  • *I depart from Anchorage, Alaska to fly into King Salmon, Alaska. From there I am picked up by the company I am working with. I get taken to the cannery where I will stay in a dorm room until our boat is put in the water. At that time we will move on to the boat for the remainder of the the job. More to come in the next video.
    **My name is Brian. I live on the road full time in my self built camper van. Join me on my adventures.
    Thanks for watching!

    I did a tour in the Air Force at King Salmon way back in 1986. Drove the road to NakNak on New Year's Eve to pick up a beer supply from the Red Dog and bring it back to Eddies at King for the New Year's Eve party.

    Really takes me back to 1968 when I was deck hand on a Great Lakes Ore Carrier. Very spartan, utilitarian, and old. Ship was built before WW1. Sure ate good though. Gained 20 lbs in 3 months... all muscle, hard work.

      @@strietermarinesurvey1415 Absolutely! Storm on Lake Erie when the boat was snapping and cracking so loud thought the end was in sight for sure. At 10 knots it took 3 days to get across Superior with no land in sight. Just as dramatic as the South Pacific. Been there too. Swam with barracudas in the Marianas Trench.

    • @MTisOnly1
      @MTisOnly1 4 года назад +6

      Actually we do the same thing for all airplanes, big and small. Large airliners estimate the weight of each male passenger to be about 200 lbs and for females at about 170 lbs (with some percentage leeway for error). All luggage is weighed when you check in and the data is transferred to the PIC (Pilot in command) to be entered onto the plane's flight computer.
