- I've ridden the first 600 miles on my Royal Enfield Classic 500 Tribute Black. Here are my thoughts, the good and bad. Is the Tribute everything you'd expect. Is it the perfect end to the Royal Enfield 500cc single cylinder motorcycle? The last of the 500.
It's a bike from a bygone era, but is it a classic?
Hi there, Please keep posting videos with your Royal Enfield. I have subscribed to your channel for this very reason. Your classic 500 is beautiful
One of the biggest dreams of my life is to ride a motorbike around the country. I hope I can fulfill my dream one day. Love your video and journey. Ride on, brother.
Thanks Steven. Life is short and fun is important. Make sure you do it 😎
Welcome to Royal enfield 500cc club gentlemen ☺️❤️ trust me once you bonded with her there is no going back 😂 she teach you patience and calmness ☺️ I have a 2018 model royal enfield classic 500 stealth black ☺️ now she is shiny yeah I clean her and shine her a lot 😂 the bike gave me lot of troubles 😂 i mean petrol tank over flow pipe leakage ! Changed the new tank ! Than air lock on petrol tank ! Put a hole through the tank cap ! Than the efi problem 🤦🏻 finally changed it in to carburettor ☺️ now she rides so smooth very smooth to be honest 😂 with sweet and buttery smooth engine without any vibration and sweet dug dug ☺️ want to share this with you ☺️❤️ have funs mate ☺️❤️
Oh my! I’m looking forward to experiencing all the problems 🤪 Ride safe my friend.
Good to see that despite having other other higher displacement machines , you are able to appreciate the RE for its simplicity and riding pleasure, would recommend raising the issues with paint on exhaust and switchgear with RE dealer nearby, warranty support is pretty good in RE,
Your videos are also getting better in terms of production quality and cinematography, and your narration is icing on cake. Thanks for putting in the effort.
Ah thank you. Yes, at my 300 mile service they put in a claim for the switch and exhaust. Fingers crossed they’ll get resolved soon. Thanks for the kind words.
The older I get, the more I value simplicity and character. Fast, technologically advanced, and characterless just doesn't do it for me.
What a great video... A nice bite size length, to the point and well presented. I thought the music was a perfect choice for your commentary and the general laid back, easy feel of the video. Love this bike!
Ahh, thanks Steve 😎
Hello from Portugal. Great videos. I call KALI to my RE classic 500 tribute black 😉 . All the best!
Hi Sergio. Glad you enjoyed the video. Safe riding with Kali x
Hello kali means black in Hindi India ❤️
Congratulations for doing the 600 miles. Mine has just reached the giddy heights of 182 miles.
I did manage to join the Leicester DGR this year to have lots of admirers looking on.
Keep up the video’s and the good work with the channel.
Have a great weekend!
Regards.
Darren.
Thanks Darren. Now take your Tribute out for a spin! 😎
Really enjoyed this. Keep it up.
I enjoy with you the ride. Thanks for your videos. From NZ.👍
Glad you're enjoying it 😊
Beautiful video!!!!
Aw glorious! Looks a great ride on this bike! 🏍🌅🕶
Bugger about the paint and light switch problems. I've had mine for 5 odd months and absolutely no probs whatsoever. I even bought an accessory exhaust for it ( and it's still in its box ) as the original ( after 1,900 kilometres ) is starting to sound awesome. Happy riding from Down Under.
It is not the best bike out there, - but it is the moust loved bike. I will never sell my bullet trials 500!
Nice video
Hey old boy I live in Melbourne got 790 of the rank I wanna see if any off our numbers double up
What is the number of your tribute black?
I mean there are only 1000 pieces of it in the world.
It should be written on the box under the seat.
Hi mate I recently bought a Classic 500, only done 1300kms. The check engine light seems to turn on when I turn on the fuel pump switch (not the key ignition). It then turns off after I start the engine whether it be kickstart or electric. Does this happen with your bike? Should I be concerned?
Hi Daniel. Yes, my engine light remains on (using key ignition) until I start the bike.
I’ve never adjusted the fuel pump switch however so I’m not exactly sure what difference that would make.
There is a very helpful Facebook group for Classic 500 riders so that will be a great place to get some very useful information. Good luck.
Great stuff. You can replace the exhaust with a full system from Hitchcocks. They do a black ceramic version that will look very smart on the Tribute 😀
Thanks. That’s certainly a good option if I can’t get it fixed under warranty 😊
@@TheBikingActor do it anyway. It looks better, it’s lighter and sounds better 😀
Love your videos mate..
How tall are you?
I am 6'2 tall and looking to get a Royal Enfield classic 500. You can buy a new one in Australia
Aahh thanks. Im 6ft and a frequent visitor to NSW. Go for it, you’ll have such fun.
❤
I'll stick to my 2021 Battle Green 500.
Chrome exaust is good. But sadly RE paint job on engine and exaust is not good
I have enjoyed your RE videos thus far but this one was spoiled for me by the “Muzak” style sound track drowning out not only your commentary but more importantly, the glorious sound of Humphrey’s single cylinder. Admittedly, it is slightly less intrusive on the tablet than the TV but perhaps you could consider either toning it down or, better still, dropping the music in future videos?
