I skimmed through the video and I don’t know if you brought up the fact that the p6 leaks are most likely fake. It was mentioned the the paste bin by tails guy that ‘Midori’ got his sega leaks from internal presentations and none of that include P6 info. Meaning Midori made it up.
Mystic did say that was wrong though didn't he? Although I guess we can't really trust what either party says since they both have reasons for lying and the accounts gone now anyway so there wouldn't be a way to verify this

That aside, that's also just _basic internet security:_ never tell your real name, never let them know your address, never let them know who you are IRL - that's always been standard code of conduct, I'm genuinely surprised people expected him to _not_ hide his identity online?
I mean, you don't have to be THAT old to remember when Facebook was controversial for the sole reason of encouraging people to use their real identity, so why are people suddenly mad that someone is _doing something that should be normal?_

@@ScarlettVE his explanation makes sense, however: if we envision every aspect of the account's public perception as gradual instead of static, it makes sense that what was originally just a FeMC pfp made people suspect a woman was behind the account - since that's not true, it's another layer of misinformation that could confuse anyone looking into him, and so he adopted that persona. As for being Japanese, he did translation work under the Midori name, and people started thinking Midori was an Atlus employee in Japan. This is very convenient for his reputation, since, again, one more layer of misinformation to confuse any pursuers, so he confirmed it as true. I would have done the same for the same reasons.
You can tell that this isn't a case of someone leading people in as bait, because he made it clear to everyone that Midori was not interested in dating (the most convenient explanation would be already having a boyfriend, so that's what he went with); unless Mystic was a trans woman in hiding, it wouldn't make sense to intentionally make people think he's a woman unless it were for taking advantage of that. Since he's made that boundary very clear before the reveal, it's improbable that this "fantasy" you mention was ever the point
@@ScarlettVE Very interesting what you are assuming as the motivation. As I commented earlier, the whole point is not being found out so the different the fake identity the better. Doxing someone as revenge(?) because of what ever reason - I am not goning to assume - is much more problematic imo.

I know that sound cryptic but the point is I think more often people just rather be somebody else then who they actually are and are terrified to death that once they're revealed they're screwed which I think is what Midori felt here

I’ll be real, I’m late to this but it shouldn’t really matter. You get the leaks and if someone desires to portray themselves in a certain manner, then so be it.
My whole comment on this is… I think those who were heartbroken by this were WAY too invested in a leaker.

@@alphabae7512 Do I think it’s weird? Yeah. But from the information given the act wasn’t meant to degrade or show that someone is lesser than… which is the definition of racism.
Was it a racial stereotype? Yes, but all races have those and they exist for a reason, and acknowledging them and fact some CAN be accurate in some instances is not racist.
If people were fooled THIS WELL by this slack jawed yolkle, then there must be some truth to the stereotype, and that’s not a bad thing. Different races from different origins have different stereotypes.
The impersonation of another race was not the issue, it’s why he did it that’s important.

Considering how scummy Zippo and Tails are I wouldn't trust them further than I could throw them. They're both pretty pathetic people. Zippo makes false rumours just to attack others who vaguely corroborate what he says and whilst I know nothing of tails just seeing the discord leaks between the 2 show just how pathetic they are.

Scarlett, additional context. There are a few reasons people are upsetting starting with the fact the Japanese fan base do NOT like the leaks at all, they consider it criminal to reveal trade secrets and find it outrageous that mystic said he plans on “retiring” and naturally the yellow face absolutely didn’t help. More serious though is the several allegations or abuse made by several of mystics supposed exes some of whom are believed to have been minors when he dated them (I should note we’ve not seen proof of this last one yet as another content creator is working on that video) .
Personally I am someone who did consider Midori a friend but the fact he did not in anyway whatsoever address those allegations while telling me he had never heard of these people has caused me to cut ties with him. This is a good video, thank you for putting it out there.
