atleast your not in the florida keys when we go up to the walmart whenever heading to miami it seems dirt cheap legit a small bag of cheese is over 10$
You’re trying so hard to hate when i look at each comment you write in the comment section. 💀 She getting what she likes. Literally she can get those bagels cheaper elsewhere so it’s better that she spent $6 on yogurt compared to $8 on bagels. Not to mention how the yogurt is plant based and a good portion. That a deal especially when most plant based yogurt are expensive. Let’s not forgot how she literally said she wasn’t counting so she probably wasn’t trying to go over $100 and she was just getting what she liked while trying to not spend over the amount.
Bruh this is why I do Natural grocers or Whole foods, and I thought their food was unreasonable. 🤦♀️ Thank you for your pain for our entertainment and curiosity.
this erewhon place makes the prices at whole foods look like the grocery outlet bargain market, that's not including when whole foods does their deals of the week!😂😂
When it comes to fruit I just buy the 3lb frozen blend at Walmart cost ranges from $11-$15 depending on the blend…off brand is about $8…. It doesn’t go bad it’s already cut and great to top oat meal or anything really also just a great frozen healthy snack instead of ice cream and there’s no peeling and waste besides the bag itself… my kids just poor it in a bowl and eat it and I don’t have to peel or cut it and it’s a pretty good variety of different fruits
Ive been doing this for decades to the point its a staple of my diet now. Sure I will occasionally buy fresh if its in season but frozen is convenient, cheap, and commercial flash freezing locks in the flavor and nutrients. I eat for pennies on the dollar compared to most people apparently, and im extremely healthy. It works.
That’s literally the cost of produce in South Korea 😩 I buy $10 strawberries weekly, watermelon is like $30 here for a tiny one! Mangos run $10 a piece… I’m so broke
I’m surprised the cherries weren’t more expensive. Over here, a pack with cherries less than that would run you $12-15 in season 👀 I also went to Walmart the other day and saw these firm nectarines and put 5-6 of them. Went to check out and they were $13 💀 it’s almost summer time, why were they so expensive?!
Those are pretty standard prices in NYC. Strawberries totally are $10 now, even at a very average supermarket in a cheaper neighborhood. Organic milk is $8, two chicken breasts ~$10, salad mix $5+, limes are 4 for $2, avocado $2-3, etc. Cherries were always expensive.
Coming from a New Yorker who’s lived in New York his entire life this is completely wrong strawberries have always been around 4-5 dollars in your standered grocery
This is exactly what I came to look for😂 I spent AUD$25 on a kilo of Tasmanian cherries several weeks ago when they were still in season, and the quality was no where near that of hers
As an American thats not necessarily true. My state does not add tax to produce and unprepared food items. The price on the tag is the price I pay just like in Europe or other places... BUT the state bordering mine DOES add tax to food items. Thats the whole reason we cant have a unified tax included on sticker price system, because each state has its own governing entity and sets its own laws.
I keep seeing this trend and let me tell you it’s annoying as hell. Most of the “unique” foods that are shelve stable can be found for cheaper at whole foods or sprouts. The produce is ridiculously expensive for no reason. The only reason to go here is for the quick service counter and to get pressed juice or soups that the store actually makes. But grocery shopping here is crazy
Why do people pay $20 for Jam when it’s literally soooo easy to make at home 😭 I’ve been on a “make everything at home” kick and some things are soo much easier to make than you’d think!
The price markup there is crazy for the same things at a different store you should do the same thing but at the cheapest grocery store well the cheapest one close to you and compare them that would be awesome
The reason the store is expensive is so rich people in LA don't have to shop with poor people. Also, they probably vet and bin their fresh goods (produce, deli, bakery, etc) better instead of just going for whatever is cheapest.
@@XXFL4MINGD34THR4GEXX it’s inconvenient to have a planet polluted with plastics. Erehwon is a Certified B Corp though so (I’m hoping) that means the extra cost is going to ethical wages to all employees, environmentally friendly practices as much as possible, and pitching in to support social issues. It’s still difficult for most people to shop there though so I hope at least more people who can afford to spend their money at these B corps instead of other stores
Used to work for Erewhon, they don't give employees any raises of any kind. They throw away freshly cooked food if not bought because "breakfast is over" we were written up if we tried eating any of the food. Boycott this place
I like Trader Joe’s personally. The produce is pretty cheap, bananas are cheaper there than at Safeway in my area now, and they have unique items, especially in their frozen section. I did my grocery shopping there yesterday and I got a solid 2 weeks of tasty food for about $110.
From the videos I've seen, the only reason why this supermarket seems expensive is because people don't know how to shop it. The bagels you purchased for $8 you can get at Whole Foods or somewhere else for $5. That supermarket should probably be used for their specialty items only. I was gonna say that’s not too bad ! I spend $235 for two bags of groceries in the Pasadena location this past weekend! What can I say, it’s a thing! 😂😂😂
The 10$ strawberries is a way better deal than the option you picked for the quantity 😂
