I have a very similar setup (but with the Inferno and GH5 and BMPCC4k) and agree on all your points. Only thing I would like would be uni-direction clamps, to stop the monitor 'flopping' side to side on the surface.
Another question. There are two versions of the housing. One for SDI and one for HDMI. The SDI is not much more expensive. Can the SDI version also be used with HDMI-cables?
Yes, with the VS Version (www.backscatter.com/Nauticam-Atomos-Ninja-V-S-Underwater-Monitor-Housing-NA-NINJA-VS?affiliate=U2FsdGVkX18HAQIDBAUCCd1IBNCO/tiavxv91vkEZgA=) you are able to use SDI or HDMI connections. You will need an SDI adapter module for the Ninja V itself through.
Hello Matthias Is it possible please measurements only the ninja housing because I want to buy the same housing and it’s look very big on the site of nauticam something strange in the dimensions they measured including ball I think is you can measure it’s very help if it be comfortable to use
Hello I bought the ninja v monitor in the past I used the option on Panasonic gh5 saving energy when not using the camera for a minute it turns off now that the monitor is connected this option does not work Do you know how to fix it
It don't think that feature works when an external monitor/recorder is connected to your camera. What you could do though is turn the monitor on the GH5 off using the "Display"-Button, since you now have a larger monitor with the Ninja V.

Richard Wait I agree, that can be annoying. 😉
Great content. Learning a lot from your channel. I'm an amateur underwater photographer from the Philippines and found your videos very helpful.
Thank you so much for your feedback Jon. 🙏 Really appreciate it and it means a lot to me. ☺️
Hi Matthias, nice video as ever! I was wondering about the heat the Ninja V produces. Did you ever had any problems with that in the housing?

Thank for your feedback mate. No, never had any issues with the heat produced by the Ninja V. It has always worked flawlessly. 👍🏻

1st lesson in under water photo and video, everything you need cost more than your camera.
Dylan Slater well said mate and so true... 😂😉👍🏻

I just roughly measured mine and these are the dimensions: 21cm x 13cm x 11 cm. Hope this helps

Where can I find that top bracket where you have your monitor mounted?
