a far larger chassis and turret mg.

You should be able to fire without aiming down sights in the faster mobile tanks
True, it’s just very tricky to see the end location indicator when on the move, and I’d rather aim to successfully hit anyways.

Dear god... why can we not have multiplayer in this game? The AI is just too stupid. All we need to have reasonable and balanced battles is to set restrictions on what you can bring to the battle. Weight, engine size, technology year, crew size, gun size, add a simulated cost to determine how many tanks you can have on your team, literally all kinds of ways to make sure it's balanced.. This would be SOOOOO MUCH FUN.
Multiplayer is on the roadmap, it's just going to take a few years to get here.

To the person that made the ikv that is not a ikv as ikv stands for infanteri kannon vagn which translated to english becomes infantry canon wagon but up till the ikv 91 ikvs have been like lightly armored tank destroyers made to help infantry on the battlefield not a light tank with a 30mm gun

I think he is obviously using the KV-69 wrong, like any land cruiser tanks, you should position the tank in the way that enemy cannot take out your entire crew in 1 hit(for example, only exposing 1 turret). also like any low caliber small guns, you should focus on breaking enemy track and cannon barrel, instead of spamming at a target that you can't pen normally and pray
Sprocket doesn’t have mechanics for breaking tank barrels yet, so I’d have to focus on their tracks in that case.

in this case, KV-69 is just outright trash and might as well as get rid of all turrets and cramp a 240mm gun on a casemate which is crudely slapped on the oversized hull

The better performing side won. Ratios of remaining tanks to total tanks fielded are used to determine the winner.

While it can run on laptops, you're going to want a dedicated GPU to get good performance. Intel's integrated graphics can't run the game very well.

I don’t understand scoring
It's a percentage-based system determined by how many vehicles each side can kill, relative to their team size. A score of 200 means you killed all enemy vehicles in both matches, while a score of 100 means you killed exactly half the amount of vehicles.

Hamish is not planning a console release, unfortunately. This game would prove noticeably difficult to use on a console, given its reliance on mouse input and how similar it is to Blender.
@@thewonderwaffleofficial I think if they are going to do one (even though it is not planned), PS4-5 would be a better bet as it has a glorified mouse pad on it.
I think the result was inaccurate and biased due to operator error so I decided to dislike this video.

This guys terrible at compensating distances. Instead of saying "that was terrible" and keeping your sights on the same spot how bout you aim higher. Its so infuriating

I'd rather fine-tune the shot and increase the angle by marginal distances instead of going way above and overshooting. Unfortunately the crosshair alignment with the guns isn't always perfect either.
At certain distances, some rounds bounce off or don't pen, even if you aim higher lol. So aim where it'll go through and it'll eventually kill the tank.
