This is a bad take Kevin. Obviously the Mav’s are angling to try to get Lebron. He’s a billionaire dude. He can take the MLE if he wants to. He loves Luka and Kyrie. He loves Kidd. He isn’t dumb. He’s chasing championships too.

That’s the thing that I can’t get past. It’s no secret that other than playing ball with his son, the thing he wants more than anything else in the world is to go out a champion. The Lakers finished ninth and isn’t getting any better for next year. Meanwhile he’s a big fan of Luka and can’t stop talking about wishing he could play with Kyrie and they just came out of the NBA finals a small forward short of a championship and barely anyone is talking about the obvious….

@@SDesWriterI use to feel some type of way about organization forming super teams to win championships but honestly a win is a win right? Luka, Kyrie and Lebron just seems overly stacked when you add on Dlive and Gafford ( and I guess Derrick and pj). I don’t see this move happening 🤔

@@tobiusdawson4639 well they need somebody who can score as a small forward because if they bring Jones back as their starting SF they’re not gonna get past OKC, let alone beat Boston. They simply don’t have enough scoring in their starting lineup. It’s not really a super team when you’re adding a 40 year-old guy approaching his retirement but no matter who they get, that person better be a consistent 20 PPG player or they’re going to be right back here next year wondering how they’re going to find the missing piece for the team.

The Mavericks will get screwed if they go into any kind of deal. This team must stay together, everyone except Tim Hardaway Jr. and Dwight Powell can't be traded.
