- The Archon B Gen 2 Pistol has one of the lowest bore axis on the market because of the "Speed Lock" Non tilting barrel design Recoil System, so it shoots incredibly flat. It's a unique design and has a lot of other features. It's now being imported by PTR. These current guns are made in Germany, but will be produced here in the U.S. by PTR end of 2024. @ptrindustries @archonfirearms

Great review . If the price comes down some , more folk will get them and other manufacturers might start making something similar. I applaud the manufacturer in continuing to market innovation.
Very nice inovation- those grip variations.👍
The internals- feed ramps, long slide rails, barrel, triple spring recoil.... All add to the no rattle, quality harmonics during firing. Think general flappy polymer pistols like old wood snow skis. This solid pistol design like carbon fiber snow skis. No flex, no rattles.
Ergonomics, mechanical design, parts reliability, balance and function matter

They have altered internals like the sear, also ptr here in america is providing customer service
I have had one for about 6 years. It is not only flat shooting it also has less recoil. It is the only pistol I own that I can shoot very fast.
What is going on with the frame/slide fit on the muzzle end? Looks like the frame is drooping.
Those proof marks give me a warm fuzzy feeling
looks like they are maded with walther tooling, also finish and cleaning of the profile looks the same, good work from Ruag.

Quite cool that they keep updating and improving the design. Especially the new metal frame for competition should be cool once available.
But does it take CZ Shadow 2 magazines? Most think they'll fit, but no official word on it yet.

Hope it will make a permanent place in the market this time, it's really unique also a very solid design, we did not meet with these 2 combinations too often nowadays.
They should also focus for law enforcement market, that's a good gun.
Some very nice innovative features. There were some thought put into the gun.
I like the idea of that modular grip, but honestly I don't know how many people will want to drive out several pins every time they want to take it out to carry, then put them back in for home defense/at the range. I'm betting a lot of people would rather just have a dedicated smaller carry gun. I have very little faith in people 😅

This platform would make a very shootable micro 9 carry pistol or competition pistol.
The iwi pistols and cz's seem much lower and have less mass coming back when the gun recoils.
It would be interesting to shoot all these and compare. The CZ is a good design
I like it. Im curious how it compares to the Caracal Enhanced F you recently shot.
Gorgeous gun, very clever design. I am a little concerned about the gap between the slide and the frame at the front. At then end of the barrel, you can see a fair bit of light through, and it tappers off as it gets closer to the trigger. It looks like the slide and the frame are not parallel, is this a prototype or are they all like that? I have never seen this on another polymer gun before, Glock, Canik, Ruger, etc, they all have slides that are 100% parallel to the frame.

Two things I'd want first is rather than having two small pieces to make the frame full sized how about just one large one because it's one less stress point and the second is if they could just sell the frame alone like a sig 320 without the griptape installed so one could get it stippled.
could have one extension attached to the floor plate of the spare/backup mag. Carry small and go big in a mag change
Hey sootch00 how does this compare to the current production Arsenal Firearms Strike One Speed? You reviewed one of those a year ago approximately. They are virtually identical except the AF is made in Italy, imported by American Precision Firearms.
I have the original. It’s a favorite. Feels great to hold. Shoots great.

These are not produced in Germany or Hungary (those were previous gen 1) but in Czech republic (the new gen 2 with firing pin indicator or the new Type D)
Love the improvements. I'm not really a striker fired handgun guy. I definitely prefer a hammer fired weapon. One of the reasons is that I prefer the option of a thumb safety. That concerns me a little on this for concealed carry. The Walther PDP snd CANIIK TP series have started to change my mind on striker fired pistols. Add some kind of safety to it and I'd consider it. Without it, I'm going to pass.

What is the grip angle like? I heard it is the same as glock.
The slide movement during recoil looks like a 22.
Was it key holing? Target hits look like it was .
Does this top the CZ P10?
Yes. And if you get either the combat/holy grail trigger job from Rain6 it'll start to compete with 2011s

So pins with extensions… I’d prefer swapping grip like p320. Looks cheap and somehow overpriced. Tape on talon grips is cheap.
