That's wild! That you just DISCOVERED a litter of pinkies in one of your boxes?? I guess that's the kind of thing that can happen when you run a breeding operation! I wonder if next video we will see the mama mouse running around in the car?? :D
if i had found a litter of pinkies every time when one of my feeders managed to escape during the cleaning day i would have a lot more feeders than i know what to do with :D but yeah, after several dozens of litters you really just scoop them up like a handfull of wiggly jelly beans. as for the mom, i wouldn't be surprised by finding her in the car or even back in the expo in one of other boxes
Poor pinkies. I get that there was really no way to keep them alive without mom or to kill them humanely in the spot but it hurt my heart anyway. Needless to say I´m not a snake keeper XD
They're clearly too young to be terrified or even understand what's happening or struggle for too long while trying to fight the reptile for survival like an older mouse would. Its not ideal but their end was Far better then slowly starving to death.
Isn't is disgusting the way they handled them though? They literally DUMPED them into several peoples hands. Beyond unnecessary to do with any live animal, even if they are going to be food!
Really loved the interaction between Emily and the first adopting kiddo! I'm a teacher and seeing a child spoken to with respect and enthusiasm in a way that isn't patronizing is so awesome! Especially when outside of the classroom. Of course Emily is also a teacher of young children so I'm not surprised, just so so so happy to see it!
Im smiling at that and curious if it was intentional since Meeka was paired up with a Rose. Great way to honour that coupling regardless. Cheers and much love for giving that cutie a proper home.
18:04 I really like how Emily even though she is talking to kids that are more than likely under the age of 12 sometimes, she talks to them like they’re adults, she doesn’t talk to them like their kids and I think that’s really cool.
Its actually really good for kids to talk to them like a regular human being rather than trying to baby talk them. It makes them feel like you're taking them seriously and value their thoughts and opinions. And if they're young it'll help their brains understand more complex language faster. In general it just shows you respect them and kids will respond well to people who treat them as their own person. Kids are way more intelligent than they're given credit for :)
emily is so wonderful at making every person of any type feel comfortable, she’s so good at conversing and making literally everyone feel good. i strive to be that
I know the pinkies are now food, and no longer with us, but mother had to be very very close. The milk bands in the babies (the thin part of their stomach where you can see if the stomach has food in their stomach) are very clear, meaning they very recently fed. They looked very very new. Possibly birthed on the ride down.
I thought the same thing! I understand they’re feeders and there was nothin else Ed and Emily could do with them but when I see them moving I forget they’re feeders and get sad!! 😭

Not sure where exactly you live in Florida, but there is a breeder's expo in Daytona Beach in August, and various Repticons that go down in various places
Thanks for finding a way so the pinkie mice didn't die of cold or starvation and also thank you for not showing us exactly what those ways were. Thank you as well to everyone still wearing a mask, and congratulations for all the adoptions! Fun fact: While "ak-sah-lot-l" is considered an acceptable and correct way to pronounce the animal's name in English-speaking places, in Nahuatl/Nawatl (the language it comes from) it is pronounced "ah-SHOW-lote." There's an L sound at the end that isn't an English L, you would have to listen to a native speaker say it to understand how to make the sound in your mouth. Yeah she's a chocoholic that's for sure
Thank you, Cathy! Thank you for sharing. My “help” message is You Are Loved.
Now you guys make me want to study reptiles even more just so that when I get one I would be able to take better care of it
Have a good night /morning/afternoon
The pinkies were soo cute. I love all the leopard geckos. Adorable!
I am still so happy i met you guys
I love this channel, you’re both so funny and I love how you guys edit the video. You both have great personalities and I love that I found a channel that loves reptiles, invertebrates, and bugs and everything as much as I do. I’m a nerd about it all lol.
aw! I'm bummed I missed it. Looks like so much fun! I love my leopard gecko so much, but maybe I'll add another to the family someday.
I just wanted to shared because you have such a huge platform and you seem to care about social issues. I was educated on Tyler Thrashers page that the word Axolotl is actually a Nahuatl or Aztec word and it is pronounced more like Ash-sho-loat. The person who shared was indigenous and wanted to encourage decolonizing science and I thought you might too!
It looks like so much fun! I love you guys 😍 I really wish I could get a snake
A shirt folder makes a huge difference!!!
