I think I saw Emily tear up a little when Tom Harbin thanked her for what Snake Discovery has done for the reptile-loving community. What a great guy, and he’s so right, SD have helped so many people love and understand reptiles who might have misunderstood or even disliked them before!
SD was what gave me the confidence to raise my ball python, Peanut. I referenced them so many times for tips and proper housing techniques. I have loved every video they've released and it means so much to me how they constantly break down the stigma the reptile/invertebrate community faces.
Not sure how you guys survived this. I was there Saturday morning for a couple of hours and you guys’ line DOMINATED the entire building non stop. I saw Ed a couple of times, caught him outside even, but I felt bad saying hi because I can only imagine you guys must’ve been so overwhelmed. Kudos to y’all for staying so positive!
Oh my gosh, he's so adorable. Like, it's one thing for comments to say Snake discovery has done a lot for the hobby (I swear every video, there's someone saying SD helped them over fear of snakes and I will never get tired of it). But someone in the hobby, who you look up to, took the time to say that 🥺
Last year we went for the VIP Friday and he spent like 20 minutes talking with us about hognoses and his work on the solar flare morphs. He is such a kind dude and obviously loves seeing new people interested in the hobby he helped establish. Big Tom fan, and I don't even have hognoses (yet) lol.
Because of Snake Discovery, many people have come to understand and love reptiles. In addition, many people have learned a lot from the adoption program and started to think more deeply about respect and responsibility for the lives of animals. And this is the RESULT of what you’re doing!! Look at those beautiful smiles!! Thank you so much Emily and Ed!!
I have a beardie (Aegon, King of The Sploof) because of this channel! I had no interest in reptiles before I found Snake Discovery. Now I’m a bit obsessed (lol). I’m so incredibly thankful for Snake Discovery. We just lost our Jack Russell after more than 15 yrs of having him with us and having Aeg has made this time much easier. I haven’t the words to express just how grateful I am that I found this channel! Everything Emily and Ed do from education to Adoption Island is _amazing!_
It was great seeing you guys! We hope you liked the donut! My nephew loves the different isopods we were able to get for him. He made a little Lego house for them and everything.
I’m so glad you took them the RR Donut! My family is from the same area. I always tell people about Snake Discovery but it’s awesome to know they have more fans in the greater Austin area!
As someone who has helped organize similar style events (Book/Author Conventions) I would ABSOLUTELY recommend that the organizers pin point who their Big Ticket vendors/sponsors/Social Media Influencer’s, are in places where you can keep the line going a different direction or all by themselves 😂 It’s a great but annoying problem to have sometimes. You two are DEFINITELY Big Ticket Vendors ❤❤
As a person that goes to many different conventions, I'm shock head event organizers don't look who's at the tables. I love the support seen in this video, but the anxiety in me just can not with the congestion.
@@Nellzurkat it’s so bad to because the Vendor the line is for ends up apologizing to others when they had no control over it. The only reason I even posted was that I could see how bad Emily and Ed felt and it 100% was not on them. They are the sweetest people.

Tom is so right you guys do so much for your hobby and industry! showing off the good and fun side but also the lows of reptile keeping in a way that few animal oriented channels do, and you always raise awareness about ecological issues and envrionmental issues surrounding not just snakes and lizards but tonnes of other animals as well. you are clearly so passionate and driven that it inspires people. It sure inspired me as Im now researching and learning how to care for a future cornsnake which is a pet I otherwise would have never known much about, nevermind how rewarding keeping them can be

You guys have got some kinda godly stamina greeting all those folks. I attended on Saturday and was stunned by just how many pirates I saw! Hope you guys enjoyed the Texas hospitality and weren't given too much of a hassle by the number of fans.

