BHF X Pelican Harbor Seabird Station

We had an incredible experience collaborating with the Pelican Harbor Seabird Station to educate and train 40 enthusiastic individuals in wildlife rescue techniques! Participants were immersed in learning essential precautions, identifying signs of injury, and mastering the art of safely transporting injured animals for professional care.
A memorable highlight of the session was meeting Maggie, an ambassador opossum with a remarkable story of resilience. Maggie, once injured, has now healed and serves as a living testament to the importance of proper rescue and rehabilitation practices.
