The BEST MOTORCYCLE Road in Ireland? Royal Enfield Bullet 500

  • Some of Ireland's best roads can be found in Cork and Kerry. Today's video takes us across some of the best, in my opinion, journey with me as I ride through the enchanting landscapes of Cork and Kerry, traveling from the scenic Crookhaven, passing through the bustling town of Bantry, and navigating the breathtaking Caha Pass and Moll's Gap. But the real adventure begins as I delve into the serene Black Valley and the iconic Gap of Dunloe. Throughout this stretch, there's a friendly 'dance' between Daisy and a sleek Moto Guzzi V7, as we keep overtaking each other, sharing the road and the views. It's a longer episode than usual, but there were just too many good views to share!

Hey Brendan ! Monsieur Le Guzzi speaking !!
It was absolutely fantastic to enjoy those twisty roads and stunning landscapes with you and your beautiful Daisy, that made the road even more enjoyable ! And God, I had to give everything to keep up with your speed 😂
As you know (but as your viewers do not know), I happened to also have a camera on me while I was riding behind you ; and know I promised you to send you this video by email so you can use it or just enjoy it, but for a reason that I can’t explain my computer won’t recognize my GoPro for a couple of weeks now, so I just can’t find a way to export that video (maybe on my phone, but I don’t have enough free storage on it for now…).
I’m doing my best to fix that problem, and I promise you I will send you that video as soon as it is done !!
Cheers mate, and thanks for showing me in that awesome video✌️

Glad you found the video Huguette! 😁 The funny part is when I said "Monsieur Le Guzzi" I didn't know you actually were French yet! 😆 No worries about the footage, I was wondering if I gave you the wrong e-mail address. 😅 Good to know yourself and the Guzzi made it back home safely! Was great to meet you 😄

Absolutely wonderful to relive some of the roads we covered. But we missed those tunnels and lots of other stuff. Such a beautiful land you live in, and for the gateway view I am very grateful.

Bantry bay, busy with Frenchmen in 1796 :) Lovely part of the World. A friend of mine was over there with his guitar and would sing and play in a pubs on the way, Well he got to Bantry and the landlord said you can have room and board if you stay for a few nights and entertain his patrons. Fine he thought, the thing is he was there almost a week as he seemed to have "lost" his car keys, eventually his keys "reappeared" :) It was a memorable trip for another reason, it was there that he met his future wife, and one day after they were safely married, she admitted that the landlord had asked her to "look after" his car keys, as he had been selling tickets locally for the "concert" in his pub. Tricky folk in Bantry, this was about 1978 :) My word, that is fantastic road trip, lovely scenery.

Hi Brendan. It’s been lovely watching todays video , particularly as today I picked up Bella. A round trip of 960kms to the north of Italy and back home to central Italy. Lovely guy who sold his Bullet to me, bought us lunch and gave us four bottles of Prosecco. 480 Kms on Italian autostradas was not the most fun motorcycling I’ve ever done. However the last 10km to my town were fantastic!

I've had to stop halfway through the video to comment because it's made me so happy! Tis a beautiful part of the world, on a fantastic day on the most suited bike for the trip. You're a very lucky man, you russet haired roamer. I haven't seen yet if you went through/ past, Ladies View ? That's not a million miles away from there I.I.R.C, but your comment about everywhere looking so big, is so spot on. I must try to make time and get down there again sometime. Keep up the good work. Now, back to your film.

What I wouldn't give to be back at The Eviston House Hotel in Killarney.... one day soon hopefully, but on two wheels (once I've got my Spanish series finished) Gap of Dunloe here we come! Thanks again for these videos. 👍

    What else can be said?
    Fabulous! Of course. 😉
Eventhough there are several differencies regarding the vegetation and geological aspects, the montainious part of your ride depicted in the video remind me of some locations in the interior of Rio de Janeiro state (not the city) where we may find lovely winding and narrow roads like those ones in Ireland. They are something like a motorcycling heaven.
Congratulations for your channel and for your always respectful and polite attitude.

Excellent weather to ride the Gap of Dunloe. Did you get a chance to ride Ballaghbeama Gap? It, in my humble opinion, has a more splendid view and some very nice curves. So nice, I circled around and did it again. Both Kerry and Cork have some of the best riding I have ever experienced.

I had a Cozy sidecar on my 1st Classic 500. It was a really fun hack. Pretty small sidecar, best suited for children, small women and dogs. My brother's Jack Russell "Harry" loved riding in it and he hated motorcycles. I would take my Japanese neighbor to work in it and she would wave to everyone like she was the Queen herself.

That is some lovely roads there, yet another reminder for me to venture more to the south whesjht in the future, but I dare to say there are some roads in Mayo (around Castebar - Croaghmoyle Mountain) and even Sligo ( around Benbulbin mountain) to rival it, but fair enough - I see you struggle to drop too much footage on the edit floor - its one of those, right? 😁 at least you got some proper weather unlike some people who come up and create this illusion of a sunny Ireland in their videos and then feck off back to Cornwall 😁

West Cork and Kerry are beautiful, but I can't understand a word country Kerry people say, they may as well be talking Estonian to my thick English ears. The roadside fuel pump is something we've lost. They were quite common at one time, with an arm that carried the fuel line over the pavement so pedestrians could walk through. Spent a lot of time in Cork over the years.

      @BulletWanderer  10 месяцев назад

Afraid it's just the one microphone recording audio in the helmet I have, Richard; plenty of channels already out there that do amazing exhaust-note only travels with Bullet 500s though. 😄 As for the music, tried to match it to the West Ireland vibe, but I do have other videos with a little ambient jazz, some of the French ones e.g. In future videos I will try and 'let Daisy speak for herself' at times. Appreciate the feedback 👍
