I'm really enjoying the league its fun to get some consistent weeks of beach volleyball. I will say one thing that was slightly annoying was the sideline interviews during play. The interviews themselves are fun, but they take up part of the screen and a few went too long and we're only in a game to 15! I forget which game it was exactly but I think like half the match was side by side with an interview. Good concept just hope they get better at holding those to a time limit with limited play time.
What a great time in Miami. Talking to the players and winning the sky ball event Saturday was awesome. Miles and Andy were freaking high level. If they played like that at the Olympics they would have won Gold
Was on the AVP website checking the SD event yesterday and couldn't find who was on which team anywhere on the site! Would think that would be front and center instead of the made up teams they created. Know that has nothing to do with you but just venting, thanks for the recaps though I havent been keeping up so its good to stay informed!
Do you think that they purposely stacked the Nitro so that there was one dominant team that people could stand behind if they didn't already have a team?
@@SANDCASTPodcast yep that's the first thought I had. The New England Patriots and the New York Yankees come to mind. You either love them or despise them. Both come with press good or bad.
I'm enjoying the league but what happens to all the other teams that didn't make the league? Cause now after what, 3 rounds? their avp season is over? I know it's incentive to get into the league but i see less and less teams signing up to play the regular rounds as they have no chance to get into the league.(So why bother) Maybe they could run a seperate normal avp (like a fivb challenger events) for all the other teams that didn't make it, less low-key, but if they broadcast on RUclips I'd definitely watch it as well as the league. How does Tri feel about no more games for the season?
Yeah that's a big downside to it. Lot of young talent not able to play. Tri is banged up enough that being a reserve is sort of perfect right now, able to rehab while still being in the game on a low demand basis
Moving forward with The League do you think it would be better if the men and women were split up. Have 2 women's pairs and 2 men's pairs per team (i.e. Nitro) but separate men's comp and women's comp. Each pair plays 2 games per round, plus have one fours match per round with the two pairs playing together (i.e. 2 women's pairs play together for a 4s match and same for men). Would be cool to see 4s get more prominence. In sayin that, I would prefer a traditional 10 tournament season (same stops each year on the same weekends). Top 8 pairs at the end of the season (best 7 results counted) get to play in the championship tournament (held over 3 days), where each of the 8 pairs plays each other once. 1 v 4 and 2 v 3 at the end of the pool games play semi finals and then the winners of the semis play a grand final to determine that season's champion team. This would mean you can have a leaderboard during the regular tournament season to see who is going to make the top 8. Sorry for the rambling but I would love to see a stable and professional AVP.

Yeah I think they're going to get better every week. Fun to see them having fun

Love to hear all of that. Andy and Miles are the best team in America by a long shot
There should definitely be a mixed 4 man element to all of this. It would be so fun to watch!
I think mixed fours is an awesome exhibition but not a professional sports model
@@SANDCASTPodcastnot 4s but mixed pairs like they do on king/queen of the beach.
So proud of the beach mommas!
They killed it!
We would fill that little stadium in SLC ❤
I get it, i get it 😂
Thanks for the podcast!
hahaha still ready to host a SANDCAST Tour in SLC!

Rosters would seem to be a no-brainer add. Agreed 100% my friend
Think they should do a reverse coed beach element to the league?
As an exhibition, sure, as an element of professional sport, no.
@@SANDCASTPodcast tie breaker to get into playoffs?

Or a team to root against. That's a good thought. Superstars/dominant teams move the needle in sports

There also missing out but not offering court side seats for less then 4 people I’ll pay 100$ for the seat but none of my friends will
A good thought
And also thank you for everything you do for are sport

We actually talk about that exact idea in our upcoming podcast with Troy, that two men's teams with the tiebreak being fours would be awesome
I can only say the league and somewhat random fake city teams makes me less interested in the AVP :/
Bummer :(