Tom Harbin was so cool !! What an awesome story to be the vet who cared for the first lavender hognose and then went on to make one of the other most breathtaking morphs !! And his accent and just mannerisms were so charming, what a nice man !!
I used to hate and scared of snakes, but not anymore thanks to you guys. Now they are gorgeous noodles, and I'd love to have a lavender hognose one day if I can afford. Love your videos!
Tom Harbin is one of the best people in the world. He was our vet and took care of my family's pets for years. I was so sad when he retired but I'm so glad to see how well he's doing ❤
Thank you both for coming to Arlington. I'm the one who gave you the goodies in the big blue bag. Also. Ed you and I talked about Isopods, I really hope you come back here next year. Do you think you guys could do a video of all the new animals you picked up in 2022? Like the ones you added to your family? I just love seeing update videos and it’s cool to keep track of them
As inconvenient Snake Discovery's popularity would have been for the other vendors space wise, the exposure the channel gives to the reptile community as a whole cannot be disputed. Other vendors would definitely be benefitting from their popularity. Great Jobs everyone around!
I love how the whole reptile community is so kind and wholesome. Like they love to talk in depth with new reptile lovers or someone wanting to learn more. No judgement
Epic Style (Why Not Reptiles) seemed really cool. 😎 Beautiful geckos!🦎 Also, that line was nuts! Everyone was so excited to thank you for the joy that your videos bring to us. Thanks, Ed and Emily!🥰
Seeing what Tom Harbin has accomplished is groundbreaking. To hear him complement you and gifting you one of his snakes is endearing and trusting. He knows you're both ethical and enthusiastic reptile breeders. High praise indeed. Thank you.
its awesome that you guys interacted with fans but i 100% understand how frustrating it must have been for the other vendors who probably lost a lot of business from people blocking their area or people only there to meet you guys taking up space that could be occupied by people actually looking to buy from the vendors
Hopefully it's a short lived line, and many more potential customers show up. I'm sure loads of people were exposed to loads of things that otherwise wouldn't have.
Having been to a lot of Arlington NARBC events it was 100% obvious Snake Discovery was THE draw for this event. It felt like attendance was doubled compared to previous years and the line to see this table was an absolute nuisance. I don't blame them, and I LOVE seeing this much more interest in the hobby and reptile keeping as a whole, but you could tell it was annoying other vendors who were trying to do business. I did get a chance to meet Ed, so it was worth it in my book!
Surprisingly, after the whole weekend ended, we learned that the vendors in front of the meet-and-greet line had the best sales ever on Saturday! I know it's hard to believe, but it's actually what several people (including vendors) told us Sunday evening! It certainly made us feel better about the whole scenario 😅
I told my family this show would be a pilgrimage for all southern fans within a two-day drive, and I was not wrong lol. I saw you Friday but I was too shy to say hi so I just told my husband how nice y'all are while standing awkwardly 100 feet away 🙄 Belated hello from Julie the fishscale gecko breeder! Hopefully next time I'll be more brave and maybe bring you some kolaches!
I enjoyed your video. I grew up on the west side of Houston in the 50's & 60's. Almost every day after school we went hunting for snakes. I was probably around 10 so it was around 1957. Our favorite snake was the eastern hognose. My Mom stressed that I treat every snake as venomous & glad she did. We did make a few mistakes & would catch a copperhead or pygmy rattler every now & then. Tried to avoid the cottonmouths & coral snakes. The last snake I caught was in my shop in the 80's, I found a speckled kingsnake on the 2nd flr. storage area. Took him out back & turned him loose. Moved to Idaho 25 yrs. ago, rattlers, garter snakes, black racers, & rubber boas. I did rescue a black bear cub that had been hit by a car several yrs. ago. Rehabbed & released.
My 6 year old and I were very excited to have a reptile expo near us and then to hear that you were coming to it. I've always wanted a snake and he loves to watch "the snake lady". Unfortunately kiddo got sick with strep throat that week so we couldn't go anywhere. Glad you guys had a good time. It was a trip though to hear you actually say WHATaburger. I dont think I have ever heard it called anything other then waterburger.
Aww no! I've been that kid, getting sick when something I adore is going on. I hope he bounces back quick! And we all know Ed and Emily would (and maybe will to this comment) say the same thing, apologising for not getting to meet your kiddo.
Wow, you can immediately see that last hog has something going on. Had a spider ball python (at the store I worked at) that did the same thing, which was no surprise to anyone.
Ayyyy Athena is my cousin! I've watched this channel for years and I know she has too! I'm so glad she was able to meet y’all! I hope one day I'll be able to tag along next time. Athena 11/10 work she's so creative
This show was less than 5 minutes from my house so it was wonderful to finally get to attend an NARBC, and to see all three of y’all. Didn’t get to meet but happy to experience it all, and hopefully one day I’ll get to adopt a sweet baby from y’all.

My daughter and I were some of the folks who briefly met with Ed and passed along a gift for you both. Hopefully you can make it down to Arlington again before too long, we'd love the chance to spend a bit more time talking with you both. Take care y'all! ♡
Woo! I really enjoy the reptile show videos! There not that common where I live in England so I enjoy seeing them through these videos! (Also just a heads up I think the description is for the wrong show)
Dr. Harbin was my hognose's vet! I had gotten a snow morph hognose off of morph market and he was very cheap for the morph. I didn't questions it, but the hogbose refused to eat for so long. Dr. Harbin got him to eat for a good period of time until he stopped again. Sadly, Pumba ended up passing, but he definitely wouldn't have made it as long as he did if it weren't for Dr. Harbin!
I think it was an oversight putting you guys at the back because they know how popular your guys are and that you have always done the meet and greets. If anything they should be grateful all the extra foot traffic you bring in! Should have definitely put you somewhere your fans could line up against a wall or something.

