The orchestra is out of sight, but they are an integral part of this performance -they are unsung heros.

Jacob Roberts YESSS. Ive spent many years involved with orchestras in musical theatre either as MD or instrumentalist and the amount of work that goes into the music helps along with great direction performance and choreograohy to make magic like this happen

Agreed, and beyond that it’s a team effort of everyone involved cast, orchestra, crew (the other unsung heroes) since there is an entire show backstage that helps give us the product we see here.

Agreed I love the horn parts in Beauty and the Beast, especially this song. My band director directed pit at a local showing of Beauty and the Beast and we went down to say hi during intermission. I was so impressed with the horn player I went to tell her so and she has been giving me private lessons ever since.

I agree they are the most important part of the show as the pace of the show often depends on the pace of the music. Also, the backstage crew rely on the orchestra as we often rely on the orchestra for cues. Basically the backstage crew and orchestra rely on each other and as a member of backstage for 3 years, I am grateful for the hard work that the orchestra put into every performance

@@kylehutchinson2729 Absolutely they need the stage manager to know that everything is ready onstage so they can start the show, you guys listen to the orchestra so you know which scene is next and how much time you have til the next cue

1:00 "If it's not Ba-roque, then don't fix it" Ok, I laughed way too hard when Graham made that joke

I was apart of the crew when we did this show at my high school last month, and we used the same exact set. What a small world. Also, this was my favorite song.
