reaction to song Kashmir by Led Zeppelin
"Kashmir" is a song by the English rock band Led Zeppelin. Included on their sixth album Physical Graffiti (1975), it was written by Jimmy Page and Robert Plant with contributions from John Bonham over a period of three years with lyrics dating to 1973.
The song became a concert staple, performed by the band at almost every concert after its release. It has been described as one of Led Zeppelin's two most overtly progressive epics (the other being "Stairway to Heaven").[1]

As a child who grew up on Zeppelin in the 70s I'll just say: Better late than never.
This song was inspired by a trip to Morocco that they made. They did just about every genre...you will love every song!
Ahh, the movies sampled ZEP! They're one of the greatest rock bands of all time, HUGE catalog, every music genre there's ever been. Pure genius! Thanks for your reaction.
thanks, for positive feedback
This is on Physical Graffiti album...no they made it in 1975 and the movies used it. This is their creation!
Go listen to the live performance At celebration 2007. See the dudes at age 60+! People have sampled this and this is their music.
They are the original composers and other artists sample this song, and other LZ music. This was used by Puff Daddy on the 1998 Godzilla Soundtrack.
No, this was on their 6th album,I think, Physical Graffiti. Jimmy Page and Robert Plant wrote this song. It was released in 1975. Their first album was released in 1969, so I’m sure they predate anything you might have heard it from. Robert Plant on vocals, and writes most of the lyrics, Jimmy Page, founder of the band and lead guitar, writes and produces the music, John Bonham, drums, and John Paul Jones, bassist and keyboards.
My mother was listening to this song while I was being born. It explains why I turned out the way I did.
You have now heard the Best!
You can almost smell the Moroccan hashish in the air when this song is played.
Ahh those were the days 😵😵😵❤️
Old.,old song 😊
Bravo 👍👏👏
This is Led Zeppelin's song! They recorded this in 1975! Everyone has sample this song especially hip hop! The only movie the song was in is fast Time at ridgemont high
He is describing their trip thru the Moroccan desert (North E Sahara) and how when the sand was blowing everywhere is was similar to "when the dust blows high in June as it moves through Kashmir" a comparison!
Others here have suggested you also watch the live version. I couldn't agree more if it is the one from their Celebration Day concert of 2007 held in London's O2 arena. It is my favorite version of this song and the guys are well into their 60's. Even at that age the guys still had it and executed this song to perfection. The late John Bonham (original drummer) passed away in 1980 and his son, Jason Bonham, fills in at drums and does his dad proud. Please enjoy! “Took a sample?!”

The GOATS😎🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Took you THERE ❤
Come with Me" is a song recorded by the American rapper Puff Daddy, featuring English guitarist Jimmy Page, from the soundtrack to the 1998 film, Godzilla. The song samples the 1975 Led Zeppelin song "Kashmir".
You should see live at Celebration Day they are much older and still bring the heat
Motörhead - Ace Of Spades (Official Video). Speed metal/hard rock from 1980.
I've made reaction to Motorhead - the game, maybe will do Ace Of Spades later.
1:45 ... I can assure you that Zeppelin didn't take a sample of this. It's the other way around.... those lame action movies took a sample from them. Trust me on that...
This music was made before they sampled anything. No self respecting band back then would include another bands music in their own unless they were covering another bands song, but even then they would play it themselves. It was unheard of back then use samples of another bands song in your song. That didnt start until hip hop came about.
Samples did not exist when this was created by Led Zeppelin. I never heard of such a thing until the music industry got lazy. Maybe they think it’s a tribute but I think it’s a lack of creativity on the part of the current music industry.
by word sample, I mean it was already known melody and led zeppelin just took it for their song maybe as a reference
@@rockypants You have it the wrong way around. Led Zeppelin created this amazing music and all the minnows have been nibbling bits of it ever since.