💜💜 Thanks!
It was wonderful meeting Ed and Phill! We had so much fun dressing up as pirates and buying our first isopods from The BioDude!
Someone better give Phil some treats and love too 😂 thank you Phil for keeping the Snake Discovery team afloat during these reptile shows!
Seeing what Tom Harbin has accomplished is groundbreaking. To hear him complement you and gifting you one of his snakes is endearing and trusting. He knows you're both ethical and enthusiastic reptile breeders. High praise indeed. Thank you.
Poor baby! Rem is such a sweetheart! She clearly wanted attention! ❤Awe. I love her. (I have some neuro probs too, brain surgery & seizure disorder.)
I hope you’re living your best life, just like Rem. ❤
I love Whataburger! Glad you got to try it!
its awesome that you guys interacted with fans but i 100% understand how frustrating it must have been for the other vendors who probably lost a lot of business from people blocking their area or people only there to meet you guys taking up space that could be occupied by people actually looking to buy from the vendors
Hopefully it's a short lived line, and many more potential customers show up.
I'm sure loads of people were exposed to loads of things that otherwise wouldn't have.
@@RupeeRhod I was there. It was not short lived. It was all day non stop 😂
@@SnakeDiscovery that's awesome to hear!
1:04 => I need to find caffeine. Most relatable phrase ever.
Ahh! I'm so proud and happy for y'all. It's people like y'all who make me proud to be hooman!!!
I’m so glad you loved the green basket. And yes, spicy things for you Ed. We couldn’t leave ya out. 😂
Had such a great time at the show! Thank you for taking the time to meet with us despite how crazy the crowds were. Love you guys!!!!!!
I just love her happy energy!
Emily you are my hero! 😃❤
Athena was my fave. They seem so super sweet and talented
Rest in peace Tom Harbin, we all thank and appreciate the knowledge, memories, and experiences you have brought to light.
Bring him next time. Make it happen.
Bless for taking the L and staying home. I'm sorry y'all couldn't go, but v glad to hear you put your and everybody else's health first
Ed slayed me with his kitty drawning omg he is so much fun never know what he is going to do next :)
The moment with Tom made me wanna cry!! So proud of y’all after all these years 🐍 💚
Man, I hope to someday be able to go to one of these huge shows! Looks like so much fun!
So cool! Love seeing all the reptiles' morphs
It was so amazing to meet you guys!
This show was less than 5 minutes from my house so it was wonderful to finally get to attend an NARBC, and to see all three of y’all. Didn’t get to meet but happy to experience it all, and hopefully one day I’ll get to adopt a sweet baby from y’all.
I love how much your step-dad is into helping you with these shows, he even had a costume! He's awesome ❤
As soon as I saw that roundrock doughnut I started laughing. Nothing says "Welcome to Texas" better than a giant doughnut.
The Texas snake discovery shirts, bag, and pins are wicked cool! What a talented young lady!
Emily &ED I’m not sure u realize how much ur channel means too ppl as for me I love it no matter wht I’m feeling ur channel always make my day thank u guys plz continue doing what ur doing ❤
Wow Tom saying you've done so much for the hobby must have felt amazing!
The energy and positivity interacting with fans is next level. It's so good to have animal ambassadors that spread positivity and education.
I think it is sweet how much you liked meeting Tom. You look thrilled
My roommate and I totally saw Ed's wonderful car art on our way through the parking lot! We had a good laugh, thanks for that! XD
17:54 beautiful snake! Can see why it’s so expensive lol
We bought isopods and isopod-related stuff from vendors around you, people were super nice letting us through :)
What a trip to Texas, you did so well. Thanks for sharing your amazing time 🐍 🦎
I love Ed’s kitty cat drawing!!!
(Also just a heads up I think the description is for the wrong show)
I saw this video already, but had to come back for Tom Harbin. RIP beautiful soul.
(I drew a kitty cat) 😂😂😂😂😂
I wonder what it was…
NICE!!!!!
🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🍆
Yeah, I loved this too!
HI
Harbin!
Phil always rocks, been helping y'all a lot lately 🤘🏾
Omg the Buccees onsie I am obsessed. That is hilarious.
The fan interactions are so wholesome ❤❤❤.... The girl who made the bag is so talented ❤
I watched thos once before but I had to watch it again. Rest in Paradise Mr. Tom. 💜
I'm scared of snakes but I love Snake Discovery with Ed & Emily. They and their zoo are awesome. I really want to visit the zoo someday!
Oh my god, the interaction with you and Tom, him thanking you, was so genuine and wholesome. It's true, everything he said!
I think it was an oversight putting you guys at the back because they know how popular your guys are and that you have always done the meet and greets. If anything they should be grateful all the extra foot traffic you bring in!
Should have definitely put you somewhere your fans could line up against a wall or something.
