This was a really good vlog. I use to be a Leasing Agent and often thought of getting back into it. Great Q&A

Hey sis this video came right on time! I’ve tuned in from time to time just doing my research. But now it’s GO TIME!! I am currently getting my real estate license but I’m interested in becoming a leasing agent/ assistant property manager. I don’t have any experience, I did retail sales years ago but I’ve been in the healthcare field most of my working career. I recent like just last week had my contract at a hospital end and now I’m ready to switch lanes even if that means taking a temporary pay cut. Where do i start? I don’t see any postings on indeed. What should be on my resume?

Hey sis, thanks for tuning in. I’d suggest tailoring your resume to what the company is looking for and sales experience is always a plus. I also think you would benefit from starting at the entry level so you can learn the ropes before advancing to a higher position. Keep us posted on how things go!

@@sattimasplatform thanks for replying!, I will be working on my resume this week. Is there a way to get HUD and Yardi experience? I see that’s preferred for most positions.

@@lativoluxury Sure thing and I wouldn’t stress about that. They will train you once you get hired!

Hey girl! Quick question for you. I want to move from DE and thinking about moving to NC. Is it a requirement to already have a job lined up BEFORE I start filling out apartment applications?

Hey girlie! While it is always recommended that you have verifiable income in the state you are looking to move, there are one-off situations in which they may approve you if you have exceptional credit and a healthy savings account.

Do you think i can get into being a leasing agent without having any background in real estate

Absolutely! Talent recruiters want to know that you take initiative and are coachable. You have additional leverage if you have a sales background. Keep up updated on your progress! 🤍
