@@officialnoquestion If we could only get the best elements of both games in one. The best things about Undisputed is the footwork and the variety of styles. Each fighter feels different. Fight night has crispier punches as far as speed and the way the punches look and adjust depending on distance. Fight Night is an arcade style game though. Undisputed tries to be simulation but they missed the mark on a lot of things.
Totally agree with this review. I also wish their was more animations during knock downs, other than the same cut scene of being laid out. in the middle of the ring. I wish it was more fluid where the fighter tries to get up in the same spot he was dropped. It makes the knock downs feel cheap and amateurish.

Agree with what you have said needs fixing but also these issues stand out for me big time and let undisputed down big time. 1 - No ref in the ring. 2- No belts shown in game. 3 - No acknowledgement from announcers that your a champion and don’t read out records. 4- Short ring walk. 5- Terrible repetitive commentary. 6- No cut man working on injury’s in between rounds. 7- Roster tiny and not enough boxers. 8- Soundtrack way to small 9- knockdown animations always the same. 10- charging people for a dlc that’s should be included in base game not only is it lacking it’s an insult to ask fro more money.

This game is unfinished. I won’t insult it or its developers because they tried and wanted to make a true boxing simulator. To start, the game doesn't punish the system of spamming power punches. The opponent just runs around and spams power punches, and no matter how well you play, you will lose by the end. Secondly, there’s no penalty for missing punches. The opponent can swing for 8 rounds straight without losing stamina or movement speed. Thirdly, when the opponent realizes they’re losing, they just quit the game, and it shows up as a connection error for you. They don’t get a loss, and you don’t get a win. That’s why you see players with a record of 156-3... This game has potential, but many things need to be fixed.
I love boxing games too. Undisputed is great offline. But ONLINE (other than remote play) is an absolute sh*t show. Played at my friends over the weekend and its fun to play but the roster is crap, it feels a little clunky and it needs patched. Definatley not worth 80 sheets as the game is.
Man it itches my ass anytime I read a comment prefaced with “I box in real life” or “ I come from a boxing background “ 🙄… So tf what? What does that have to do with the UNDERwhelming mechanics and overall lack of immersion… Talking like you’re a ranked fighter with the WBA or something….. No referee in the ring? Is that a part of your boxing background as well? Simulated training is also huh? Yall just push a button at camp and your attributes magically rise huh? Is clinching something that happens in real boxing? Take that boxing background talk somewhere else man… You ain’t Tank or Bud Crawford, you’re a gamer, and amateur boxer at best, like the majority of us who may have put on the gloves a few times 🤫
Im surprised with all the negativity around the game or past nostalgia with Fight Night. It’s the only boxing game for a publisher to dare to create and release in modern gaming. If you’re a boxing fan we’ve all been shouting out for a boxing game and real good one. They’ve listened and are trying to deliver. It can and will improve.. no other publisher is attempting . I’m a pure boxing fan and cannot cross over to UFC for an EA fix. Gameplay wise . When you mention the struggle to jab close up. In real life a boxer cannot jab whilst bunched up . He has to to be clever and use upper cuts and hooks. Or even get ugly with the head. I love it. Will grow with the new boxers and …. Imagine Undisputed 2025. It will keep getting better.
I think Steel city already blew their budget on licensing the fighters for the game, not enough money has been spent on development to make the game excellent. It is a bit of an advertisement con, you know chocolate bar companies who spend an awful amount on large flashy packaging but when you open it up as hardly any chocolate in it.
Game is trash and unfinished. Shouldn’t have been released. Nothing but spamming power punchers . Ghost punching during a ranked match across the ring. People quit mid fight which stops them from getting a loss. Some boxers are so op, they are only chosen. Boxers are sluggish and get stuck mid combo . Online connection is so trash it’s skipping.
They hide behind not being an AAA company, while charging people an AAA price for the worst online game I have ever played. The career mode is basically just a simple math puzzle and a fighter that goes from fat and slow to kinda fat and slow. Followed the build up to this game for years. Genuinely 7 better boxing games out there, despite there not being one for over a decade.
I feel like next gen has dropped the ball in so many games and in so many ways. I’m just grateful to have a boxing game. But seriously, why isn’t fight night champion available anywhere?
I was having fun with the career mode until I won all for belts. Now I keep getting the same 3-4 recycled fighters over and over and over again. Where is the rest of the fighters that are in the game? Why are they not showing up in the career mode??? It’s stupid. At welterweight I’ve fought Chavez, Robinson, Porter, Martinez like 5 times each. It’s boring!!!
To me I dislike how people keep comparing this to Fight Night Champion, I get it, they’re both boxing games, so it’s really the only thing to compare it to, but it’s an unfair comparison. Fight Night goes back to the late 90’s, early 2000’s and is made by a huge company in EA. This is Steel City’s first attempt at a boxing game, I also believe it’s their first game. I haven’t played it yet, but it seems solid to me. I think people need to stop the comparisons between to the two of them. Criticism is fine, but I say be happy there’s a new boxing game out there for the first time in 13 years. Maybe this will make EA do another Fight Night or another company take a crack at a boxing game. I personally look forward to playing it. I’ve grown tired of the same old UFC games the past number of years, this will be something different and refreshing.
@@SeagalTheHutt Well I’m saying that as a fan of boxing games and a guy who has been tired of the UFC games since UFC 4. They stopped being good after UFC 3. Past couple games have been copy and paste for the most part other than a few gameplay improvements in 5. Maybe no one else is saying it about Undisputed but I am. I’m sorry I’m not in the majority who isn’t enjoying the game. I definitely am and for me it is refreshing. It’s not Champion or Round 4. But it’s the first new boxing game we’ve had in years. I’m having a lot of fun playing it.
The is very decent so far. The ppl shittn on it keep comparing it to Champions but Champions was 5th drop of the series. Why aren't we comparing it to Fight Night 2004? Lol Give the game time to grow.

