Tip for dodge jumping (from a gold Velma/Batman) If you dodge down and cancel it into a jump in either direction, you’ll carry the momentum of a dodge jump at the cost of only one meter It goes a slightly shorter distance, but if you have less than 3 bars, doing a dodge jump will put you in burn out So knowing/doing this can save your life
Also please remember TAKE BREAKS. If you are malding or incredibly angry, stop playing for like 20 mins and do something else to clear your head. Seriously, it’s helps so god damn much.

About passive players, i lost my count on how many times i started to get passive against a lame player that was just camping and cheesing me with their dumbass character and they just got a mental brak down lmao. I had peopple who dominated me for 2 stocks straight and proceeded to rage quit after being forced to play agressive, getting read twice and dying. Extremely satisfiying, especialy cuz, for some reason, the campy players carried by their main are the most toxic ones.

I love every little detail about this video but I feel I'm in such a compromising position 🤧 AND ITS ALL MY FAULT I've spent 200 hours in this game and almost every single hour was spent playing iron giant. They just changed some of his core mechanics and he's all funky now, yet I'm too used to him to play any other character properly. I his master in 1s and 2s with him, but I feel like a gold player at heart. Half of these tips seem to only half-apply to this giant man bc of how large and slow he is, and how counterable his attacks are. Is it time to switch mains 💔
The honesty is definitely the first part in recognizing where your skillset actually is. I’d recommend trying a mid tier, someone like samurai Jack/stripe (very subjective Ik. If u wanna play someone trash, play Velma to REALLY improve lol) and apply the basics of fundamentals to your playstyle. Iron giant is the most polarizing character in any plat fighter, a lot of things are specific only to him. So playing him might not be best for learning fundamentals
You missed a crucial info I want to share. I’m not no where near a good player. But i can tell you piece of useful info. Parrying when you’re getting combo’d especially midair will help a lot to break your opponent’s flow and give you a shot at a comeback

They always have stage control with their stretchy moves. I have no idea how to get in on them. A good Batman player always going to beat my ass in. I swear I don’t know what to do against the batarang. I’m too stupid. I decided to quit rank because if I can’t get good at it so I’m just done. I hate this game. After battle pass is done I’m uninstalling again.

Mind games go a long way in this game too. My first game I'll dick around staying on the ground the whole time letting them feel safe in the air then next game all the grabs and air combos come out and it throws them off. Then they're worried not playing right if you can get the next stock it's pretty much over because they'll be raging. Same stuff I use to do in CoD and CS1.6 back in the day if you get someone pissed off they don't play well and if you do one more toxic thing after it will set them off giving you the win. You got to play the person just as much as the game. Hell let the person think they can hit you with their little combo each time so many ways to bait in this game. Good first thing is go into training and just learn the max range on everyone's attacks. With the PPG if you kick them off the side you know their dash attack is coming next if you dash back but take an extra step after the dash then turn around and start charging something when the PPG dashes they will stop right in front of your noes and not hit you. Just put in the time and you'll learn. Like oh this person will 3 hit me out in the air so stay out of the air with him or oh this one will range me to death if I give them space so you stay on them all game.
Great video! Def learned some things i’ll try to apply. I will say though, matchmaking sucks in s3, esp this first week where plat+ players are reset, so this all applies regardless of your rank. At least for now.

a lot of times master players will play on an auto pilot and try to steamroll a player as opposed to playing good neutral, especially if they THINK you're lower rank than them. Watch the samurai jack examples i put in the video, he played very similarly to where I thought he had good neutral, but he was just hyper aggressive so I dismantled him once I figured out his habits.

Neutral is the state where both opponents are looking to get a hit on one another. The moment the hit happens, it turns into the opponent who GOT the hit, they’re in advantage. The person who got HIT is in disadvantage
@NotxalkBN I've played a lot of brawlhalla, and I always keep this idea in mind. Giving it a name could probably help players visualize this idea. I remember I played the number 1 ranked joker a few days ago and I think the main reasons I lost was my bad neutral as you are describing it here, I threw out attacks without thinking and kept getting hit by punish after punish probably should have reseted there looking back 😅
