    Saint Scuithin is the patron saint of Castlewarren, Castlewarren is a small lesser know village in Kilkenny. You actually drove through Castlewarren before in a previous video. I don't know if they are the same people but I found it very interesting you mentioned his name in this video.

      I found out the proper spelling just after uploading this video 🤦‍♂️ No wonder Scoheen was returning no results 😂 Reckon you’re right, it probably is the same person, cheers Eoghan!

    ‘Stable weather ‘ in Ireland means exactly that- you can’t get the horse out of the stable 😂

    Smashing good ride and more wonderful history from my Bullet bro' over the pond! I found an architectural feature you point out at the Ballylarkin Church to be very fascinating...the stone corbels. This feature is also over here in the SW USA! I have MANY of them, carved in heavy Fir timbers, as structural members in my house, aka, "Oddball Manor". It is remarkable how certain aspects of history that would seem isolated to one locale can be found many thousands of miles away as well. We are connected, and always have been. Took Oddball for a ride a few days ago. It was glorious. Looking forward greatly to more Bullet fun.

      Cheers Brian! Remarkable indeed, makes the world seem more interconnected 😁 Glad you've finally gotten to take Oddball out this year, about time too! 😄

    I’m sure the best way of exploring these places is by bike. I genuinely think you’re adding so much more value to your ride but at the same time the bike adds so much more value to the experience too.
    Absolutely fascinating videos. Expertly presented

    Thanks for the history lessons. Your county roads remind me of the ones I enjoy in Wisconsin.... which are a bit wider....without being lined with stonewalls.....also like the cities more and more " round abouts " are being added and old 4 way stop sign intersections have been changed to roundies... . farm tractors are found... on occasion a wandering cow who somehow left the farm.... another danger.. deer... sadly lost a friend years ago to Bambi.... Therre are no old structures... perhaps a church from the early 1900's.... .. near LaCross, Wisconsin is a French cemetery with graves dated to the 1700's... and why are all farmers called John ? but in southern Wisconsin there's a lot of Amish... .... so they'd be called... Joseph ? 😏

    • @BulletWanderer
      @BulletWanderer  7 месяцев назад

      Glad you enjoyed it, Mike! We get the occasional wayward cow here too. Sorry to hear about your friend, that’s rotten luck. As for why farmer John, it’s the first name that came to mind 😅 Jimmy or Pat is probably more common round these parts !

    Nice and interesting video. It's very curious to see the difference between Ireland (and the uk) and Italy. Very different roads and countryside and very different history.
    One thing that's really remarkable is the accessibility to all of this lovely places; they are all near a road. Were i live (Livorno, Tuscany) I have basically nothing like that, and the very few things that we have are bloody difficult to reach, you usually have to hike a bit or do a technical bit of off-road.
    Ps: how is the Hitchcock exhaust going? It looks a bit beaten up and oxidized. Is it the new stainless steel one? I wanted to purchase it but now I'm not so sure.
    Pps: sorry for my awful English.

    • @BulletWanderer
      @BulletWanderer  7 месяцев назад

      Thanks Leonardo! We're very lucky here in Ireland to have such accessibility indeed, something I take for granted! Hiking in motorcycle gear, quite exhausting! The exhaust is, I believe, 7 or 8 years old at this stage? I got Daisy in October 2020, so I've been riding with the exhaust on for around 3 years now. I wouldn't let how Daisy's appears in this video disuade you from buying one. It's more muddy and dirty than oxidized, I need to use some Belgom and 000 Wool to get it shining again (same as her engine casing!).
      Ps: Your English is perfect, don't worry!

    • @BulletWanderer
      @BulletWanderer  7 месяцев назад +1

      Cheers! Bag is holding up perfectly fine , inside everything is dry, a couple white marks outside from the wet/dirt from the road but they’re easily brushed off, nothing permanent . I think it’s aging quite nicely .

    I know the RE Bullet is getting on a bit, and surely a bit crumbly in places, I would possibly say that ‘medieval ruins’ is a bit strong. You know best though mate, you’re the one having to ride the old boneshaker….. :) :)
