i think it really depends but i see both ur points. if she wants to quit just because training is getting more intense, then that’s wrong. it’s a CCA, you signed up for it, now you have to take the responsibility and commit to the 3+ years u signed up for. that’s how students learn about responsibility and consequences. otherwise, parents will just be raising an entire generation of kids who want to quit simply when things get a little bit tougher. but if she wants to quit because of other reasons eg. the teachers are bullying her, the environment is very toxic, she’s getting made fun of constantly by her CCA mates, etc. then there’s nothing wrong with that. she should, in fact, quit, because that type of behaviour should not be tolerated. if it negatively affects you to this extent, then you should by all means quit because that’s the right thing to do

This is in stark contrast to the previous series of "My Parent, My Classmate" where there was not a lot of it. Children, after all, are learning to navigate their way through life the best way they know how and all the while they are learning new things. So, the onus is on parents to support them in their endeavours while teaching them what is right and wrong, and let them make a decision on where they want to take their lives. After all, everyone is unique and that also includes their talents and proclivities.
It is wonderful to see parents who are actively involved in their children's lives. It must be a fulfilling and inspiring experience to witness your children grow and develop in new ways. You can sense the genuine, uplifting emotions and the hope for a brighter future for their children. ❤

But the end result is a system where students often feel like they are an additional burden rather than active participants in their own learning process. Not many parents can fully understand what their kids go through in school and personal life during their early teens so hope they would realise through such similar experiences when to be like friends, like parents and when to be like an elder sibling as that would really help kids cope with their early teen years and have people dear to them who they can confide in freely. Also, that is a phase which involves a huge jump from being sheltered in primary school to stepping up to be young, independent adults, in this increasingly highly competitive society
My own parenting style is: always go through what your child is going through: look through their schoolbooks and worksheets, be genuinely interested about their friends, play the games that they play and read the books that they read. This allows you to communicate to them as a friend who shares the same interests. This starts from young, all the way to the teens. Putting in this hard work daily as a parent allows you to form a bond with your child that will last. I am a parent who still plays Minecraft and Roblox Bed Wars, read Dog Man and Harry Potter and also know all the quirks of my child's teachers and his close friends.