I love this game and seriously see its potential. Yes, there is still work that needs to be done, but for me its about finally being able to enjoy another boxing simulation after Fight Night Champions release in 2011 which was over 13 years ago. Im very appreciative of Steel City for this and for every time I notice something that needs to be fixed I say to myself "well at least you finally have the base of what you've been wanting since Fight Night Champion". Just the fact we have another boxing simulation on console speaks volumes and im all for it. So much so that I could give this game a 10/10 despite all the work thats needs to be done. Realistically though its more like a 9/10 until they add more fighters. I need to be able to play as Mike Tyson lol.
@tempsitch5632 Not true. It feels just as simulated as Undisputed, if not more since punches are much more accurate and don't just shoot out in random directions like in Undisputed and you can't just spam the same way you can in Undisputed either. Plus stamina drain is more realistic in Fight Night, punches are cleaner, dodging mechnicas are way better and smoother, and physics are still way more superior in Fight Night: Champion. Its just as much as a simulation as Undisputed and if you're going to call Fight Night arcadish than the same argument can be made for Undisputed. Undisputeds punching mechanics and physics are not yet as realistic as Fight Night: Champions, as they can look pretty unrealistic when you're standing right in front of an opponent who's guard is down and you're throwing punches and casually missing them. However, I will give it to Undisputed that knockouts are much more realistic in terms of the time it can take to make it them happen. Both games are amazing. I love and respect both. Undisputed is one of my favorite games right now. It does need some work, but its still a super fun boxing game in my opinion. Fight Night: Champion will forever be the king of boxing games though period.
@10:00 guys…. You don’t throw a jab at that distance. Don’t be ridiculous. Jab is for outside fighting and controlling distance. Inside fighting is all about hooks and upper cuts. Or if you haven’t figured it out. You can jab while taking a step back. Jab while taking a side step and also jab while taking a step forward. Don’t try to jab when the dude is literally on your face that’s just low IQ shit.
@twand7719. And there you have it in a nutshell , it's not a slugfest it's boxing . It's about hitting your opponent without being hit back . The career mode is a boxing simulator not a button bashing beat 'em up .

@@MickeySmallz-ho9mr thanks. I work too hard for my money to waste any of it on garbage. But thanks once again. Hope you have a great day!
It’s a decent game majority of people that call it trash is only because of online
The best boxing game of all time is ready to rumble 2 on Dreamcast end of story
Fight night please come back...I'll even take another champions jail theme idc. Fn3 is goat tho
The punches have not improved throughout the years of development. These devs suck.
This is a game bro better yet the first boxing game made by this company don’t like it refund it and stfu this game is fun
This game lost me when i watched boxers in every clip throwing jabs and straights at the ceiling.
I'll wait for improvements and a black Friday or boxing day sale , not paying for incomplete game I've learned my lessons a few times greedy studios 😂
@@waywardlegacy5045 it's not refreshing. Nobody is saying that, people aren't saying that!
11 loses an 1 win online for now 😂
Lets us reflect on how ea
Has made
Knockout kings 2000,2001,2002,2003, fight night, fight night rd2, fightnight rd3,fightnight rd 4, fight night champion.,.....
This is there first game ea had 20 years to make a good game. I not waiting on ea madden still sucks
No Haggler, Tyson, Lewis, Holyfield, Prince Naz, De La Hoya. None if the mexican legends.
The roster is pi55 poor!
Bro I played one day and requested a refund I’ll wait for a price drop
You can’t move up in weight in this game and that kinda sucks for the career mode
Fight Night Champion was an arcade game, not a sim.
I cant wait till I get mine 2mar.
They just look boring, stiff an repetitive. Like I love UFC but the games are crap
Wow! You wait 14 years for a boxing game and this is the best they can come up with, a game inferior in every way to a PS3 game! Disappointing.
TVM is a boxing casual for CEX credit
Bought and deleted within the same week...
TVM buys games twice for CEX credit!

Finally the truth this game is trash a waste of my money for sure sheesh

First!
Terrible game.
Y'all hate it cause y'all can't box lol
@twand7719. And there you have it in a nutshell , it's not a slugfest it's boxing . It's about hitting your opponent without being hit back . The career mode is a boxing simulator not a button bashing beat 'em up .
