Such a lovely introduction from your wife and how she described you passing the faith onto your children and being able to explain the angelic doctors on a human level
Hey Matt, I just wanted to say I love you, and your work is a tremendous blessing. As a single guy who converted from atheism about a year ago, I really look up to you. Many thanks for all you do. May God bless you and your family.
Living Dust I’m a cradle Catholic struggling and grieving at the moment over so many who lack faith (often through no fault of their own). Needed to read your comment - you just made my day. God bless you - may we meet in heaven!
Rhonda ~ I was sleep walking for 50+ and have been receiving the Sacraments for a little over a year. Absorbed in prayer and study, joyously, as if nothing else matters. And truly, very little does except striving to become a saint...The only goal I wished for as a child. St.Theresa Avila has a prayer to Jesus, struggling with those wasted years. Be Well With God. We are Blessed.
God is good and He is faithful, once on the path that He choose and you are walking together with the Sacraments and daily prayer! Be faithful to Him, greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. The scales have come for me as well a little over 6 years ago and each day is a treasure. Daily prayer includes listening, my experience has been that listening is more important than speaking. May the Holy Spirit continue to be your companion.
Matt Fradd gets this most difficult subject absolutely right. All mortals should prepare for the Four Last Things, Matt leads us through death, judgement, Heaven, and hell ending with a St Frances de Sales mediation. This we have to get right, however else we fall short, we have to be properly prepared for death and judgement. We need all the help we can get, and Matt's talk is a big help.
I have been listening to your podcast for about a year now, and this is now my favorite talk! I am a college student who has been really struggling with my faith and I have even gotten close to calling myself an atheist throughout these last couple years. This talk and your genuineness is something I really admire and hope to one day have. I have felt disconnected from God for a long time, but this talk gave me hope and helped me refocus my priorities. I have grown up in a family very disconnected from God and even sometimes spiteful towards faith. I just wanted to say thank you for giving this talk and being so open with this story. This is a video I will refer back to often.
Oh Cameron, so good to hear from you. Thanks for your kind words and for your vulnerability (youtube com boxes can be vicious places). For what it is worth, I've just written nyour name on my hand and will pray for you at Holy Mass this morning. Great to hear from you.
I give thanks to God that He has so willingly graced you with eloquence and passion in order to powerpunch the Love of God penetrating our heart like Robin Hood splicing an arrow with an arrow on a target. Love you Brother! Praise the Lord!
This was absolutely wonderful, I was in tears. It is so thought provoking. Thank you for all you and your family do. Your channel and this video have helped me to learn and grow so much in my faith especially as a new Youth Minister. May God continue to bless you with fortitude, guidance and counsel as you continue this ministry.
Your A Great Speaker thank you your words of wisdom touched me God bless you your God's speaker 🙏🙏🙏🙏 and I don't listen to many you got my Attention Amen
You are a blessing in the greatest sense good sir! You have brought me closer to God than I feel I have ever been. I have talked in person with Joe Heschmeyer and one of my favorite Episodes of your show is with him. You definitely have a way with discernment, that I could only wish to achieve. Thank you for everything that you do for all of us in the faith, and may God bless you and your family forever!
Thank you so,much. In the year of the mask Matt you and the Thomistic Institute have been a gift . I am a Thomas Aquinas geek . One hint for Catholics. Keep the information on your person that "I am Catholic . Call a priest in an emergency or if I am near death." This was taught to us from grandmas and the dear Sisters. Homes had the sick call Cross and candles ready Father when he came for Last Rites.
Matt, you should have as a guest Fr Matthias from Encounter Ministries- he runs a healing and prophetic ministry up in Michigan and he gives the BEST homilies
Matt, a good idea for a debate (at least to me) would be between an orthodox Lutheran (that being a Lutheran theologian that truly stands with Luther's 95 thesis) & a catholic like Fr. Gregory Pine or another potentially.
Great talk! Definitely helped me reflect and feel more mindful towards my actions and my life! Can you cut the end meditation into a separate video as well? It would be cool to do this meditation often and not have to search through the video for it.
This was an amazing talk and came at the perfect time. Do you happen to have a link you can provide to purchase a Happy Death Crucifix? I’ve never heard of it before.
It’s also called a pardon crucifix I think? But the St Benedict crucifix also comes up when I’ve tried to find out more. Most important is to have them blessed, particularly in the old rite if you can, those ones really pack a punch!
Hey, I never noticed that Eastern Catholics do the sign of the cross on their right shoulder first (I have some EO friends and that's how they always do it.)
I am more concerned about the first four things: faith, hope, charity and love and we know which is the greatest. It seems to me if we earnestly seek these things, the last four things will take care of themselves. Essentially, worrying about the likes of 'the last four things' is a distraction.
Please do confront in a video the arguments against the possibility of Hell Bentley Hart put forth in his book on this grave matter with the apocatastatic title "That All shall be saved"
This is my first time seeing him, a minute in, and I’m wondering if they cross themselves backwards in the land down under. I thought it was only Eastern Orthodox but maybe I’m wrong there too?
When the audience laughed it reminded me of when John Piper became very vulnerable and the audience laughed at him. I can see when a speaker becomes serious, and as Ecclesiastes 3 implies, it is not the time to laugh. Really sad, honestly. Very dark humor.
My wife was advertising Legatus socks ... by wearing them. For the thousands of you who have asked. :)
Such a lovely introduction from your wife and how she described you passing the faith onto your children and being able to explain the angelic doctors on a human level
Was wondering where her shoes went. Lolz.
My mother, a devout Catholic, died suddenly from a heart attack less than two weeks ago. This is very appropriate and timely for me and my family.
I'm sorry for your loss.

Wonderful talk. I have been away from my faith for 40 years.. just woke up about 6 months ago. This talk was really beautiful

I too took a 40 year hiatus. Our faith is downright beautiful and I wish I had seen that earlier.

Matt, your crude honesty is a blessing for you and many people who listen to you.
I really love how you initiate the talk, immediately starting with God before anything else 🙏 This was a powerful one
Excellent talk. The Fradds are a true asset to the church 🤩🤩🤩💜🔥☦️💯👌🙏🏻💘
Wow. So powerful, moving, and relevant. Every Christian should meditate upon this message regularly and often.
God is reaching out to me through this guy. Forgive me Lord for i am weak and fallible. And yet He never give up on me. 😭😭😭

Matt Fradd’s name not in title???
Matt, not sure about your sign of the cross. Any reason?
@@aretrograde7745 Thank you!
Eastern Catholics and Orthodox do that. In fact, if I get my history right, it was the Latins who changed their sign of the cross

I don't agree that the fact that the path to hell is easy means that there are more people there than in heaven...

That’s how eastern Catholics do the sign of the cross
@@kylemyers971 is he an Eastern Catholic? If he is, my humble apology 🤷🏻♀️
