That was a great explanation! You answered some of my questions. My mild lyhadema is caused by node removal. So I have been doing your exercises dry brushing an message along with an inexpensive pump system. Also walking every day seems to be helping quite a bit. I believe your videos have saved me from a worsening condition. There are no specialists near me so your videos have been a life saver! Keep up the great work!
I just subscribed as you are very knowledgeable. I have had lymphedema badly for about 7 months now. It's very painful. I had a vein ablation on my right leg, the worst one last week. I'm having the ablation on my left leg next week. It's a very painful procedure due to the swelling. I am hoping to find a lymphedema specialist to help me get one of those machines. I can't stand the pain any longer and am losing hope.
I used my pump first time torso and legs only. I could tell The leg part really worked but I think the torso part made me sick cuz I had frequent BMs and was really nausea the whole night and next day. I read that this is normal so hopefully my body will adjust after treatments and I'm going to start doing your massage too.
I've watched alot of your videos, do you recommend lymphatic drainage using a thera gun? If so can you do a video on it and please to show each area of body, Or this combined with hand drainage technique. Thankyou for your videos over the years. Also how would we use a thera gun for fibrosis. ( I ask this as have bad Osteoarthritis in wrists and hands, so looking for a way to self manage). Many thanks.
I recoomend the powerpress recovery pump on Amazon, It has zip on sleeves it is $400 and so much better than the one i got from Tactile for $5000 and paid $500 for it out of pocket with my deductable, i didnt like the velco tabs that was hard getting on and enclosed. It was a waste of money.
I trialled a compression pump for the lymphoedema in my arm. Over two weeks, using daily, I found a real difference in the fluid retention not so much in the arm, but the chest area, and was well pleased! However, I did suffer an attack of Cellulitis which seemed to be linked to this treatment. I did seriously consider buying a compression pump, although they are quite expensive, but taking into consideration the maintenance costs etc. and the fact in the U.K. there isn't a great deal of reviews from owners of the devices, reluctantly decided against. I believe that using a pump early on in lymphoedema could be very advantageous. My own lymphoedema is the result of breast cancer twenty years ago, and unfortunately some parts of the arm are difficult to clear.
My left leg has two big fibrosis. doctor asked me to go for surgery. i am contemplating it. Meantime, i am going to obtain a pump soon. i will have to inport it from outside. But i need to know can i use the pump if i have fibrosis? is it detrimental? can Kelly pls answer? it would be big help. Thx. Rgds. Arifa
Kelly, I've read about something called Pressotherapy today, 10.4.24. in the UK. Can I please ask your opinion, have you heard about this ? Apparently it is for full body lymphatic drainage massage. Would it be helpful for Lipo-Lymphoedema and Lymphoedema patients.
I was taught in Physical therapy to start from the top and work your way down. The congestion can’t move unless you work from the top down. So why do the pumps work from the bottom to the top? I never see any results with my pump. Even if I use it 3 x per day. I’m wondering if this is why I never see results in my leg because it doesn’t pump from the top to the bottom?

I have a pump for arm lymphodema, in aPoland not many PT that know much about my condition, had to learn everything trial and error
Unfortunately that is the case for a lot of the medical world!
I have the pump for my legs and it is wonderful. I also massage. If my legs swell a lot I put the wraps on overnight
Love this!