I wish you guys would do an expo in Florida I'm always wanted to go to a reptile show but I live in Florida ☹️ I've been trying to get our hotel who has a convention center to do one but the only expos we've had concerning animals is the bird expo which is fine it's cool in itself but I love reptiles a lot more birds kind of scare me
Not sure where exactly you live in Florida, but there is a breeder's expo in Daytona Beach in August, and various Repticons that go down in various places
I might be moving to Florida in the future gotta attend an expo they must be amazing!
repicon is in south, central west and some other areas of florida i go to the orlando one mostly
It was super nice to meet you guys and Phil at the show. It was my first show, and it was great!
Im so glad Wiggles found a home, he was my favorite too
My marine biology teacher was a big tie guy. He wore a different fun tie every single day and 99% were ocean themed! He even had ties for each holiday
Poor pinkies. Survived an Odyssey just to be distributed to their deaths ahah
Edit: oh I get it... THEY were the younglings
I just love the idea or bringing the Adoption Island with you to the show 😍 hopefully this will be a new tradition for you!
Not a rag, just a genuine fun fact I wanted to share!
Yep, they shall now simply be eaten alive and slowly digested in a horribly painful way. =P
@@neolithiumproduction I don't think they are able to breathe in there so they won't experience any digestion process.
@@neolithiumproduction one bite and they're gone. There's no pain. They would've died in a much more painful way in that box if not given to keepers who's reptiles ate them. The jostling them around bit was a little odd tho, considering how tiny and newborn they are...
Hi ps you guys inspired me to get my own snakes right now I have a VPI ball python and a wild hog nose I watch all your videos beginning to end as soon as I see them even if it’s five minutes after you post it or an hour I’ll still watch it. 😋
At 2:45 in the video I love Cat's hair, it's so colorful!!
Lightsaber guy: "A lot of younlings died today." Well, pinkies.
Squirt is so pretty! And aww the poor pinkies, just winding up in a box🥺
One day I hope to buy a snake from you guys… I been watching your channel for a while and I want to support you the best way I can
So glad to se a lot of young reptile collectors! Wish I could’ve come
You guys should come to australia, most people know we have a lot of snakes, reptiles, spiders etc.. Love your vids!
Just don't go herping down there because most of them will kill you. I mean they have more poisonous animals and insects than just about anywhere else
They want to!! They have mentioned it multiple times on the channel!!
OMG! So many gorgeous Leos. I so wish I could have been able to adopt one or two. I miss my Leo so much. They have such cute little personalities.
That’s awesome that you were able to find homes for so many adoption island animals!!!
I hope the people at the auction know how hood Spotted Cow taste!!!
Omg 44sec ago and i am your biggest fan and i been Watching your video's sinc like 2018-2016 i think, and i love you guys so much
Hello I am a HUGE fan. You inspired me to get my own snake and I am working on a project to send for you thank you
I am absolutely going to have to fly over for one of these shows one day!! The energy and atmosphere just looks amazing!
I had so much fun here! Super cool show
The show looks awesome!!
Thank you for sharing this video~🤗
Me, every time Snake Discovery uploads a new vid this month: OMG, BABY SEASON!?!?!? HAS IT STARTED, HAS IT FINALLY STARTED!?!?!?!? 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
It's the first time I get to see all of it as it's happening in real life. I only discovered Emily just over a year ago.
@@ThePhoenixUnderwater
This is my second time seeing it happen.
I have a feeling, judging by the comments, that it never gets old.
It was so much fun meeting you there! Hope you guys had a great show!
Me :puts on snake discovery
My toddler: hears emily and the snake discovery music at the beginning and comes running maniacally laughing 😂
My best friend's 7 year old daughter is like that! She loves Emily, and I accept full responsibility for that LOL 😆
This might be the cutest thing I’ve ever heard-
I do the same thing when I hear the Snake Discovery music. 😂
One of these days I need to go down to your zoo and bring some pictures. I had a frog with MBD and we did rads. They are such an amazing example of MBD and show it beautifully. I also have some X-rays of leopard geckos and Pac-Man frogs
Emily:”I am one with the force and the force is with me.” Me:”Time to duel”
Would love to see the full auction. Looks like fun and to a good cause.
I would have mothered those pinkies so hard and they each would have been named. I see I am the odd one out in the reptile community xD (yes of course I feed them to animals, too). I just couldn't have resisted cherishing a surprise litter.
