I would have never known there was a reptile show in my area without you and you are the reason I went. I hope to see you next year. 😁😁😁

    I enjoyed your video. I grew up on the west side of Houston in the 50's & 60's. Almost every day after school we went hunting for snakes. I was probably around 10 so it was around 1957. Our favorite snake was the eastern hognose. My Mom stressed that I treat every snake as venomous & glad she did. We did make a few mistakes & would catch a copperhead or pygmy rattler every now & then. Tried to avoid the cottonmouths & coral snakes. The last snake I caught was in my shop in the 80's, I found a speckled kingsnake on the 2nd flr. storage area. Took him out back & turned him loose. Moved to Idaho 25 yrs. ago, rattlers, garter snakes, black racers, & rubber boas. I did rescue a black bear cub that had been hit by a car several yrs. ago. Rehabbed & released.

    As inconvenient Snake Discovery's popularity would have been for the other vendors space wise, the exposure the channel gives to the reptile community as a whole cannot be disputed. Other vendors would definitely be benefitting from their popularity.

    My 6 year old and I were very excited to have a reptile expo near us and then to hear that you were coming to it. I've always wanted a snake and he loves to watch "the snake lady". Unfortunately kiddo got sick with strep throat that week so we couldn't go anywhere. Glad you guys had a good time. It was a trip though to hear you actually say WHATaburger. I dont think I have ever heard it called anything other then waterburger.

    Dr. Harbin was my hognose's vet! I had gotten a snow morph hognose off of morph market and he was very cheap for the morph. I didn't questions it, but the hogbose refused to eat for so long. Dr. Harbin got him to eat for a good period of time until he stopped again. Sadly, Pumba ended up passing, but he definitely wouldn't have made it as long as he did if it weren't for Dr. Harbin!

    I find how you said the snake with the Nero issues wobble calming down after it eats interesting. Because my enchi spider ball python has a slight head wobble but it seems like it calms down after she eats as well. I also noticed when she gets anxious,excited or hungry the wobble gets worse. So that leads me too wonder if it is actually a inner ear issue and not a neurological issue.

    • @Rebster
      @Rebster Год назад +2

      If it's a spider then it is most likely neurological

    • @SmaySerpents
      @SmaySerpents Год назад

      @@Rebster I just feel like if I was neurological problems it would be displayed all the time her head only wobbles when she’s excited or about too eat. If it was a inner ear problem then that would affect the equilibrium and cause animal too have balance issues witch would make them wobble.

    • @ramothofpern8358
      @ramothofpern8358 Год назад +1

      @@SmaySerpents Neurological issues are typically not constant either. In situations, where she is more high strung / more reactive many neurological problems will show more than when she's relaxed / sleepy. It's because in the first case the nervous system is constantly telling the muscles to be ready "you might be needed at a moments notice", but since something in the general communication of the nerves is screwed, that makes the animal wobble instead of beeing a little tenser. If the nerves have less to say, because it's ok for the muscles to relax, there is less wobbling.
      There is even something called Intention Tremor in some neurological illnesses. The animal is completly normal while keeping still. But as soon as they want to move (mostly the head) they start shaking like crazy. Looks real creepy.
      PS sorry for answering to a month old comment and sorry for and language mistakes
